There are numerous non-biblical accounts documenting His crucifixion and resurrection. I choose to believe, based on evidence, that Jesus was God in flesh. Bill OReilly is a skillful debater. He took an attacking position first and did not acknowledge the validity of many of Dawkins' statements. Instead, he immediately capitalizes on Dawkins' comment and incorporates some of the content as part of his own view, even if indirectly. Bill OReilly is very definitely intelligent and does understand Dawkins' points very well. Atheism requires a greater degree of courage for believers of religion to face the implicit bonds between the words of doctrine and their underlying fears of what life and death will be like without faith as a habit. For whatever reason, OReilly does not admit to a sufficient degree of doubt which supports a transition to the frankest view of nature which is scientific. The faith response can be called laziness at a superficial level of assessment but there is a deeper personal emotional challenge to take a meta view of what psychological training we mostly receive in our youth and cultural upbringing. Atheists/agnostics too owe to themselves to have a clear ability to express their view of nature and the cosmos. A commitment to a scientific view does not obliterate our social humanity.

Bill OReilly is a skillful debater. He took an attacking position first and did not acknowledge the validity of many of Dawkins' statements. Instead, he immediately capitalizes on Dawkins' comment and incorporates some of the content as part of his own view, even if indirectly. Bill OReilly is very definitely intelligent and does understand Dawkins' points very well. Atheism requires a greater degree of courage for believers of religion to face the implicit bonds between the words of doctrine and their underlying fears of what life and death will be like without faith as a habit. For whatever reason, OReilly does not admit to a sufficient degree of doubt which supports a transition to the frankest view of nature which is scientific.
The faith response can be called laziness at a superficial level of assessment but there is a deeper personal emotional challenge to take a meta view of what psychological training we mostly receive in our youth and cultural upbringing.
Atheists/agnostics too owe to themselves to have a clear ability to express their view of nature and the cosmos. A commitment to a scientific view does not obliterate our social humanity.
