    I've been doing this for 3 weeks because my hair was shedding. Already the shedding has decreased significantly! I let the rice water ferment (spoil) for 2-3 days and it doesn't smell rotten. I add lavender and orange essential oils and use it as a rise after I shampoo. I place the rice water in a large bowl and use a plastic cup to just dump it over my hair. I let it sit for about 10 minutes then rinse and follow with a deep conditioner using steam. My hair comes out so soft and is super easy to detangle💁🏽

      Bethany Derby that's the beauty of UA-cam, specially this channel now. She try it, it works, we try it!! 💡 btw! The overnight eggs and oil treatment is awesome. If you watch the video I tell you, I tried it the same night after she posted and had a FRESH color so I can tell it really worked 😄

      Luna Azul Yes her channel is amazing! I saw that video, but I didn't try it. But now I will try it, I hope it works for me too. Do you use it regularly? And will you be trying this one?

    • @TeAmoCristoJesus
      @TeAmoCristoJesus 7 років тому +6

      Bethany Derby I only did it once, the same night she posted the video. I forgot to do a length check before, but I had a new hair color from just days before and my roots grew about one inch, I noticed the next night and was shocked because my color took lighter on my roots and I hated it lol so the change was obvious. I will try it again tomorrow night. I don't think we should do it more than once a month because it could give us protein overload, unless you are relax, I don't think you should do it more than that. I will be trying the rice water. Can you believe I never thought of using it for my hair, but I have used it for my face. It helps to clear acne, my mom pass that little secret to me. I will be letting you know on Monday if it worked again. Try it, it will work. Don't forget to massage your scalp.

    • @officially_ama
      @officially_ama 7 років тому +2

      Luna Azul Thank you very much. If it works for me I will add it to my regimen and do it a once a month, even though the bathroom will smell bad lol. I can understand that you didn't use the ricewater on your hair if you didn't see anyone else doing it. I hope it works for you. Thank you again and yeah I will massage my scalp!

      I do mine a little differently than what was shown in the video. I use the same technique to make the rice water except after the fermentation I keep it in the fridge so it is cold when I use it. I use it as a final rinse after deep conditioning then style as usual. It has worked wonders for me!! I have noticed way less shedding, and way more shine!

    Please remember ladies, though this technique is amazing...rice grown in the U.S. (Especially from the south) are high in arsenic. That's why many people wash rice prior to cooking so if your rice is coming from another country it might be safer.

    ARGON OIL, TEA TREE OIL, PEPPERMINT OIL, ROSEMARY OIL. My hair grew a little over 4 inches in a month in a half. I will not use anything else. I've finally found something that my hair likes. Blessings to all.

  • @crystalharris1065

    Don't worry, Maryam! (You will follow your own advice soon.) You are on your way to INCREDIBLY lengthy hair! The only reason you straighten your hair is because you like to enjoy your (hard-earned) length. I think that's pretty much the reason most of us naturals straighten our hair. Just continue to be diligent, and soon your hair--- even in its shrunken state--- will hang down to your waist or hips:-) Keep up the excellent work!

      strength and length for hair is genetics. Theirs a reason why Asians and Indians have long thick hair and your average white women doesn't. BUT I recommend anyone trying to grown better hair to eat, sleep and drink enough water. Most people have the ability to grow great hair but have a super toxic environment of eating poorly and not drinking water to detoxify. Take care of yourself and you'll see results.

    Do not boil the water! Put the rice in the water and let the nutrients soak 12-24 hours! You will boil the nutrients and vitamins out

    • @EDPaul-by6di
      @EDPaul-by6di 6 років тому +5

      Jamaica Streater Boiling the rice actually extracts more nutrients into your water. Then let it ferment for 1 week or more. ( the more fermented the better).However do not boil after fermentation.
      Tip: while fermenting add orange peels to lessen the smell.

    Yeah, i think the reason their hair is so long is because of low manipulation, like u mentioned, not cutting their hair but once in their lives, and not using man-made shampoos and conditioners. Not necessarily the rice water. I'm pretty sure all of us could do that, and especially those with straight hair, and get the same results without the rice water.

    • @Skalyon2
      @Skalyon2 7 років тому +21

      i agree. I used to have dreads for 18 years. my hair was down to my legs. this was due to very low manipulation and no shampoo or conditioner but only natural products from the earth such as hibiscus flowers, aloe vera and cactus. I had very healthy and thick hair.

    Hi, love this video and your hair is so pretty. However I read in several articles that you shouldn't reboil the water after fermentation because it kills the nutrients that make rice water work. Also, some people use the water after soaking as treatment and not boiling it at all. Thoughts?

Then put in your conditioner/hollow your regular hair routine. It makes your hair stronger and is a good heat protector.

    Please help. My hair has always been my pride and joy. I figured since it is pretty damn healthy, it could deal with some bleach damage. And I figured the master stylist who did all the color-corrections would know how much would be too much. I was wrong, and now I want to burst into tears every time I look at my hair or touch it. I just don't know what to do. my hair has also NEVER been shorter than this and it breaks and falls out. What should i do to regrow hair?
