Once they were asked if they knew what is the meaning of "moi moi" in Finland, and Yui answered (as a joke) that was their nickname, it's Moa+Yui combined. In western alphabet Yui and Moa names have 3 letters but in japanese they have only 2 (Moa = もあ・Yui = ゆい) so if you take one letter from each name it turns into もい (Moi). In Japan people likes to repeat sounds in nicknames, like if a girl is called Mayu her friends probably are gonna call her Mayuyu, or if she's Yume she then will be YumeYume, etc... it also happens with onomatopoeia like doki-doki, waku-waku, puni-puni, etc... So that's how they became もいもい (MoiMoi).

They had 4 songs, two on each album (same number as Su had solo songs). On the first album '4 No Uta' (or 'Song 4' - Yui and Moa have full writing credits for lyrics and music as Black BABYMETAL, the arrangement was somebody else of course) and 'Onedari Daisakusen'. The platforms you asked about were from one of their two shows at Tokyo Dome. That's a huge indoor baseball stadium in Tokyo. They played in the round there for 2 nights. They sold out each night. Oh, Tokyo dome seats 55000, so in two nights they played to roughly 110,000 people. Next, this was not just Babymetal, but BLACK Babymetal. They have a subgroup within the group. This is effectively how they explain Su taking a break, which they need while dancing and singing to metal. "Do not listen to this in the car. You know you're gonna get a ticket" is something that you can say of a lot of Babymetal songs I think. There is sadness that we can't see these songs and such live having discovered them too late, BUT we can be thankful that the proshot videos of their big concerts are so well done so that we can get at as much of that experience as you can get without being there. You are right. They don't perform any of the Black Babymetal songs anymore (there are four of them). Moa tried performing "G.J." solo in 2018 and although I haven't personally read the interview in question, apparently she said she didn't really enjoy it. So we probably won't see that happen again.

It has been mentioned elsewhere as well, but this was a compilation video. Not too shabby in terms of timing, but location wise the girls are all over the place. Someone who would want to rewatch these performances I'd recommend to watch any original version, it has been performed many times. And OldSkuleNerd, yeah, it is sad this will never be performed, and sad we'll never see it performed live again, but its best to look forward and enjoy what we can in the future. I for one was also rather late on the Babymetal train, I became a fan around the mid 2017, just before the era of darkness began, I really feared I would never see them live at all. But I am glad they kind of weathered the storms.
Su devours men's souls with her death stare, while Moa and Yui just simply tear them apart with their hands while screaming with their cute voices! In my opinion, this is the group's most aggressive song lyrically since it is about hurting crappy selfish boys, and it also has the most aggressive choreography of all their performances.

Nice again & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 The words used in this lyrics are harsh, aggravating and brutal especially for girls. But the combination of such overstated aggressiveness and their facial expression (overly serious and a little smile) indicates they are trying to encourage boys and inflame their guts. That is why the guys at the venue chant to the girls' moves smilingly and happily. I love their girly and benign sideward kicks not intending to hurt anyone. And the scene at 05:29 in your video where Yui & Moa spread their arms and shrug their shoulders cutely saying "what shall I do ? (to guys begging them for forgiveness)" is lovely.
the words at the beginning of the song are a bible verse: "i watched as the lamb opened the first of the seven seals. then, i heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, 'come!'" apparently this is jesus (the lamb) opening a scroll from god which causes the four horsemen (the four living creatures) to descend upon the land. i reckon this song is positioning yui and moa as the horseman of war, riling people up and telling them to fight and let the anger in their chests scream out. "it doesn't matter if you win or lose, only if you're serious about it" takes on a different meaning :) also, the 'come!' isn't included in the intro, and i personally interpret the final line of the song (kakatte koi ya! - bring it on!) to be the completion of the verse. hope this is interesting to someone :)

Yui was on a stream many years ago now, and when asked said that Moa and Yui were Moi Moi, which is the first part of Moa's name combined with the back part of Yui's name, and which means all that other stuff. So Moi Moi is Yui and Moa. The fox sign came about when when they started out, Babymetal were shown photos of Ronnie James Dio flashing the horns, and the girls saw it as a shadow fox, and went around making shadow foxes. And no one corrected them.
You should definitely check out Poets of the Fall - Carnival of Rust. Poets of the Fall is a Finnish rock band, not metal, but the singer has an amazing voice. Also the entire song is beautifully written and performed. If you check them out, make sure it's a live video. His voice is better live than in studio.
Great reaction to the best Metal song ever about how boys can be assholes sometimes and need to shape up (another subject that Rammstein and Maiden have yet to address). One point: this was 2 performances compiled into one video...they were singing while standing next to each other at one performance and were at opposite ends of the huge runways at the other performance. I'm 59 and been enjoying Metal and Rock since the 70's and they scare me sometimes too! I mean, if I was in a balloon basket with all 3 of them and one of us had to jump to keep the others aloft, I know who'd be jumping. What you were watching was a very high level of talent. Including focus and professionalism that is not that common with western entertainers ONE last point, their Charisma which you have naturally. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a huge fan of Babymetal. There are a whole lot of other bands from Japan that's a lot better than them in my opinion, BUT I'll admit that they DO have some good songs. One of them being Pa Pa Ya.

There is sadness that we can't see these songs and such live having discovered them too late, BUT we can be thankful that the proshot videos of their big concerts are so well done so that we can get at as much of that experience as you can get without being there. You are right. They don't perform any of the Black Babymetal songs anymore (there are four of them). Moa tried performing "G.J." solo in 2018 and although I haven't personally read the interview in question, apparently she said she didn't really enjoy it. So we probably won't see that happen again.

It has been mentioned elsewhere as well, but this was a compilation video. Not too shabby in terms of timing, but location wise the girls are all over the place.
Someone who would want to rewatch these performances I'd recommend to watch any original version, it has been performed many times.
And OldSkuleNerd, yeah, it is sad this will never be performed, and sad we'll never see it performed live again, but its best to look forward and enjoy what we can in the future.
I for one was also rather late on the Babymetal train, I became a fan around the mid 2017, just before the era of darkness began, I really feared I would never see them live at all. But I am glad they kind of weathered the storms.

In my opinion, this is the group's most aggressive song lyrically since it is about hurting crappy selfish boys, and it also has the most aggressive choreography of all their performances.

But the combination of such overstated aggressiveness and their facial expression (overly serious and a little smile) indicates they are trying to encourage boys and inflame their guts. That is why the guys at the venue chant to the girls' moves smilingly and happily. I love their girly and benign sideward kicks not intending to hurt anyone. And the scene at 05:29 in your video where Yui & Moa spread their arms and shrug their shoulders cutely saying "what shall I do ? (to guys begging them for forgiveness)" is lovely.
the words at the beginning of the song are a bible verse: "i watched as the lamb opened the first of the seven seals. then, i heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, 'come!'" apparently this is jesus (the lamb) opening a scroll from god which causes the four horsemen (the four living creatures) to descend upon the land. i reckon this song is positioning yui and moa as the horseman of war, riling people up and telling them to fight and let the anger in their chests scream out. "it doesn't matter if you win or lose, only if you're serious about it" takes on a different meaning :) also, the 'come!' isn't included in the intro, and i personally interpret the final line of the song (kakatte koi ya! - bring it on!) to be the completion of the verse. hope this is interesting to someone :)

Yui was on a stream many years ago now, and when asked said that Moa and Yui were Moi Moi, which is the first part of Moa's name combined with the back part of Yui's name, and which means all that other stuff. So Moi Moi is Yui and Moa.
The fox sign came about when when they started out, Babymetal were shown photos of Ronnie James Dio flashing the horns, and the girls saw it as a shadow fox, and went around making shadow foxes. And no one corrected them.

You should definitely check out Poets of the Fall - Carnival of Rust. Poets of the Fall is a Finnish rock band, not metal, but the singer has an amazing voice. Also the entire song is beautifully written and performed. If you check them out, make sure it's a live video. His voice is better live than in studio.
Great reaction to the best Metal song ever about how boys can be assholes sometimes and need to shape up (another subject that Rammstein and Maiden have yet to address). One point: this was 2 performances compiled into one video...they were singing while standing next to each other at one performance and were at opposite ends of the huge runways at the other performance. I'm 59 and been enjoying Metal and Rock since the 70's and they scare me sometimes too! I mean, if I was in a balloon basket with all 3 of them and one of us had to jump to keep the others aloft, I know who'd be jumping. Mind you, Su would only have to ask and I'd gladly jump to save them anyway...the best I'd be hoping for was that they might wave as I disappeared downwards. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a huge fan of Babymetal. There are a whole lot of other bands from Japan that's a lot better than them in my opinion, BUT I'll admit that they DO have some good songs. One of them being Pa Pa Ya.
