Great song and singing Chris, just curious, is that the guitar your grandpa gave your dad as a kid? I saw you interview your dad and he mentioned his dad giving him a Gibson when he was 10. Oh, and ya'll were great in Topeka, thanks for being kind enough to take a picture with me,
No, that is not my father's guitar, although it is only 1 year older. The one in the video was given to us by my Uncle Lem Stricklin. It was in pretty bad shape when he gave it to us, but years later we took it to the Gibson factory where their custom luthier Moses worked it over and made it like new. It is an electric... a 1950 ES-150. Dad's acoustic is a 1949 L-50.
I love Rusty so much. I never met him in person, but he spoke to me on this UA-cam. He had a spirit to help me believe in Jesus. I am sad for your loss, Chris. My brother and mother passed away also. So I know the sadness. Love you - Jules
