For Rebecca and her favorite Pixar film.
Daniel Shevlin and Can Yasar are actor/musicians based in New York City. Both come from a musical theater background of performing and writing/arranging/orchestrating for the stage. After another person, Josh, has grown tired of playing the same lullabies to help put his son Levi to sleep, he reached out to Can Yasar (pronounced John) who worked for taking care of little Levi with an idea of building a new UA-cam channel to include both original songs written by Can, and cover songs that both Josh, and other parents, have hummed to get their kids to sleep. The style of music Daniel Shevlin and Can Yasar has created is calming and relaxing and has grown in popularity over the years for adults, so these songs are for them as well as their babies. Ultimately bringing a little bit of zen into the world with Zen Monkey Music.
wow -- have been looking for something like this forever. really really wonderful job.
here's hoping for more Pixar arrangements. playing w/ Randy Newman's work in this format would be so fun to listen to.
One of us over here had his mother in law’s band play “You got a friend in me,” at his wedding’s cocktail hour. 😌
