I bought the GH5 upon its release 7 years ago. It is my main camera to this day, I have done work with it in extreme conditions and it has never missed a beat. In my opinion it was the most revolutionary camera ever, considering it has specifications that are still cutting edge today. Just consider that Panasonic has just released the Lumix S9, which even has a 15-minute recording limit, no EVF, no dual SD slot...
I still have 3 GH5 bodies, one G9, and a GH6 aBMPCC4K with lots of M43 lenses. Mostly used for documentary style production. Im near to sell all equipment and move to Pansonic Full frame S5MIIX. I value less noise in images, more dinamice range and the autofocus imrpoovement since I plan to start filiming myself for my business. Im watching GH5 productions like yours and honestly it makes me reconsider my move. Do I need or really want FF? Honestly with Topaz AI help, probably I dont need it and M43 is good enough knowing how to squeeze the best of our cameras. Although having cleaner images in a full frame body without noise could make my workflow faster. I also do Real Esatte and M43 is not bad at all for it. Thank you for your video. It makes me remember why I first got a GH5. It was such a good camera in the moment it has been launched, and still is. Thank you and congratulations for this good production you made. It has been inspiring. Honestly for what I do its not needed more than a GH5, its more a pleasure than anything else.
Thank you for the comment! I thought about switching to full frame but I changed my mind, I also have gh6 and today I am very happy with the choice. I can do anything, the noise doesn't bother me, I love the stabilization and the various formats it has available. Simply put, I love the m43
Gh5 has better details than GH6 and less noise reduction, it also has I-Dynamic. The GH6 has 4K 120fps and nicer colors in my opinion but I still prefer my GH5.
@@rolandogarcia2510 Fine details in 4K and C4K. The GH6 has much better moiré control but the fine details are not as good. If you don't crop in your video, you probably can see the difference. In 5,7K Pro res, the GH6 has perfect details, but the IBIS is not as good as in 4K and C4K.
Why does every "cinematic video" feel the need to have the same copy/paste cringey voiceover that tries to make some profound and philosophical point? It's like some big youtuber did it once in 2017 and everyone's been copying it since. Please can we end this stupid and overused trend. Anyway, apart from that I thought the videography was great! Amazing what this camera can still do
