Ada has issues that Leon doesn’t deserve to deal with but god you can tell he really does have a spot in his heart for her. I do think Ada likes him too but prioritizes her work/financial gain. Im so conflicted if they should be a ship or not

Separate ways kinda softens me to Ada for a bit, knowing that while she is using Leon she has to balance it out with Wesker. So many times through the game she saves Leon; the bell, the village El Gigabte, the vaccine, the bomb delay, the jetride, the missile…without Ada’s interference, Leon’s chances would have been close to none.
Especially the bombs. Ada knew Wesker would have killed her if she backed out or pushed too far, yet intentionally sabotaged the bombs anyway just so Leon and Ashley has a escape route.

@@evan9811 perhaps. Leon does question her throughout RE4 and the ending seemed to solidify Leon’s impression of her.
Keep in mind Leon’s unaware of how Ada helped him through the game. All he is aware of is that she was lurking around the Village and Castle and led him to the Island, but ultimately left him to his own devices and in the end, took the amber from Leon, exactly same in Raccoon city. Which is why he told Ada they’re going their Separate Ways, basically wishing her farewell; Ada hadn’t answered his question of whether she had changed, and to him, Ada’s final act was his answer.

If you have played the Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, you would've know that the one fell, or in any way supposed to dead, are actually some clone of Ada (which i forgot her origin is)
And i you have played Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, you would also know that the actual, real Ada, who proven to be still alive after Raccoon City and now are here in Resident Evil IV, are actually "barely" escape from Raccoon City, wounded even.

If I were in Leon's place, I would prefer Claire Redfield or Ashley Graham. While they both love each other mutually, initially it was pretty messed up how Leon was just used by Ada. Sure no he knows better than think she won’t be unpredictable and choose the option that serves her interest best.
She is a morally grey character with more clear aspects through her bond with Leon. Though, with Whesker she can be pulled towards the other side if Leon’s not there to be the moral compass.
