This was my first Thursday solve without using autocheck! Many thanks to your daily videos, Ive learned alot about how to approach the puzzles from you
Me and my brother attempted the crossword and came to your video for hints when we got stuck (over halfway through!). The rebus function really messed us up, we had figured out the terminal/velocity and taylors/version but couldn't figure out how they shared letters! Good job.
I got the TV thing early from the album clue so that helped alot. But could not quite complete without using check puzzle a few times. So many unfamiliar words especially in southwest corner.
Terminal Velocity is actually slightly different than what you said. When things fall they are effected by air drag, the force of which increases as your fall speed increases. At a certain speed, which is different for different objects, the force of drag will become equal to the force of gravity which will cause an equilibrium and you will no longer accelerate essentially causing you to remain at that particular speed. We call that speed terminal velocity.
Thanks for pointing out the diagonally symmetrical nature of the puzzle and how it pertains to the themed answers. I didn't really clock that while solving myself.
Coco Gauff is an American tennis player and has reached as far as women's world No 2 in singles ( also No1 in doubles) She won the US Open in 2023 and is still only 20 !
Taylor's Version = she changed record labels and wanted to buy her old catalog, the record company played hardball and then sold the rights to one of her enemies. But she still had the right to re-record those old albums, so she did that and pushed all her fans to those versions, which were sort of like deluxe editions with extended mixes and unreleased songs. The Swifties knew the whole story and happily went along, making the original catalog close to worthless.
I know you're better at crosswords than me, and I know if you weren't narrating them you'd almost certainly go a lot faster; be that as it may, I still always feel a little thrill whenever I manage to solve a puzzle faster than you, as today (18:24).

I got the revealer, taylors version and tunnel vision pretty quickly but i had steel pan for a long time and couldn’t find terminal velocity 😅
Extremely clever. 👍🏻
Well solved!

Also, because she is likely to come up in future puzzles her last name is pronounced “Goff”

This Thursday puzzle completely flummoxed me! I had to toss it aside after getting fewer than 1/4 of the clues! :,(
WTA = Women’s Tennis Association

Ohfer ten = 0/10, shorthand signaling a goose egg in a statline.
After 10 minutes with only 5 words, I opted to discontinue my efforts. (Quit 😂).
