Good childhood memories. Grandma used to have 1 of these it lasted for years and years. She got a newer one the same but didn't last long so went back to the old one and she replaced it with a Henry in 2012
My Neighbor used one of these back in 2001. (Dark blue coloured) He had a 300m2 house with carpets wall to wall plus persian rugs on top of it and 4 children:) this vacuum was a beast, it survived every day constant usage. They are a bit Underestimated I think !
My favourite video. I would love to add this vacuum cleaner to my collection. Thank you so much for all your amazing videos. I’m growing up with them and also learning english by watching your channel
I ve got my own collection of vacuum cleaners myself, but I dont have a UA-cam channel, and I'm only nine yrs old. I watch you a lot. Xxxxxxxx !👍 P.s this is on my mums devise... ☺
Worth £20, they cannot con you Roger , new tut tut 😳 , some naughty eBay sellers try it on 🙈 glad you’ve challenged it. I had an Hitachi years ago late 90s similar to this one it was purple with gold writing and had same filter/cage thingy and box. The motor sounds fairly normal from what I remember.
This is in much better condition, but I've got one of these too and a couple of the earlier round models, nice lightweight little vacuums, but a pain to clean the filter 😄
There is indeed a near-identical CV590 model with a 1000 watt motor in the 1990 Argos catalogue. £64.95 with a two-year warranty - right in the middle of the range, and the only bagless cylinder.
I wonder if there was a more deluxe version of this with a plastic tool box onto which one could sit the canister main unit for storage. Most of the Japanese manufacturers at the time offered that neat storage feature. One hint that this box may have been offered is the three piece wand which breaks down into three small tubes that can easily fit into the tool box.
Yes, there were versions with a tool box that the cleaner sat on. I have the small Stowaway model with that feature and I remember seeing larger Hitachi cleaners with the tool box.
Quite an interesting one! It seems like a larger dust buster, in the form of a canister. It's a shame that it's not brand new, but looks a bit shiny still!
I know im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a way to get back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost my password. I would love any tips you can offer me.
@Jace Garrett Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
brilliant little vacuum cleaner.. mine 23 yrs old powerful motor unfortunately the hard plastic handle has snapped and l have it stuck back with masking tape. no spare parts shops that l know im stuck and sad lt has loads of life left in it!!!!
Of course he wasn't! In the early years, being the 19teens, and 20's and into the 30's and 40's 98% of Vacuum Cleaners did not use a paper bag! Just a cloth shakeout bag that had to be emptied. It really was untill the 50's that a disposable paper bag was an option!
Unfortunately I have had this problem MANY times with Muggles (what call people whom are not collectors)! It is almost always with a canister like this that someone has stored in the box! They don't think about it. They just think beacuse it is 20-50 years old, and it's the nicest looking old vacuum they have ever seen (as low as the number of times seen may be!) It MUST be new, otherwise of it were used. It would surely be ruined. It's a mindset.
Hi mate u ok mate I hop u are ok mate u do a relly good job on UA-cam keep up there good work on UA-cam keep up there good work on UA-cam hove a good day mate form Greg Bouchard hove a good day mate
Daisy probably gets lots of love every day by Rodger. But the only time not is during Rodger's work, and doing videos because he's with her every other part of the days (I'd assume). 👍

This brings back memories. We had one of those in the 90s, it was a great cleaner, and lasted a long time, ours was the bagless model.

Daisy is a neat doggie. She just wants some people love.

It's like a giant dust buster with a cord and hose, the colour is as well. Interesting machine.
I noticed like the other Hitachi canister cleaner you had, this one has provisions for a power nozzle as well.
Nice. Fairly compact for storing away. Well worth £20.00 I would think.
I love you’re videos they are amazing
I had one cleaning the car unfortunately it got broken, I love this because it's very powerful, at this time I miss having the usage.

I hope James Dyson would realize that his company was not the first one to create a bag less vacuum cleaner.

Where do you keep your vacuum cleaners once you’ve used them?
Hey man! Do you know when these were released? I remember having these
Maybe there is better model with filter shaking system, that's why there is that point inside
It appears to be missing some of the filters
Nice
It's a bit like a bigger cv7405. Same design features.
I need dust bag only it is available??
This is a bagless machine.
But i thought you report sellers on Ebay? Since their description is dishonest?
I contact the seller first and only report to ebay if they ignore my messages.
