People rather hold things against you that they built in their own head about you rather than work on communicating rationally and offering resolutions and resolves. It's honestly a problem they deal with within themselves it is affecting more relationships than you know.
Your voice is very calming and easy to listen to. My word for this year is intent. Working on showing up everywhere with purpose and authenticity
I had to learn to let a friendship die in 2023. It was a new budding friendship which was already foreign to me. We had a little disagreement and apologized to each other later on about it. But it seemed to come up “jokingly” in every meeting and conversation we had after that to the point where I was like clearly this will never be the same so let’s just end this. It’s not as easy as we make it seem but learning what to hold on to and what to let go of (I have this tatted on me 😁) is always a tough decision… as always: love your not a podcasts ❤

Transformation is my word for 2024!
Happy New Year 🎉🎉 my word for 2024 is maturity (physically,mentally, emotionally). I’ll b 25 this year and I am seeing the world for what it is. Everything will not go my way and I have to accept it. Praying for a blessed and prosperous new year ❤.
A few things I’ve realized have helped me ground in this human experience are 1. Creating, 2. Finding modalities to self integrate 3. Being in Nature & 4. Intentionally expressing gratitude. Daily.
1. We are made in Gods image and one power we as God-like beings have been given is the gift of creation. Tapping into your big body artistic bag reminds me of that divine power. Art is interesting because you may go into a project with a set idea and come out of it with an entirely different manifestation of that original idea. The process Is the surrender. Creating allows you to remember who you are. Both the divine and the flesh.
2. Modalities for self integration for me have looked like Dance. Have looked like Calisthenics. Have looked like heavy lifting. Anything that reminds me of the gift of movement really allows me to let go of energies not meant to be held onto in my body. Reminds me that to breathe and to move with that breathe is to be blessed. Especially when idk wtf be going on down here for real.
3. When you think about it, Natures been here for hundreds of years before the inception of humanity. If theres anyone equipped to teach, is it the Trees, the Earth, the flowers, the mountains. We just have to remember what it felt like to turn a keen ear. To listen.
4. Gratitude. I am nothing without it. It’s anchors me. We’ve been given so so much and staying reminded of that helps you remain rooted whilst on our journey higher& further.
Incorporating these things in my weekly routine has done a tremendous number on my mental. Hopefully at least one will do the same for you ❤!
I definitely felt seen tuning into this one. Contrastingly, I’ve been the silent friend that gets hurt by my own narrative, too. I feel as though my word of the year should be “no” but that sounds a bit cynical. I just really struggle knowing when and how to say it. I’ll have to keep thinking of a good word. Sustainable routines are definitely in this year…that and mindfulness.
