I'm a little surprised that most of the elders seemed to actually like this game, honestly. Especially the "Zombie Win" gentleman. I wonder how well they'd enjoy the rest of the game, though. Or if the lady in black's heartstrings could handle anything more.
Doomrider Well, I hate to sound judgey, or whatever, but the intro doesn't require much actual gaming ability, so you remove most of their 'frustration' right off the bat. Add in a sad story, and the slight immersion of the little bit you do have to do, and the quality of the story itself, and you have quite a good formula. At least for the intro.
Yeah, I can see that. There were a couple who were getting frustrated by the simple sequences that only needed you to move your character fast enough to beat a hidden timer.
Doomrider You and me both. I mean they had NO idea how to work the controls at all (speaking as one who hasn't even played the game, neither do I) but for elders to actually commend a game and it's story? Shocking.
Jesse Joiner Maybe they can react to the Teens playing it after they've completed it. The clips of the teens playing could perhaps be edited down to mostly major plot points and cut scenes.

Yep. Give them some basic environment to learn how to pan and move, and then start the game. There's no interest in watching people not know how to use the controllers. The interest is their response to the game, not the console.

But imagine how long it would take them to finish the whole game. They didn’t realize they were controlling the characters and when they finally did their movements were horrible. They would never survive any combat or simple platforming in this game to come anywhere close to the end.

YAS albeit it is a dark game, I still love it. I think if they had the chance to see the ending, or just even halfway through, they'd see there is light in the game, but it's hard to find.

Dandari2000 They actually did one of the worst fighting games. Ever heard of "Way of the Warrior"? It was released in 1994 by Naughty Dog. They were so broke that they couldn't even affoard a blue screen so they used a yellow wall inside one of the designers room to make the characters, all the characters were people of Naughty Dog and even the coustumes were made from stuff they found in the house, it's hilarious that these people who made "The Last of Us" had started like this
