- दार्जिलिंग संसदीय सीट अपनी खूबसूरती के लिए विख्यात है...दार्जिलिंग में बड़ी संख्या में अप्रवासी मजदूर रहते हैं. यहां के लोगों की बोलचाल की भाषा नेपाली है. पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार ने दार्जिलिंग में नेपाली भाषा को मान्यता भी दी है. यहां बड़ी संख्या में गोरखा रहते हैं और उनका राजनीकि प्रभाव है. चुनावी इतिहास बताता है कि गोरखा समुदाय के लोग जिसे भी समर्थन करते हैं, उस पार्टी की जीत होती है. बीजेपी पिछले चुनाव गोरखा समुदाय की मदद से जीतती रही है. दार्जिलिंग संसदीय क्षेत्र में राजनीति को लेकर एक अलग तरह की संवेदना दिखती है.
Darjeeling parliamentary seat is famous for its beauty...A large number of immigrant laborers live in Darjeeling. The spoken language of the people here is Nepali. The West Bengal government has also recognized the Nepali language in Darjeeling. A large number of Gorkhas live here and have political influence. Electoral history shows that whichever party the people of Gorkha community support, that party wins. BJP has been winning the last elections with the help of Gorkha community. A different kind of sensitivity towards politics is visible in Darjeeling parliamentary constituency.

The Anchor is totally ignorant of DARJEELING. We the Gorkhas of Darjeeling are not Migrants (प्रभासी). We came with our Land to be merged with INDIA. Secondly, Nepali or Gorkhali, language is incorporated in the 8th Schedule of the Indian Constitution as an official Language of India. Third, our aspirations for Gorkhaland within the Constitution of India is totally Justified. Barrister Ari Bahadur Gurung, hailed from Darjeeling District and was the Member of the Constituent Assembly when the Constitution of India was framed and adopted. After his demise, He was succeeded by Barrister Dambar Singh Gurung also hailing from the district. So how come every Tom, Dick and Harry label us as Migrants? Our History is being distorted for Political means. Jai Gorkha, Jai Gorkhaland, Jai BHARAT.
BJP will win though margin may decline this time.Because of some independent candidates indirect supporters of TMC.
