The black clover movie is real!!!
It came out on Netflix
Part of me wanted this movie to be the series actual finale. The cast was at their peak. They were able to immediately react to a crisis and call their secret weapon Mereoleona.
I really liked how smart, levelheaded and fast Noelle adapted to the situation. Even though being nerfed she made the most of everything she’s learned. The bulls perks were exclusive to her and her alone.
The usage of Yuno was genuines. He finally accepted the help of others in battle than Asta. Two spirit hosts and two of the strongest captains. He even made a tactical retreat and distracted Asta from mourning.
After an epic clash of bitterness vs stubbornness, all that Asta gave Conrad was peace.
Not saying Lucius is trash but Conrad really got under everyone’s skin.
Similar to Superman, his wife was killed and he was about to become a tyrant.
To the cast Lucius appears like a monster, an accumulation of immense magic power.
Not only did Conrad physically assault Noelle, Finral, and Nero. He also stole her spells and called out on how “unrefined” her magic was. Noelle has always been very vulnerable to this kind of harassment.
In Lucius ideal world, Asta is nothing but a flaw that needs to perish.
In Conrad’s ideal world, Asta is more welcome than anyone.
Good point and well put but I thought to clarify on that little superman remark.
“Similar to Superman” ❌
“Similar to Injustice Superman” ✅
I’m only being a picky B#ch about it because he’s the only superman to go in the direction when them cards were delt, unlike Kingdom Come Superman who suffered but didn’t do any of that tyrannical sh#t.
The injustice comic line did a real disservice to superman, where if he was put in that situation he would never go down the rout that injustice did.
Yuki Tabata literally wrote the story for sword of the wizard king, how would it not be canon 😭
well to be fair for such a major event it hasnt been talked about in the manga after it had taken place.
@@brak2300 bro did NOT watch the video.,
ITS CANNON CAUSE ITS GOATED
This movie had great villains! Something that usually not a thing in the first anime movies.
Also broku what are your thoughts on bnha ending in 5 chapters?
15:54 even of they weren't extinct, squads have been shown to change names like when rill took over julius's squad
I hope Black clover gets a monthly schedule like AoT had. That way your channel would do better
You're right bro, I hope that tabata sensei health gets better so he can go montly I really don't want black clover to end on quartly schedule
@@sofyanjamal4980 Black clover is like having expensive dinner. You know, something you have very rarely
@Grayson-Winchester I really hope the manga switch to monthly release schedule, I can't take this any longer
@@Grayson-Winchester I would love monthly as long as it worked for Tabata.
And thanks for the Super Thanks!
Waiting for this video since last week, thanks for being the one to clear this misunderstanding
A cool theory i saw someone bring up is an explanation for why Julius didn't use his aging spell to help fight against Conrad, and that's that Lucius wanted to get rid of the Imperial Sword and the former Wizard Kings, so he influenced Julius to not do it.
Not really how Lucius messing with Julius works, iirc, but still, it's a cool theory!
Lucius is actually quite likely to have done that. His influence is why William and Yami were made magic knights and why Julius was so interested.
Lucius has had an influence over Julius the entire series, so it’s not hard to believe he wanted one more potential obstacle out of his way. You saw how he tried to get rid of Asta and Yuno because they’re not supposed to be involved in this story. They’re irregularities.
Nice video broku keep up the good content, man.
@@MiguelTheAnomaly85 thanks 🙏
editing looking clean
@@nathan38938 thanks!
5:05 Can you tell me where I can see this full video? From the Tabata interview, what did you use as an example.
Common Broku W, we love to see it. Also, where dod you find the interview with the director ooi? I gotta peep that myself.
The worst thing is that volume 23.5 post movie connects with the manga and also makes it clear that there are 3 more months of training left, it also shows how Asta learned to use the katana and how he learned that movement he does with the katana towards liebe in his fight, It would also explain that Liebe could give him more power.
@@Azaerus I don’t think it makes it so it’s 3 months before spade, I address that in video
@@Br0kuyes
@@Br0ku Sorry if the translator has problems xD.
The point is that, he tells you how Asta learned and improved his sword style and thanks to this the gap of how he learned to make all those sword movements mainly from the katana is filled in since Sukehiro showed them to him in their fight.
@@Azaerus I’m not disputing that💪🏻
@@Br0ku💪 10:28 ok.
Finally 😁. Awesome video. I'm saying this without completing the video
Hey Broku! Great video! Quick questions Do you think Curse magic can effect Devils in Black Clover, if there was another character was born with no specific Magic Attribute like Ladros from the Diamond Kingdom would they still be able to get a Grimoire and could they still learn other magics like Curse Magic, Trap magic, Mana Method etc...?
Babe wake up broku posted a new video
Been here since like 5k subs!
The only inconsistency from this movie I can think about is Yami calling Asta by Asta at the end when he brought over Julius but thats about it
on the Nacht point, we see in the manga that he's kept an eye on the Bulls via Shadow's Second Sight. Not hard to use that for why he cane back to Clover to help
New broku vid!! Let's go!!
Broku question, since saint stage has the ability to purify negative mana can saint stage Noelle m bypass infinity?
This situation is similar to the First bleach movie's canon debate (even tho its referenced in the manga)
Hey would you make a video on dark magic exactly.Cause it's way too confusing. And please state ways it could possibly be used, Yami just didn't use.
I definitely consider it canon. I mean it doesn't even hurt the story.
It would prove that asta clothing as bonus in the movie to have that par of clothing in the canon series after the timeskip making it know that his clothing in the move shows the movie cannon and is both like the anime and mange after the 6 month training arc 3:43
To be fair he was also drugged kidnapped and almost executed by citizens after some of these charges
Its still kinda hard to believe bc of nacht but the way you but the way you put it it kinda make sense but still kinda hard to
Even if people thought it wasn't canon I'd still consider it the true end to the series. Asta gets done so dirty after the events of this movie.
I literally wouldn’t mind Asta pulling out the sword or it have been taken but due to Lucius someone gets the idea to give it to Asta and it becomes imbued in Anti Magic and allows Asta to use a nerfed version of its ability
Magic knight captains vs espada ???
Great video! The movie was always canon.
Yes, it is canon, it takes place between the Joint Training Arc, and the Spade Kingdom Arc, during the six month time skip
These are the same people who would tell you.Dragon ball z battle of gods and DBZ resurrection of f is cannon because Akira Toriyama Supervise the movies.
If the movies can fit in the main continuity without there being any problems like the inu-yasha movies I don't see the problem.
But on another note, are you gonna do reviews for the black clover Manga about yami when he was young
Wasnt asta using the form he got after yami got taken by the triad? wouldnt that take away its canonicity? since the moviue his giving him that form AND has Yami still not taken by the triad yet? I'm not super tapped w BC so i could be mistaking the form but idk
@@uhhshae I explained why this doesn’t take from its canonicity in the video.
ahhh so devil arm asta isn't in the movie? thast what i was talking about
@@uhhshae devil arm Asta is in the movie. Why does that take away from its canonicity ? I explained why it doesn’t in the video. Just let me know and I can try and explain further
@@Br0ku I’m typing as I’m watching (which is dumb because I can get my answers in the video if I just wait lol)
But at 3:28 you said if we were to take the Netflix articles word then we should expect to see devil arm asta, and we did. So I was thinking since devil arm asta happened after/when Yami was taken, and he’s not taken in the movie, that it wasn’t cannon. But I’m guessing I’m missing or not understanding something about that part of the vid
But like I said I’ve only watched/read BC once so I could just have my timelines and stuff wrong and be calling the wrong form Devil arm
@@uhhshae I explained later Devil Arm Asta as in he has a permanent devil arm. Since he loses the devil arm in the movie it doesn’t break canon.
I had already believed that it was canon even without all that evidence when I had came to the conclusion on my own that it took place not too long before the end if the timeskip.
My only problem with the movie is the pipe scene when Asta is fighting Conrad...it doesn't look like they are faster than light (as it should be).
Well , to be honest with you , depicting high speeds in anime adaptations never seem to be consistent
In most anime character that are light speed are shown like they move at hypersonic speed so it's not superising
I wonder how much the story would have changed if the Imperial Sword hadn't been destroyed at the end of the film as it is probably one of the most powerful weapons in the series
It doesn't really matter if its cannon or not cause manga asta is wayyyyyy stronger than movie asta
Imagine manga Asta with the Imperial Sword, that would be _wild_
One of the main reasons some fans believe the BC movie is not canon to the story since whatever supposed to happen in the last saga already happened with the WK movie. Also, Conrad is a character that fans want Lucius to be but sadly the final villain isn't at all. Lucius doesn't have over 10 different spells, not parallel towards Asta and something tells me he can't bring people back from the dead like Conrad already done. Remember Morris says only Lucius could bring people back to life, yet Mereoleona did it before he did. I bet 100% Acier, Morgen and Heath didn't die this whole time and they were inside of Lucius time spheres being healed by time magic.
I understand many BC fans favored Lucius a lot, but it just feels odd that he hasn't bring more paladins before Asta shows up and the Lucius clones only uses time, gravity and soul magic. Also, we seen souls of elves and wizard kings possessing other bodies yet where are the devil souls at. Something feels sus about this.
I feel like some of the points you bring up aren't definitive enough to say that the movie is canon. Though i think everyone is valid in thinking the movie is or isn't canon but until Tabata himself says it's canon or it's referenced in the manga i'm gonna take it as a One Piece Strong World/Film Red situation where the characters/concepts are canon but the events aren't canon
@@Jojo10788 Tabata literally had them change the setting of the film because they wanted the movie to be based in the manga. They don’t use the word “canon” in Japan. Its not 100% proof but it’s beyond reasonable doubt
@@Br0ku i could have missed it but i don't remember anything saying the movie was based in the manga in your video. even if they don't have a set word for it there's got to be some sort of distinction between events that happen in a story and ones that don't, right?
and it's not just that it isn't 100% proof, i feel like some of the arguments are a bit shaky like
6:05 - i feel like the land of the sun being shown in the manga first is more impactful than it being shown in a movie first.
7:44 - i think saying the movie is canon because princia appears in the anime is like saying strong world is canon because shiki is mentioned in the manga.
8:36 / 11:10 - i don't think a form of magic and a couple side characters are specific enough to say that it's canon
12:43 - if conrad did come back as a paladin it would only prove that he himself (and in turn mostlikely princia, jester, and edward) was canon, it wouldn't fully prove the movie is canon unless when someone sees him they think back to the events of the movie
13:05 - true it doesn't need to be in the manga to be canon but being referenced in the manga is undeniable proof that it's canon
sorry for the long comment
@@Jojo10788 1. That wasn’t the reason for changing it so it doesn’t matter.
2. Don’t know the reference.
3. It’s evidence.
4. That logically doesn’t make sense to assume only the character is canon and not the movie.
You are basically taking each point and appealing to possibility. It’s not just one points it’s the combination that makes it canon.
@@Br0ku
1. it kinda does matter cause you said "if the movie was not canon then why not just do the movie in the land of the sun".
2. (minor spoilers) tldr in one piece shiki is a character that was name dropped at one point in the manga then almost a year later he was featured in a movie, so shiki is a canon character but the movie events aren't.
3. right, evidence that i don't think is strong enough.
4. i was just taking my knowledge of other anime movies so i came to the same conclusion with black clover, i don't see how it's illogical.
i'm addressing them as points because that's how they are presented in the video and it's easier to address them one by one. what do you mean i'm appealing to possibility?
I say it was pretty awesome.
Ontop of that u literally have to finish ep170 before watching the movie or u get spoiled about lieges identity

Asta didn’t have the katana and wasn’t cool with the devil until chapters 259 and 269. The movie takes place before 229
