Hello from the Midwest US! I love coming home from church on Sunday mornings and having one of these videos to watch! And it's the perfect season for a good spooky tale. Thank you, Robin and Ross!
Oh Robin!!! What a gift for an autumn day!!! I was so enthralled, my hands were holding the needle, but I wasn't quilting! Thank you (and Ross!) for a wonderful, spooky interlude. (I'm saving this video for Christmas as well!!!) Grateful to both of you. Hugs from Canada.
Not since reading Dickens' Ghost Stories a few years ago, have I been so entertained! I find that Victorian mystery stories are much less disturbing to my 20th-century mind, than contemporary ones! Perhaps, too, it's because, as an American, I feel far removed from any danger. Your voice is perfect for reading these tales aloud!
Great tale, Robin! You are such a wonderful narrator. I could see every scene in my mind's eye. My biggest mistake? Listening to this right before bedtime! That was so scary and horrifying! But can you explain what the cold and clammy thing was that kept hitting the doctor and his friend in the face? I simply could not figure that part out. Thank you for this spooky tale! 👻💀
Hello from Williamsburg, Virginia. Thank you for the story, I enjoyed it very much. Hopefully you might take it upon yourself to tell us stories again sometime.
Wonderfully enjoyable as always! Just finished my autumn and Halloween decorating outside, and came in to find a marvelous visit with you waiting for me. Lucky me! Happy autumn wishes to all from Essex, Connecticut❤
My cottage is not in the Cotswolds but in East Sussex. I walk my dogs in the grounds of Bodiam Castle. I was late today and it was getting dark when we finished our walk, having listened to your story earlier in the day I was glad to get home and leave the misty and eerie atmosphere of Bodiam behind. 5 mins after getting home we had a power cut🤣🤣 I admit I was a little discombobulated.
This story is written in the first person point of view. It is meant to sound as if the person is talking directly to you and telling you about what happened from their point of view. The gentleman that we can hear is reading it to us, but he isn’t the doctor. Did I make that confusing enough? Lol
Such an underrated channel!
5 star rating for our delightful narrator! 👏👏👏👏👏

Ah, the days when one could ride home entirely too fast, dump the wet and steaming horse on the stablehand, and go off to bed 🙂 Great read, thanks.

Is he really a doctor or is this part of the story tellers persona?
