The story is true, but Sarah died not after running away barefoot but simply from getting a fever. The Crown Prince did send flowers to het grave for as long as he lived.
@EslstNurLiebe I've been reeding much about the Crown Prince since I do have a huge interest to the family of Habsburg, but I've never knew about the love affair he had with Sarah that would be true. Is it or it's just based on fantasy? Do you know anything about it? I'd be happy to have a response of you! Thank you very much!
Sorry for my late reply... I have read a few biographies on Rudolf, and his parents for that matter, and from what I've read that was not a work of fiction but based upon fact. At the moment I can't get into detail as it's rather late but feel free to PM me :)
