Nothing better than a good set of headers keep spending all your money you will be break-in the 8sec before long Bro. Love the channel. From down Under
I don't believe I removed the cat-back. Pretty sure we just disconnected the X pipe and did the install. It's been a long time since this video was made. I don't remember all of the details. Pretty straight forward deal. Get yourself a 12" 10mm break neck wrench, it will help a great deal👍
The touring with resonators should be very tame once the car warms up though. AWE is hands down the best cat back system out there. I love their 180 technology!
I appreciate it! So very many many people won't even change the plugs on their late model Hemi. It's insane to me. Simply search Hellcat or Challenger and headers. You will see 50 people talking about just got my "x" installed. Picked it up this afternoon. Challenger peeps got all da cash! I wanted to see fitment, clearance issues? Etc.
No fitment issues at all with these. American Racing Headers are great quality. The only issue was removing the passenger factory O2 sensor. It was cross-threaded from the manufacturer and broke when it came out. Replacement was about $150. A friend of mine helped me with the install, so it went pretty quick. Got it done in a day. It shakes the house when I start it up now!!! 😎
@@KelleysGarageOfficial that goes for any Mopar? Thought you “Needed” a Tune is what everyone makes it seems or your car would mess up I Currently Have a Corsa Extreme On My Scatpack and Was Going Corsa LT Headers Or ARH but idk if i needed a tune and how quickly do i need to get one after installation before something messes up if so
A tune is not required with LTH, however it is recommended to update the calibration when making any changes to the car. I don't believe you'll notice much of a hp gain with no tune update. You will definitely hear a difference in exhaust pitch though.@@duhrell
How do you like the headers? In hindsight would have you got them ceramic coated? I’m waiting on a new 426 for my hellcat and on the fence if I should do headers now or later. Not dropping the cradle, it’s going in through the hood.
I’m sure my engine builder knew what he was talking about. His point of view, if I recall correctly, was more or less you obviously get a few more hp with long tuned but ease of install, ground clearance and if the letter people go nuts I could run high flow cats
What muffler set up are you running ? Can you describe your set up from the headers back? Did you get catless headers? Looking at inch and 7/8ths or 2 inch primaries for me REWB. Rest of my exhaust is stock right now. Rather than mess around with anything figure jump straight to these bad ass headers
@@davidstevens8300 the tires that are on my factory wheels are Nitto NT05R. I've had many different style tires on the car and none (including these) hook on the street. I have to be doing about 70-80mph to really lean on it.
Cool car but I really doesn’t make since to have 1 minute of footage with the car actually running with the new headers and 4 minute of talking. Would be nice to listen to see more footage of it driving

Did you have to drop the rest of the catback? If not, any tricks to get it all on there with out too much trouble?

Very Nice! Keep up the great content Mr. Kelley!
Sounds pretty awesome
My AWE touring with resonators is too loud with 2” headers when it’s cold. That shit rattles the windows when cold for sure. 🤣

I’m quite happy with my American racing longtubes, I can’t wait to put them on just need a tuner
You can install headers on a1 car without making any changes to the calibration. However, once you tune for them you should see a gain of about 40whp.

Did you have to remove the motor mounts to install?
Motor mounts stayed intact. Didn't have to remove anything for install.
Are you still running the American racing headers and if so how are they
Yes they're still on the car. One of the best sound pitch when it comes to headers imo

I would buy them again! Absolutely love the ARH
Bro ur doing a 426 and no headers ? Def get them at that point
I did go long tube arh. Although my engine builder said the arh shorties would work just fine.

Great vid. Where did you get the H pipe?
Thanks man. The H-pipe came in the ARH kit.
Thank you for the response
So you installed this without dropping the cradle or removing motor mounts ?
Yes
@@KelleysGarageOfficial very nice you ever take off the cat back and run straight turn downs ?

How long did they end up taking to install?
Not too long, about 5-6 hours with breaks and hanging out.
@@KelleysGarageOfficial Not bad at all especially on the ground. Lots of guys exaggerate the install time it seems and most even have a lift.
@@chris5408 funny thing is I have a lift we could've used. The install wasn't bad at all, guys like to bitch cause it gives them something to do🤣

Just now seeing your comment, sorry for the delay..
The current setup on my car is 2" ARH catless with an AWE touring (non resonated) cat back.

What tires are on here street tires? And do they hook 30-40 pulls?
ET Street R. Yes they are street tires. My last set we got about 50 low 9 second pulls😎
