Tomb Raider (2013) was a ground-up revival of an all-time classic franchise. In this reboot Lara Croft had to learn how to survive on her own after being shipwrecked on a dangerous island. Featuring all new gameplay systems, Tomb Raider was both a technical showpiece and a brand new vision for the series at the time, that then continued with Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

To answer the devs question about the movement and why sometimes you roll and sometimes you jump. It depends on the slope of the terrain. On up slopes jumping is the fastest. On down slopes rolling is the fastest. Just going off the X,Y plane traversal of the animations

as someone who has speedran this game before this was very fun to watch and anticipate the skips and there reactions. Also really cool to hear the dev's have technical explanations for things and talking about deving the game. Love these videos so much.

Dude is missing a few shots. Kinda refreshing to see, given how long the game is, it'd be impossible to perfect every section of it, especially with somewhat volatile enemy Ai to contend with.

The dev team should react to Conan's tomb raider review 🤣
For info, at some areas the rolls are because you cannot jump at those areas or if jumping you can initiate something you don't want to or like the dev mentioned the terrain can make it ineffective to jump.
There is some areas you will use push because the area limits your movements and then spamming pushing forward will be faster than walking. ^^
Ask them about the Error CE-34878-0 (PS4). The game crashes in the helicopter part and the file gets corrupted
Crash is unfortunately common but the file corruption should be rare

The first one is by far the best. More recent games aren’t bad (except for a few) but they’ve lost the magic entirely. They’re just action games with some puzzles added on top. The suspense just isn’t there.
2013 was dogshit as well, wtf are you smoking? Everything pre-2013 was better and Lara was a better character in every way
