I just came into possession of one of these for free because the suction was bad, but the steam attachment still worked. This is exactly the ticket to fix the suction and have a pretty nice little machine for the price of a new hose and a bit of research. Thank you so much for sharing this!
Thank you for your very specific instructions! I have a tendency to get flustered and your voice was calming. I wish you could walk me through troubleshooting my carpet cleaner (and all the other things i have in disrepair).
Thank you! My Shark NV450 has the exact same problem. I noticed it by chance but since it was three months over the warranty, the Shark folks wanted to charge $96 for front brush module. Basically, they want you to buy a new Shark. But, thanks to your video, I can get my Shark going again for $15!
Thank you so much for this video! And even though I broke 12 other parts and ended with an extra screw in the process I fixed the hose and now know why you said, "good luck." Too funny. I'll limp it along until the motor blows to keep it out of the landfill as long as possible.
This was an amazing video. I am a professional and have done this many times and you did everything perfect. I’m glad you fixed your shark for more years of vacuuming!
Thank you for a well done video with great pictures of everything as well as explanations!! I found one in someone's trash pile and will have it up and running as soon as parts get here!! These are great machines and mine are still going strong!! Well done!!
My lower hose is glued in place, I guess to seal it better or keep it from coming loose. No idea how to dissolve or break the glue bond. I must have bought this from a refurb shop years ago. Sigh.
HELP! Had mine for 8 yrs and still loving my Shark. The lower hose is the part that needs replacing but I don’t know how to get it off. Mine is a red hose, so there is no snap going on.
Went through the whole tera down only to find that the hose is glued in place. Couldnt get the hose out and get it cleaned up. Very frustrating. Buying a new vac over a 6 dollar part.

Thank you for this video now I don’t feel overwhelmed with having to replace the hose.
Thank you sir, it was helpful!!!
The top side of the house was glued on mine. So had to take the white upper portion off and release the glue around the hose before it unscrewed
Perfect instructions - thank you !
Great video. Really helped me. Thanks
