I firmly believe that Masterleaf is the truest example of a public servant the Kane's Wrath community has. Being grateful for that most of the combat is happening literally behind and away from you. Hell, maybe even go and see if Kane is hiring. I mean, Nod are crazy too, but they are not fly-mutants-across-battlefield crazy. And they have some sick looking green head engineers with a robotic hand in their midsts. It would be great to get to know each other and maybe even hang out and chill, you know what I am saying?

@@Bloodlyshiva depends on when they gave themselves to cybernetics though. Kane does disappear for long periods between the wars so they may only have been changed a year or so before this war starts
Sonic Shell Predators, maybe? MARV has them. I feel like the lack of artillery is a good balance for ZOCOM, but their armor outside of air is lacking severely
That only accounted for a small portion. If he had captured it and held it for the entire game he would've gotten 500+(29*60)*10 = 17900 credits, but he ended up 83,562 credits behind at the end. It was the tiberium harvesting that made the difference; at the 9-minute mark you can see that Senna had harvested an entire field worth of tiberium more than Leaf. Also, after the halfway point of the game Leaf completely neglected to harvest the blue tib.
@@lmabacus3489 But still, that one simple mistake made Leaf miss out on 17900 credits. That is more than enough to fuel an army and a couple of one clicks that could change the course of the game

10:30 WAT?! flying APCs can fire down and repair another too?!! ........................ *rubs eyes* .......... whenever i think i've seen it all.......... this game is nuts!
This is no where near the Masterleaf I remember, I wonder what happened. I get he's not taking most of these games seriously but even in the last tournaments he's been performing so poorly, in comparison to the guy who could confidently fight and win against Bikerushownz.
He's more about experimenting with different strategies these days, and barely using certain units/strategies that he considers to be too boring, like firehawks and multi MCVs. I imagine that if you're in that mindset then it can be difficult to transition back to more optimal strategies in tournament play.
I think Masterleaf would have won if he'd taken the Tib spike. There were a few moments in the game where just an extra unit or two would have made all the difference.
I wanna do the MRV mutant transport orca strads, I feel like he actually needed more of those lol. If he had like 6-8 of them he could probably almost instant delete any unit he chances on.
I think they're pretty comparable to an APC. What's really cool about mutants is they recover health in tiberium, and they don't lose squad members until the whole squad reaches 0 HP. So they can operate at 100% until they die. If Masterleaf committed more to the flying mutant harassment (and of course if he had an economy), it could have been real nasty.
Just did some testing, and mutant marauders in 1.02+ R16 are way better than a basic APC at anti-air (though 1.02+ only gives a 10% damage improvement, so they were very strong already). In fact, mutants have the same DPS against stationary aircraft as _AP Ammo APCs._ However, when the aircraft is in motion the mutants take longer to track the aircraft, so that they take 10 seconds to kill a circling firehawk versus 8 for AP Ammo APCs. But when they're garrisoned they don't need to physically turn to aim anymore, so they go back to being equal to AP Ammo APCs.
The Ox MRT strategy is pretty good, I think the biggest flaw with it is that Steel Talons doesn't have anything special to put in their MRTs (although I'm beginning to look at the Combat Engineers differently. No I'm serious), but if you got a mutant hovel around, that can make this strat work wonders. They are fast, highly mobile, can be geared up with various different weapons and can self-repair, much like the Humvees and Ambulances from C&C Generals, and they can adapt to changing situations: if the enemy is going heavy on AA, the Ox transports can land so that the MRTs can take the AA out, if the enemy brings in specialized AT units, the MRTs can unload to let the passengers take them out, only to then load them up again and move out. There isn't an easy answer to it, because you need mixed forces to kill them, and they can always take off again and run away, to continue to poke at soft spots and hit you where your forces aren't.
@@NiiRubra Never even thought of using the transports in that way, mainly used orcas or hammerheads for that purpose. The idea of a agile, hard hitting, self repairing unit kinda changes the game, at least to me. Might make use of it in the future. Thanks for the input.
MRT+Mutants+Ox cost 1500, the same as a hammerhead (and only 1400 in 1.03). The Ox has the same armor and speed as a hammerhead, and has slightly better shroud clearing range (but mutants have worse attack range). Can't find any info on mutant dps, and of course hammerheads can get AP ammo (and ceramic armor if ZOCOM), but mutants do have the advantage of being cheaper and thus leveling up faster, as well as being anti-air. Probably the biggest issue is simply the hassle of sending each mutant team into the MRTs. Do Ox MRTs repair aircraft as well? I wonder if mixing some AP Ammo hammerheads into the mix can help with the damage output.
@@lmabacus3489 The MRTs notably repair the Ox craft carrying them _and_ other Ox craft nearby, so yeah, they could. They even repair buildings! As long as there is no urgency, you can park these by a building and let them do it for you, for free. Underrated little guys.
@@NiiRubra Oh yeah, I forgot :D I did just testing and it looks like basic hammerheads have about 25% more DPS than the mutants, and AP Ammo Hammerheads have 100% more DPS, so mixing them together seems like it could work.
They have the best aircraft out of all the factions if used properly. But since Zorcas and zone raiders in hammerheads don't have precise targeting against moving units, it requires good micro to get the best out of them, so it's not a faction for beginners.
It can still be a good faction, but lack of ground artillery and no railguns can be a big problem in ending the game. Zone Raiders are great, but expensive and don't really replace juggernauts. It's just a faction that requires a different play-style and has certain weaknesses that can be exploited.
Without artillery, ZOCOM has major issues dealing with base pushes. Looking at the last two Leaf ZOCOM games, he managed to stop one base push with an epic commando snipe, and barely held off Space on Mountain Pass despite a major eco advantage only because Space forgot to build Specters to complement his base push.
