Your new found perspective let's me know I'm not just totally sucking with my own progress.
True right. Cause game is no more easy like before. Dungeons are same , but arena is in total diff lvl. But if you cant progress in arena = no GH = hard to progress in other area to.

I think arena is now the #1 area of the game that you should focus on. It is easily the hardest area to progress. Even harder than spider IMHO. Coming from a level 75 playing for a year and now can’t break into Gold 1 for arbiter missions. Used to float G4 with no issues....
You would have been knocked out anyway, if you're unable to get back. G4 two months ago is S4 now. Everyones gear keeps getting stronger and theres only so many spots, so if you arent pushing constantly to improve, you fall behind. Its the professional sports effect. More and more good players have come in and the gap between the top players is smaller then its ever been.
Wish I had this video months ago when I started. Ive been playing longer than your FTP account, but you seem farther progressed then mine. But, with these types of videos I am revamping my champs and play style. Thank you so much for all this helpful information. Keep it up!

I learned the difference between an aura and a buff, so yeah. this was great, it consolidated a lot of the advice you gave in other videos and made it even more clear in some cases.
Just want to say this video is so affirming of everything I have been doing in the game. Literally done everything you've done but 1 step before you have seeing as I started a month and a bit before your ftp series. I keep recommending new players watch your videos but I reckon this is the one vid that I'll forever just link them to. Great job as always!
On a side note, Kreela revamped my arena team from speed, pants drop, nuke... into speedy, stun, tanky, ally attacks. I literally went 14 silver medals before kreela to now 190... and am actually keeping in silver 1 and 2... from my experience, the arena has definitely become more balanced since the rework and since the start of Sept it has really felt that way.

I'm really glad you mentioned going for the boss stages. I recently started my 4th account (I'm obviously a masochist), and the last day or two I've been spending a lot of my time on the Queen Eva stage. I've gotten some artifacts that are quite good for this early! And its only 1 energy more per run than doing stage 5 or 6 etc. I'll get High Khatun in 3 days and I'm excited to see if that's the push I need to go from bronze 4 to silver 1 to get my missions rolling again (currently using Spirithost, Diabolist, Warmaiden and Kael).
A nice trick for the beginning of the game and i haven't seen it mentioned anywhere is to always keep you hero inventory full so that whenever you do campaigns that drop heroes all of them go to the chest and you can pull them out when you need to use them as meat.

Great video as usual. The only two things you should have mentioned is that you can only buy 5 Ancients per month from the Market and to NEVER refresh the Market using Gems.
on early CB resistance works, when I do normal/hard with my UNM team, poisons from CB are resisted by few of my champs, my lanakis martyr jareg have over 90 resistance, and it works, rotos and draco have lower like 60-70 and CB poison lands on them.

Great beginner video explains things in a very easy to understand way that both makes sense and is useful. Also want to add that items are so much more powerful at lvl 16 so if you can level them up all the way do it. It costs soooo much silver I agree... but it really helps to strengthen the champion. An example in my own experience is in the arena I had a force affinity champion (Fu-Shan) at lvl 50 left against 2 lvl 60 spirit affinity champions and he destroyed them because they didn't max out their sets.
Nice. I made a few mistakes in the early game but so do most I guess. I unlocked 3 more slots in the Training Pit. I only now use it for duplicates of champs that can be fused. Not a complete waste of gems but definitely wouldn’t have done it if I’d known better.

I'm 10 days of playing ahead of you and since your last update I was almost on par on progression, but I've fallen behind massively, because I'm stuck hard in farming those silver medals. I'm tweaking the arena team again and again to try and succede, thus I can't really advance in dungeons.

This is a great video, Mr Hades. Even after playing only a short time of about 1 month, and watching loads of yours, Chosen and JGigs videos, this is still massively helpful. For example, I never realised Warmaiden was farmable in Deadlands. Mind you, I've played Stage 3 a million times and still she won't drop. Haha :D
About drop rate - maybe I'm superstitious, but I get more of her on stage 2 and 1. Booked mine thus far with 4 duplicates from appprox 50 runs, hoping to get that 100% land without actual books. Also the part about being useless without debuff is partly untrue, my 50 warmaiden aoe hits as hard as 60 fullbooked kael's in similar gear, possibly because she is more often the good affinity in the early stages. Don't hesitate to use her before getting accuracy banner and whatnots =)
Great content! Thnx. HH, one of my hurdles on mission progress is getting to bronze arena 3. Bronze arena 1 is tough on my guys, people got level50 or lvl60 kael singleman defense lol. bronze arena 2 is mostly going up against a team of 4guys level 60, most of the time with a pair of great pieces or 1 insane buffer debuffer. Wth lol
Clan boss you can resist but the only scenario it's worth thinking about is if you're ultra late game with a team that doesn't cleanse and it will target your only counter champion Skullcrusher who is bugged (his own passive cleansing the stun debuff won't grant him that turn's cooldown on his counterattack so he can't use it on the team, someone else has to cleanse him). If you have a Valkyrie or Martyr who are Spirit type plus the Skullcrusher you don't need to worry about it, or if you have a cleanser. For SC to resist even a bit over 300 res is not enough, I have 358 and it's usually not enough (due to the type disadvantage). Realistically it's closer to 400 to resist some of those stuns. So yeah, not worth really going for.
Resistance works on CB, at 226 I resist all debuffs on NM. Also it is way more important than speed to get in silver and stay there, I win half of my defenses and get attacked max 5 times a day due to the power from it. Plus no one almost builds resistance till silver, so you can debuff with 150 accuracy max.
HH has posted in content creator chat multiple times about those bogus missions. The retaliation, regen, and frost set missions are the worst offenders. Good "concepts", just poorly thought out direction.
At least move it off life and atk items. Like if you were supposed to be farming speed gear or lifesteal gear for atk % or life % gloves, armor, etc. You'd at least be getting usable gear while doing it.
@@chrisc7313 To be fair, these are the first two sets available to a player, and theyre the easiest sets energy and difficulty wise to task a new player to farm. On my second account I did these missions while farming food. And to be fair, most players will use Attack and HP sets until theyre able to get to lifesteal/speed, and typically for a while after as they transition. Attack also isnt a bad set early game, comparing it to Cruel is silly, since Cruel is much harder to come by. These quests at least give a new player the basic outline of "Damage gear on damage champs" "Tank gear on supports." Like honestly these missions are FINE, what they need to do is nerf the insane great Hall bonus progress missions. These missions bottleneck account progress for MONTHS in some cases, due to the difficulty of farming the sheer amounts of badges required. Personally, even "Knowing" that those missions were coming and prioritizing my great Hall towards those missions, I was stuck at the "Two Level 6 Great Hall bonuses" for over a month, thank goodness I didnt try to "split" my points in my tree at all, Id still be grinding to get past it. I feel like these missions are 1000x worse then any of the others complained about, because these missions make people QUIT. When they hit that mission and realize it'll be months before they can progress the next mission? Uninstalled. I understand why they want to keep the stepping stone progression in the game, it just needs to be reevaluated as the game evolves over time.
Thanks for the great videos on this! Question, I’m at 98 days in and have got to dragon 15 and don’t really have a lot lifesteal gear, is it best for me to just farm that or campaign? I have made it to speed in nightmare campaign. Im free to play and got some really good champions, Kael, stag knight, kreela witch arm, apothecary, mausoleum mage, coldheart, high khatun, pain keeper coffin smasher Just to mention my main ones. I’m just trying to figure out the best team for clan boss and where I should farm for the best gear at my level.
great vid thanks...im really finding it sooooo hard to reach sliver1 in arena..so i have a madame serris can i use her instead of war maiden...also i have my kael in life steal gear , should i swap them for crit rate , crit dam and then attack gear ....im running keal , madame, high khatun ,spirit host...should i drop spirit host and throw in another damage dealer, or drop her for apothecary ...many thanks
Hey man, quick question on 6 staring your first champion. Do you think it is worth keeping your main squad at 5 star and using everyone else regardless to 6 star ur main
I like Chosen, his champ ranking spreadsheet was my first big resource, as well as his calculator ... but your tier list has been my go to now. I like how you keep expanding on it.
With a one star champion if you give them 1 brew and three 1 star champions it will Max them out to level 10 perfectly. I find that to be the most efficient and do it once A-day 2 or 4 time. Your get free brews every day so it works out
Question: I didn't start with Kael (stupid me), but will he drop from a shard? I've seen folks with multiple Kaels on their teams. I'll keep rolling if there's a chance to get him.
I Musta got very lucky when I was new in the game I got Legendary martyr on my second blue ancient shard no event she’s level 60 6 star champion. Now.... I use her to level up champions on campaign.... i’m still looking for a banner and A amulet all her gear is maxed out to level 16 however I don’t think I have her geared exactly correctly... she does have speed on her boots and speed based glyphs Trying to get Valkyrie to level 60 she’s level 50 very good tank... on clan boss she used to be the last to die. Very good video many of my champ power levels went up with your advice as far as gear I’m sitting here waiting for my iPad to charge so I can play...My iPhone is horribly broken

4:05 even though shield gives more money I feel like farming boots with speed to gear up for faction crypt is better.

i've had 3 ancients in mkt in 24hrs

Resistance works on CB, at 226 I resist all debuffs on NM. Also it is way more important than speed to get in silver and stay there, I win half of my defenses and get attacked max 5 times a day due to the power from it. Plus no one almost builds resistance till silver, so you can debuff with 150 accuracy max.

Also HH PLEASE get them to change those constant " get atk % gloves, chest and boots" missions, challenges. its a waste of resources.

HH has posted in content creator chat multiple times about those bogus missions. The retaliation, regen, and frost set missions are the worst offenders. Good "concepts", just poorly thought out direction.
At least move it off life and atk items. Like if you were supposed to be farming speed gear or lifesteal gear for atk % or life % gloves, armor, etc. You'd at least be getting usable gear while doing it.
@@chrisc7313 To be fair, these are the first two sets available to a player, and theyre the easiest sets energy and difficulty wise to task a new player to farm. On my second account I did these missions while farming food.
And to be fair, most players will use Attack and HP sets until theyre able to get to lifesteal/speed, and typically for a while after as they transition. Attack also isnt a bad set early game, comparing it to Cruel is silly, since Cruel is much harder to come by.
These quests at least give a new player the basic outline of "Damage gear on damage champs" "Tank gear on supports."
Like honestly these missions are FINE, what they need to do is nerf the insane great Hall bonus progress missions. These missions bottleneck account progress for MONTHS in some cases, due to the difficulty of farming the sheer amounts of badges required. Personally, even "Knowing" that those missions were coming and prioritizing my great Hall towards those missions, I was stuck at the "Two Level 6 Great Hall bonuses" for over a month, thank goodness I didnt try to "split" my points in my tree at all, Id still be grinding to get past it. I feel like these missions are 1000x worse then any of the others complained about, because these missions make people QUIT. When they hit that mission and realize it'll be months before they can progress the next mission? Uninstalled.
I understand why they want to keep the stepping stone progression in the game, it just needs to be reevaluated as the game evolves over time.

Question, I’m at 98 days in and have got to dragon 15 and don’t really have a lot lifesteal gear, is it best for me to just farm that or campaign? I have made it to speed in nightmare campaign.
Im free to play and got some really good champions, Kael, stag knight, kreela witch arm, apothecary, mausoleum mage, coldheart, high khatun, pain keeper coffin smasher Just to mention my main ones.
I’m just trying to figure out the best team for clan boss and where I should farm for the best gear at my level.

great vid thanks...im really finding it sooooo hard to reach sliver1 in arena..so i have a madame serris can i use her instead of war maiden...also i have my kael in life steal gear , should i swap them for crit rate , crit dam and then attack gear ....im running keal , madame, high khatun ,spirit host...should i drop spirit host and throw in another damage dealer, or drop her for apothecary ...many thanks

With a one star champion if you give them 1 brew and three 1 star champions it will Max them out to level 10 perfectly. I find that to be the most efficient and do it once A-day 2 or 4 time. Your get free brews every day so it works out
Question: I didn't start with Kael (stupid me), but will he drop from a shard? I've seen folks with multiple Kaels on their teams. I'll keep rolling if there's a chance to get him.

I Musta got very lucky when I was new in the game I got Legendary martyr on my second blue ancient shard no event she’s level 60 6 star champion. Now.... I use her to level up champions on campaign.... i’m still looking for a banner and A amulet all her gear is maxed out to level 16 however I don’t think I have her geared exactly correctly... she does have speed on her boots and speed based glyphs
Trying to get Valkyrie to level 60 she’s level 50 very good tank... on clan boss she used to be the last to die.

If not for fusion and rubbish I fed some. Absolute best practice is keep 1 of each in case of future fusions but I dont have the patience
