To your point about the sun silk drops being broad spectrum, broad spectrum doesn’t mean that it has blue light protection. It just means there is some UVA protection.
Love love loooove you're video and finally seeing many people talking about sunscreens and sun protection. I just want to add that chemical sunscreens are really bad for the ocean coral reefs and when washing or swimming the oxybenzone in these products gets into our water and ocean killing them. You can Google this for more info
I reviewed the coola setting spray yesto as well, and I’m not crazy about it. I don’t hate it. Lol it’s too expensive plus it has that alcohol smell. The “organic alcohol “ is just confusing lol and I think it’s matte lol
yea I know it's supposed to be a matte finish, but I had some dewiness left behind. Maybe it's the hyaluronic acid in it? I'm guessing the organic alcohol is made from organic ingredients (i.e. organic farm?) I'll see if they can clarify!
I want a sunscreen in a powder compact. That would be AMAZING!!!! I hope Coola or Super Goop is listening. I just got the ColorScience in my BeautyFix box. Will start using it tomorrow. Have tried two other brush on sunscreens and both broke, so I hope this one holds up better.
Please please do not use the reef destroying sunscreen! We were just in the Caribbean and the damage is just so sad. Bare Republic makes a mineral mousse that does not go on white and spreads so much better than lotion. Chemicals have been found in urine, blood, and breast milk when tested. Also, the more you use the chemical, the more sensitive you become. People tend to develop rashes after consistent use in strong sun. Itchy rash is the usual issue.
My current favourite facial spf is La Roche Posay. Seems like it’s the same consistency of your Coola? I love the way it melds into my skin. No crazy smell. Plays well with my makeup, SPF 60 and no crazy scent. I absolutely love it 😍 but love seeing and hearing about new choices:) Thanks as always for your deep dive into the SPF world to help us navigate 🥰👍 Tammy Roy 🇨🇦
I have the drunk elephant umbra tint mineral sunscreen and it's one of my favs. It does take a while to set and dry down but gives a beautiful glow and wears pretty well under most foundations. Just blend it in really well!
I think you need more than 1/4 of a tsp to get the full SPF for your face. Im not trying to be a jerk but I have skin cancer on my upper body so I'm cautious. I've never tried the Coola brand. I'm anxious to if it doesn't pill up. Thanks for the info!
I love the Colorescience brush on sunblock. Also really like their Sunforgettable Face Shield SPF 50. Have you tried the Paulas Choice Paula's Choice RESIST Super-Light Wrinkle Defense? I'm loving that one tons too! So many great options out there.
Angie from Hit and Flashy recommends 1 teaspoon of sunscreen on the face. It’s a lot! I love the Dear Klairs sunscreen. We can’t buy any of these in Australia, but we can get some online from overseas sites. We have strict spf regulations here. 🥰
Cathy McCarthy Cathy McCarthy hey Cathy! She recommends a quarter in her most recent ua-cam.com/video/n_SUXhVa0is/v-deo.html There’s a crazy calculation to determine the amount required for the surface area of your skin (who has time for that?! ) but the average is 1/2 tsp for the face and neck. I guess that’s why you see most recommending at least 1/4 tsp for the face. I should of said at MINIMUM 😉
How did you know that yesterday I said I need to get a sunscreen that wont break me out & so my child doesnt get red cheeks/nose? Lol! Her sunscreen disappeared 😬 No excuse for myself though.. even living in FL my Mom never used anything other than 10 & even it was like a tanning oil 😳 My issue is I get like blackheads ALL over my cheeks with sunscreen so I've been hunting for one that wont do that 💜

My favourite SPF is the Murad city skin SPF 50! Good for daily use
The supergoop is a pretty amaziing powder spf! Would love it even more if it came in a refillable compact! Eco friendly + sun protection!
I won't watch sponsored videos

If you haven’t already, try EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46. It works really well under make up and great for sensitive skin. Amazon carries it.
Heather Elzinga it’s my favorite! One of the few I can put around/on my eyes
Congrats on the collaboration!! Love this video, it's saving me so much money!
thanks April :)
Yes,yes and yes! Dear Clairs sunscreen is the best for moisutizing, protecting and improving the aspect of my skin. No need for foundation.

Cools drops are still chemical though, no?
Amy Estrada they are...main synthetic sunscreen is homosalate, but they lack the ones that are banned
Thanks!

If you want to try more Korean sun products, look at Make P:Rem. Both the sun fluid and the sun gel are great.

I forgot to add I was a child when we lived in FL. I never burned though so I give her a pass for thinking that's all that mattered 😑😁
glad I could help! xo ps- the Klairs feels the least pore clogging to me
@@thehonestbeautyreview Thank you ♥️♥️
So which one is your top choice???
Hmm gotta go with Josie Maran...the Klairs is a close second
Thank you so much for replying back and for your recommendations!! I plan on purchasing the Josie Maran now during the sale 😘
No prob! If you have dry skin, it’s awesome- leaves a pretty glow 😘
Just curious where your strong accent is from
Maeve Brynn Philadelphia:)
Hi Lauren. Great video. I use several of the EltaMD sunscreens. They really work well with my dry skin. 💕
Jessica Collins thanks! I’m definitely going to check them out!
