It’s polarizing some people hate it but I can’t see why at all I instantly LOVED it. It’s something so different and well done like a masculine woody gardenia. If you like that one you may also like Carnal Flower they’re cut from a similar fabric.

I never smelled Nouveau Monde, but as soon as you mentioned barnyard vibe I thought of King Blue, which is a heavy oud amber fragrance I'd describe it in a similar fashion. And although it was hate at first sniff for me, I like it so much nowadays for the comforting feeling I get from it, I bought a full presentation.
I plan to review king blue for sure. That animalic smell is definitely an acquired taste I also get it from Oud attars which I now quite enjoy. I’m wondering if cumin will grow on me if I give it more chances it’s one of those masculine notes that I have struggled with in a similar fashion. I keep wearing overture man hoping I warm up to it because outside of that it’s perfect.

I started this channel to make reviews where I use layman terms and provide other sources of feedback because all the note listing went over my head. I also started because I felt UA-camrs do too many list they got a top 10 coming out daily. I just wanted to make solid well produced easy to follow reviews and periodically make lists that matter. "Copper" by comme des garcons is similar to Royal Oud, it's got a certain roughness to it whereas royal oud comes off as a very smooth blend. Give it a try!

I had 16C01 in the past. GIT is a huge favorite for me along with Amouage King Blue which I discovered after making this video. I like animalics done well.

Nothing I can really think of. I’ve heard of people having good experiences with Armaf Tres Nuit but I’ve never tried it. Davidoff Coolwater has a similar feel but isn’t nearly as immersive.
There’s some cheaper ones in there the Bentley Absolute is $30 and Moustache EDP is about the same. Bentley Absolute smells like a very unique cedar wood prominent scent it’s very similar to the discontinued Gucci Pour Homme I I consider both amazing. If you ever stumble on YSL Tuxedo on your outings it’s very similar to Moustache EDP and both are incredible.
It’s slightly feminine I just ignore that and I believe most people don’t think that it smells feminine when hit with it in the air. Just smells fantastic and is the strongest freshie I own. I got a 2022 but would also love a vintage if it’s any stronger it would be too much lol.
It’s clean to me I don’t know what old people smell like but I’ve never felt himalaya was particularly vintage in its profile. Bois Du Portugal, royal Oud, GIT are vintage but I like those too. I guess what other people associate with ‘old man’ and have a negative correlation mine is more positive because I think of those scents as classy and masculine. I don’t really care what other people think about me when I wear a fougere I enjoy them. If someone goes around sniffing people and judging them for smelling ‘old’ I care even less what they think 😅. Honestly quite pathetic and they’d prolly judge me for a thousand other reasons. I see no reason to care and if it bothers them then good lol they can be mad. However, I respect other people do care and fougeres aren’t for everyone. That being said, I don’t think many people would interpret Himalaya as a fougere. I like Himalaya because it’s clean, versatile, and very wearable while retaining depth. Himalaya is rumored to be Michael Jordan’s signature scent, I don’t know if that’s true, but I feel it’s a very sporty light profile so it wouldn’t surprise me.
