There doesn't need to be a "no eating or drinking" rule, there needs to be a "no making a mess" rule. A no eating rule isn't going to be equally enforced between a white yuppie drinking a latte and a black teen drinking a pepsi.
This was much more of a commentary on public policy in Chicago and not how we can improve transit related factors and metrics. I think it’s unfair to the CTA that they shoulder the burden of the city failing to care for its residents. The CTAs role is to move people, the police’s role is to ensure safety in our communities, and the city should be looking after its people. The CTA right now is being asked to do all three and that’s honestly not fair.
love this video! and yeah there definitely need to be fixes so more people will use the CTA, I can't imagine what would happen if one of the lines got dropped because of lack of funding.
I agree 100%. Decriminalization of illegal activities, in reality, is enabling crime. My solution is draconian, but desperate times call for desperate measures!!

That’s a great point, and yeah it isn’t fair that the CTA has to face all of these burdens
ive just stopped taking the red line entirely and have been taking the metra UP-N downtown, i really hope things get better man
