In Cook County with red flag laws, FOIDs and all their other gun control? For a perpetrator that had his FOID card revoked and was arrested while trying to enter a music festival with a loaded handgun? Who was killed firing on police WHILE HE WAS AWAITING TRIAL FOR ILLEGALLY CARRYING A FIREARM?
Gee, I couldn't possibly think of anything that could fix that...
“Prior to the shooting, Reed had been arrested twice in a matter of months and was awaiting trial in a pending gun case, according to Cook County court records.”
"An empty gun was recovered at the scene"
"He fired 11 rounds at these police officers before he was eventually killed.”
“He was first arrested on April 20, 2023, after allegedly walking out of the Saks Fifth Avenue along the Magnificent Mile while wearing a $950 shirt he hadn’t paid for, according to an arrest report. He was charged with a misdemeanor count of retail theft that was soon tossed out."
" Then on July 13, 2023, he was arrested again when officers allegedly found him carrying a loaded handgun while entering the Windy City Smokeout music festival outside the United Center, an arrest report states. He had no concealed carry license, and his firearm owners identification card had been revoked.”
“After initially being charged with a felony count of unlawful use of a weapon, he was indicted on additional gun-related felonies, court records show. That case was pending when he was shot and killed."
Read that again too, what he was pending trial for... “carrying a loaded handgun while entering the Windy City Smokeout music festival". He was very possibly a few steps away from being a possible “mass shooter” in a public space. He had multiple felony indictments related to firearms.
Maybe Chicago should throw some more gun control at it, it's working right? Those officers knew who he was and what he was on pre-trial for and the suggestion that he was some "innocent black man being rousted for his seatbelt" is flagrantly false. He was a criminal who fired on police and was killed, justly.
    *Edit*
Here is a video that shows why so many shots are fired even when it "appears" they are down. In another heavy gun control place, NY.
    ua-cam.com/video/5Ib94o7p5FM/v-deo.htmlsi=6BUV7z2OQM9192YO
Another that shows why they need to be so aggressive when they are dealing with known criminals. ua-cam.com/video/OgNNlMvrBoc/v-deo.htmlsi=pR9hXluvXRBVF3UF
Ever wonder why they don't believe violent criminals when they say they are complying? ua-cam.com/video/_GR7UiLw9Ww/v-deo.htmlsi=qA8LiED3pwdF-6TC
Here are some statistics from Chicago. heyjackass.com/
In Chicago police shot and killed just 5 people in 2023 out of the 576 total shootings that resulted in death.
In Chicago police shot and injured just 5 people in 2023 out of the 2,501 shootings where they were wounded.
    Sorry ACABS, you are wrong.
I guess this one doesn't fit the narrative since he was Hispanic even though the police fired over 100 shots, there was no gun. ua-cam.com/video/_ctpOmmXLdk/v-deo.htmlsi=9kobV7LgiSjjhxha

How they've seen that he had not wear seatbelt if it was so tinted? They also got night vision goggles from military?
Also, he wasn't justly killed. It's up to to judge to decide. Not the cops.
Also, 100 shots in the residential should be considered endangering public. Where all those bullets landed?

The black lives that matter here are the ones Dexter was endangering by having illegal weapons, stealing, and racing around the neighborhood with a head covering clearly meant to hide his identity. Not to mention the black cops who are trying to preserve the peace. If this guy had not been out on bail, he would have had time to reflect, maybe correct his path. Instead he chose the thug life. The tourniquet application was beyond ridiculous... "Insert the injured limb through the loop in the band and position the tourniquet 2-3" above the bleeding site. If the most proximal bleeding site is not readily identifiable, place the tourniquet as high as possible on the limb." You do not position the tourniquet at the proximal humerus for a hand/wrist arterial trauma... You are establishing the point of amputation in the field when you apply a tourniquet, by applying it that far up the limb makes it more difficult to assess the effectiveness of the tourniquet application and starves a tremendous amount of viable tissue that should never be at risk. I'm not even sure that the wound warranted a tourniquet, direct pressure may have been more than adequate for the type and volume of hemorrhage.

    • @paularose9407

    • @bowtr0
      @bowtr0 6 місяців тому

Anyone that was in the boy scouts, let alone the military, knows that a tourniquet should ONLY be used if pressure bandages cannot stop the bleeding. We used to be told to loosen the tourniquet every - I think fifteen minutes - in order to avoid the necessity of amputation of the limb, due to blood poisoning or whatever. I believe we Marines were told (back in the late fifties) to drop the loosening from consideration because allowing more blood loss each time may kill the injured person. A close call, but since most of use don't know how much blood a person requires to survive, the thought is better to risk the limb than the life. Were I in that position, I might be tempted to loosen at least once, if the known loss of blood was not very significant yet. Of course, that's only if it was just me there and no witnesses of my action...

To everyone who is saying why officers fired 96 shots at the suspect, it's obvious that the perp was shooting at the officers first (we can see at 0:17 into this video) and they were stuck in a crossfire with the suspect. But once they shot at the suspect more than a dozen times, why did they keep shooting, just pause the video at 0:41, the suspect still had the strength to drive the car after his vehicle was riddled with bullets. I am sure not all the bullets hit him but he was probably shot at least five times at that point. He was still alive and dangerous and officers feared that he can still flee the scene and try shooting at the officers again. That's what drugs do, they give people superhuman, supernatural strenght and terrible behavior. Cops need to make sure the suspect is not moving anymore and is in handcuffs before they can secure the scene. Even people who are already handcuffed are still capable of doing terrible things, that's why cops were yelling at the perp to put his hands behind his back and not to move after they shot him and after he was cuffed. His behavior was proportional to the use of force these officers used. One of the officers was even shot in the arm due to the suspect's reckless behavior.

At 0:17 the black cop with the hoodie puts the barrel of his gun (right-hand) on the passenger-side windshield. 1 sec later shots are fired. Hoodie cop gets hit just above his left wrist which appears to be below the passenger-side window. So who shot first? This is like a plane crash investigation. No assumptions just physical and video evidence.

Uhh, let me get this right. We know the perp had a gun AND FIRED IT and wounded an officer.
      WTH ???
What do you expect the cops to do? If they did NOT use every available source they could to stop that shooter and someone else got shot - maybe killed - would you please explain why to the victim's wife, mother, father, son, daughter, etc.?
THIS IS A VERY GOOD LEARNING THING FOR ALL OF US:
ALWAYS DO WHAT THE COP TELLS YOU TO DO.
You can hire a lawyer later.

The number of shots is irrelevant when there are multiple guns being fired , if they kept him in prison for illegally carrying a firearm in a city that banned guns then he’d still be alive , oh well, I hope the black community is watching what these democrat policies continue to do to their neighborhoods

    • @georgefunes4535
      @georgefunes4535 6 місяців тому

Had prior records of being caught with a weapon illegally. All it takes is a quick search of the license plates in the system to pull prior offenses up. Plus the area in which Reed was pulled over is known for traffic stops in which the civilian fire weapons back at police. With all this being said, why wouldn’t you draw your gun out when doing a traffic stop in such a shit neighborhood? It may not be common wherever you live but it is in Chicago.

Protocol is when someone refuses to comply, which is usually the signal they are about to do something really stupid. Would you want to be a cop in this fucked up world? I sure as hell wouldn't want to be one. In fact they couldn't pay me enough!!!

It's hard to protect yourself against a mob hit. They say cops pulled him over because he wasn't wearing a seat belt. Then they say he refused to roll the tinted windows down. The windows were tinted very dark, so how could they see if he was wearing a seat belt? Is it possible the police fired the first shot? Why does Chicago have a history of white police torture of Black men? Can anyone ever believe Chicago police? Are we in for more riots and Black people demanding justice and freedom from police brutality? NO JUSTICE NO PEACE-NO RACIST POLICE!
