Thank you for all your well wishes last week - they really made a difference!
As soon as I felt better, I went for a walk to one of the local beaches. It is always a joy!
I also made Festive Apple Chutney and some more Autumn decoration for our Seaside Cottage.

Apple Chutney Recipe
500 g Apples
1 TSBP Oil
1 Cinnamon Bark
2 parts Star Anise
4 Cloves
1,5 TBSP Ginger
1/2 TSP Red Chili Powder
1 TSP Ground Cumin
3 TSBP Brown Sugar
3 TSBP Sugar
1/4 TSP Ground Pepper
1/2 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
Peel the apples (you can also use them with the skin) and cut into dices.
Heat the oil in a frying pan and add cinnamon, star anise and clove. Fry for a couple of minutes. Add ginger, chilli power, cumin and fry for another minute.
Add the apples, sugar and vinegar and cook on high heat for a couple of minutes. Add pepper, cover and let simmer until the apples are soft.
Store in a sterilised jar and enjoy!

I have never that expression before.....it is so true. !!!! When I was growing up ( along side the dinosaurs) I always heard " sticks and stones can break your bones....but names can never hurt you." And THAT ......really is NOT true. Words can hurt and sting badly. Yes we all must be careful of our words....my best friend always says....."you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube.." Once it is out you have to deal with it...... and yes.... we all have to be mindful of what we say and do. Sometimes things we say in life cannot be repaired no matter how sorry we are. Kerstin, I feel so grateful for you and your vlogs each week. You get feedback with love probably because you are so giving of yourself and your kind words each week. You are inspiring and creative and allowing us to see such beauty around you helps a lot of us I’m sure. My mom, God rest her soul, would say in my younger years, “a still tongue is a wise tongue”. So you are better to say nothing if you feel you are wanting to respond to someone in a somewhat angry manner. Wait until you feel less upset before you decide to respond. Kindness really does matter doesn’t it! I’m so glad you feel a bit better this week. These moments are sometimes just around the corner and take some time to get back to normal after feeling down and out. It’s wonderful you get to realize that what you offer to us in such a beautiful way, can actually come back to you in a similar way I guess. Give and you shall receive. Hello Kirsten 🖐. I agree with you and I think kindness doesn't cost anything. Unfortunately, we live in times where some people spread some hate on the internet, but wouldn't dare to do it face to face. I also think it's not only words that can harm one, it's also how they can make you feel with their behaviour/actions. I think a bad spoken word from a loved one can hurt more, while it's not the same if it comes from a stranger, it's different (at least for me, but it wasn't always like that). Beautiful decoration. You know how to make a cosy home. Thank you ❤️

My daughter is autistic and takes what people say litrally so I am always very careful what I say, a flippant remark made in jest can cut very deep to her.
Words are really important and can change your entire mood, I like to compliment people on their attire or their perfume , sometimes just to see the smile on their face is enough to make me feel good, also, a kind word to someone,a stranger can mean so much, maybe they live alone and don't have family, you could be the only person they have spoken with all day.

I love to decorate also😀 I made a apple pie last week and tomorrow I am making a pumpkin pie and I enjoy the fall season also and watching the leaves come down from the trees. I agree fully- less mindful people overuse words, especially “sorry”.
To apologise for a wrong means it buys one the opportunity to correct the wrong and repair a situation. If the person keeps repeating the hurtful action, it’s a clear indication that the “ sorry”, has no real meaning.

We must also speak the same kind words to ourselves which can be more difficult than treating others with kindness ❤
We can choose to only allow what we want to be a part of our inner world to be aware of worldly events yes but I choose to engage in what brings me peace joy and wonder! The chutney looks delicious apples are some of my favorite fruit! The fall decor is lovely I enjoy foraging this time of year and creating pieces to enjoy in my home too 🍂🌾🍁🌿🌻

Thank you for the recipe. I would have enjoyed a walk like you were on. Too hot for me in Florida. Hope we will get some cooler weather soon. We are expecting a tropical storm or hurricane by Wednesday. I live in Central Florida. Somewhat prepared. Love your decorations. The tree came out beautifully.
