'Middleton Harbour. Back in 50's we used to beach the fishing boats up in the Narrow top end on the beach. Large winch and rollers, cabins. Scrape. recaulk if needed. Retar. and float on next tide. I still remember the taste of the old watchmans Pipe Backy. Yuk. and chewed the chips of tar when they hammered it smaller to melt down and brush on hulls with those round, Bristle tar brushes. Some good. Carefree memories from them days. '40/'50's. Then I left there in '58 and made a life elsewhere Last 51yrs in Australia. Shorts.T Shirt, and sandals mainly. Winter (12 to 24 deg) around 7 weeks long . Rest of yr. 24 to 35ish deg,. Heaven. Sooner you leave there. SOONER you'll get a life. Kids. Grandkids, and 3 Great Grandkids. ALL working, Mainly in the mines. Most own several houses.
