I get a lot of satisfaction out of making tools for the job or adapting something to do something new that I need. When you do something, is more important for you, I get to be entertained by everything you post so it doesn't matter when you get around to things, it's all interesting.
Hey your cool. Need a tool make a tool. Used to do that all the time. I was a machine builder for years. Loved tinkering. Now have heart problems an that's slowed me down a lot. But watching you I think I'm going to start making knives too. Just as a get me to doing something kind of thing. Besides the grandkids would love a knife an I can involve them too. So thank you an keep them coming!
Hey brother, Love the vids. I am not trolling or being negative. My suggestion would be to drill the tap hole before parting so you don't have to cut all the way into the middle and it makes sure everything is aligned. Glad to see you got started with the collaboration. You are very positive :) and I appreciate that.
😂😂😂 I can't believe it I was thinking the same hear me out on this I wanted to make my first butterfly knife for a while and I was thinking the same it need lots of tools I don't have machining skills I don't have 😂😂 but I going to take your advice on start working on it and learn along the way
Wish I was in my shop again. If you can take the tool your making and have a 1/4 or 1/8th key put in it Even thigh you will be using a clamping device if you go to fast it will slip. Yes a key way will cost you but how much can it be. Make a world of difference. Good luck,
Very cool, your parting blade is to far out, if you have any spare circular tungsten saw blades makes great parting blades, just cut them up with a angle grinder cheers from OZ.
Sure looks like your parting tool was set below center of your part the way the stock was rising, Had the same problem until I got my tool properly centered,
hey Jeremy you should check out mike from ekim knives he makes some great content to and he has a build along tutorial on pocket knives. maybe his videos can help you out a bit with your plans for a folder. keep up the great work, i love your videos.
I do apologize. I don’t mean for it to come across that way. But a lot of people see a lathe and think, hey, why don’t you just make this or that. In reality, there are tons of projects and tools I want to make but can’t just because my lathe is very low quality. Having a junk lathe is not the same as a decent lathe of the same size.
Simple Little Life wow! An actual response; I love your content I learn more and become more inspired by your content and humble attitude more than any other channel that I watch keep up with the great content!
Buddy, you don't owe us an explanation. Appreciate all the amazing free content...
Think its safe to say we're all just excited for this new build, and other builds, as you are! Thanks for sharing!!
Nice job Jeremy on the slitting saw
Love the music while you’re working the lathe! So 80’s.

Good advice for life! Just start. Failing is part of the adventure.
Not much speed-talking...thankfully, so glad. Sped-up video...that was excellent.

Nice arbor build.
Love this! I was in the middle of searching for a half decent slitting saw. I wish my 7x10 mini lathe was robust enough!
Looks really good too👍🏻
That looks like it’d be an easy design for a frame lock
Thanks for the video, really appreciate the effort and your content.
