      Please remove the sacrifice event and the miss chance entirely. This will make the game more strategic and less prone to bad luck making you lose thus it will make player blame himself for bad decision and not get angry at the game mechanics screwing him over.

      @@zarddin9561 Hi there! Thanks for your feedback, it's very helpful for the current state of the game to see what people vibe with and what not.
      Just to clarify some of the mechanics:
      The miss chance is actually a passive ability specific to the Peppermint Evoling. It has a 10% miss chance, but also a 10% crit chance (double damage). So most Evolings don't miss. This is also hinted at in the Evopedia entry. Might change this to a crit only chance, though.
      Regarding the sacrifice: It can be avoided in several ways: Buying the "lucky charm", having the "Urn", catching a "Candle" Evoling, avoiding "?" levels, "Booo" can sometimes evade the sacrifice... The idea was that the player learns to play around the sacrifice with experience, but I do agree that it is very punishing and frustrating, so it will probably be changed to something more forgiving and avoidable.

      A nice technique I've heard for balancing (mostly card) games is to get the numbers to where you want them and then double them, so now you have a finer knob to turn, you can do basically half point increases and nerfs from there and properly fine tune everything
      Cheers and congrats on having a not only playable but good looking, fun game, that's already a huge feat to achieve

    This game is awfully balanced, the event that makes you sacrifice your mons for nothing shouldn't even exist, it seems that having a balanced party of multiple mons is nearly impossible.

    I always love when creature collector type games have different "classes" or types instead of just fire, water, grass. Love the candy, space, slime types!! I hope to see more of this game, it looks really cute!
    I also hope the UI is cleaned up/made more obvious cause it felt kinda hard to see what was happening in the battles in terms of who goes first, etc. Looks really good tho! :D

    There are 2 kinds of randomness in games: input randomness and output randomness.
    Input randomness means that something random happens and then you decide how to react. An example of input randomness is when you encounter a random enemy and you have to decide how to defeat it.
    Output randomness is when you take an action and then the game does something random *after* your action. For example, when you attack but you have a random chance to miss, that is an output randomness.
    Generally speaking, input randomness is fun, output randomness is frustrating.
    This game has so much output randomness and this is the problem.
    You go to a question mark and one of your minions is sacrificed and you cannot do anything about it. Also, the random misses.
    The devs have to decrease the output randomness and substitute it either by input randomness or by something predictable.

    I just grabbed this game since it got its full release recently, highly recommend revisiting it. The balance has been vastly improved as promised.

    yeah they need to get rid of missing hits that shit was rough. THAT SACRIFICE ALSO HAS TO BE GONE! ALSO HOW DID YOU DIE AT THE END LOL? jesus lol

      Looks like the bottom one put his team to sleep then the top one was an evolved bomb that self destructed.

    It’s nice that you can predict the enemies moves, but yeah the exploding enemies, enemies that have huge aoe damage early on, events that fundamentally are just bad, there are things that are rough but could be the bones of a cooler feature. I think things need to scale a lot faster for the player or the enemies and random events need to slow down a lot. Also I don’t see the benefit of having a team other than having two healers and one that you fully support so when you inevitably have to choose to sacrifice the rest of your team, you’ll feel less bad/ have a chance to keep playing.

      That's a good point! Bombs will not explode turn 1 in the future. Randomness has to be reduced a lot, Many balancing changes have to be done! I agree!

    As is, this game doesn't look fun - despite me *really* wanting it to be. I think there are some glaring game balance and player agency issues - hopefully they can tweak it a bit before launch, because I think it could still be great!!

    If some serious design changes are made I think there are some good elements here. Randomly having to sacrifice your guys for no gain whatsoever has to be one of the most baffling design decisions I’ve ever seen in a game, especially in a creature collector.
    The monster designs are fun though and the general look of the game is appealing to me. The types are actually interesting and not just a rehash of Pokémon.

    Saw someone else play this and the balance seemed incredibly bad, like, they didn't even try bad. Judging by the comments here it's not just that person got unlucky I suppose. Game's just that badly balanced

    Wow the balancing on this game is absolutely horrendous. It needs a lot of work before it's enjoyable to play I think.
