Bottom shelf = cheap. Also, it’s “dodging potholes” not “dodging bottles”. 😉 Basically, he fell for a girl on vacation and wanted to bring her back home with him but she didn’t show up so all he’s bringing back home with him is sand in his boots
Morgan Wallen has so many great songs. Including 98 Braves, Wine Into Water, I dont Think Jesus, Warning, Cover Me Up, Wasted On You, I Wrote The Book, Neon Eyes, Last Night
This is nostalgic to anybody familiar with vacationing along the Grand Strand Myrtle Beach area. Especially Spring Break kids. This is the story of every young person up and down the East coast and all over the South East. Morgan would know about this being from Tenn.
One of the great modern storytellers. This is just a summer "met her at the beach" fling. Somehow this song really reminds me of the Eagles - maybe the reference to "Desperado". He's got 2 or 3 great "summer lovin'" songs, but he's got some fun drinkin' songs, too. He just had a concert at the football stadium in Knoxville, enormous crowd singing to this song.
You should absolutely react to more of Morgan's music! I actually just got back from the Hometown show over the weekend in Knoxville and it was amazing. Any of his live sessions are fantastic. If I had to choose a song for you to listen to, I'd say to listen to 7 Summers Ago or Thought You Should Know (He wrote this one for his momma)
Britt his music is amazing. Very talented. Don’t know if this is the first reaction to Mr Wallen but please do some more. One of my favorite country music singers. I think you will induct him into the pdc. He won’t disappoint
How about going back a few years? With " Dont take the girl". By Tim McGraw! Serious story telling. Awesome voice. Tear jerker. A great addition to the PDC!.
If you love stories you should check out Collin Raye and his songs Love , Me ; Little Rock ; One Boy , One Girl ; Little Red Rodeo or That’s My Story and I’m Sticking To It .
Also, please react to the studio version! It’s different, but the production (in my opinion) still really compliments the song. I love both versions so much.
Lol, just a little off on your understanding of the song which is ok. Bottom shelf is cheap whiskey, “dodging potholes in my sunburn Silverado” going through life with small holes alone. Nothing violent about the song, it’s pretty much about a summer fling where he fell for a girl at the beach he met and they hit it off but she was just having a good time where he’s jokingly asking her to come back to his hometown since he keeps talking about how she’ll like it, she playing around saying you’re crazy, she doesn’t show up at the end when he’s leaving for home as he was hoping she would and all he has ounce he’s back home is sand in his boots from the beach with her
This guy has some good stuff going. Dont listen to people giving him hell for going "pop" or mainstream. He is still good. He works a lot with Hardy as Hardy has written a lot of his songs. They work great together.
Top shelf is the high dollar expensive stuff, and so bottom shelf is the cheap stuff. His songs have fantastic lyrics!!!! My interpretation is they met on vacation and had a fling, he wanted her to go back home with him, but she didn't show up.... So all he left with was sand from the beach in his boots, not with her!! ❤❤❤❤❤
The music video for micah tylers song praise the lord is funny and will bring you joy. Been waiting for several months to see it on your channel. Hope to see it sometime in the future. Anywho 😆 great reaction!
Oh, but now I'm dodging potholes (not bottles) in my sunburnt Silverado, like a heart broke desperado heading right back to my roots. No violence in this song, in my opinion he's talking about meeting someone and having a short "thing" with her while he's on vacation or wherever and he tried to get her to go back to his hometown with him and he thought she'd meet him the next morning to go with him, but didn't show up. So, it was a short-lived romance he wanted to go further but didn't.
Think people have already said, but "bottom shelf" is cheap alcohol. For whiskey that could be Jack Daniels or Jim Beam most likely. At least thats the popular cheap ones.
I go to his show every week for work. You have to see him do this song live to really appreciate the type of performer he is. Last thought… I think you are missing the point of the song😂
Yeah idk if this song is a panty dropper, per se, as it’s really sad and doesn’t make me want to drop my panties 😂 BUT, in my humble opinion, Morgan Wallen is just a panty dropper himself. His voice, the emotion behind it, the way he’s able to so eloquently tell a story… it just is so HOT to me 😂 I think you got the gist that he’s telling the story of how he and this girl met, but I’ve always interpreted it as more of a spontaneous encounter. Like maybe a summer romance where he knew he was eventually going to have to go home but fell in love with her and tried convincing her to run away with him and she couldn’t do it.
Dodging potholes, he met a girl and thought they shared something special and that she’d go back home with him but she never showed up so he went home alone
No, he meet a girl on vacation at the beach and he wanted her to come back with him but she didn't want to and all he brought with him was the sand in his boots!!
I'm only five minutes into your reaction, so I don't know if you actually ended up getting what this is about... it's like a summer love. He went on vacation. He ran into this girl, they had a romantic tryst. He tried to get her to come back to his hometown. He thought she was going to show up that morning and he ended app going back by himself with just the sand in his boots...
Wasted on you!! U proof Last night 7 summers Thought u should know Broadway girls Chasin you Cover me up Thinking bout me Just to name a few!😂 Please go down the Morgan Wallen rabbithole.U definitely will not b disappointed!!He's definitely a very talented artist!!
I like watching your reactions but its really annoying when you get half the words right and have no idea what the song is about. Pull up some lyrics...goodness gracious!
"we drank bottom shelf" cheap whiskey
😕
I said “baby girllllll…. Bottom shelf is cheap whiskey” 😂😂
lol fr fr
They met at the beach on vacation and both had to go back home.
he was dodging potholes not bottles
Bottom shelf = cheap. Also, it’s “dodging potholes” not “dodging bottles”. 😉 Basically, he fell for a girl on vacation and wanted to bring her back home with him but she didn’t show up so all he’s bringing back home with him is sand in his boots
Great encapsulation of the song.
This was incredible! To me this was a little fling on the beach but he ended up driving home alone. 😊
Love that!
Yeah this! very much this..dunno how anyone would think there was violence? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Morgan Wallen has so many great songs. Including 98 Braves, Wine Into Water, I dont Think Jesus, Warning, Cover Me Up, Wasted On You, I Wrote The Book, Neon Eyes, Last Night

His cover of "cover me up" is his PDC song.
The original is best tho
@brandonpeters1618 I agree jason Isbell's original is the best
Absolutely! I was going to suggest this!!! You have to react to this!!! That is his PDC performance
He says “now I’m dodging potholes in my sunburnt Silverado” like he’s swerving through life
Haha girl you missed this one. Haha read the lyrics. That country accent got ya.
You should absolutely react to more of Morgan's music! I actually just got back from the Hometown show over the weekend in Knoxville and it was amazing. Any of his live sessions are fantastic. Britt you gotta see the Taste of Country live acoustic of ‘Cover Me Up’ for the PDC! ♥️
The solo acoustic version..dear Lord❤
How about going back a few years? With " Dont take the girl". By Tim McGraw! Serious story telling. Awesome voice. Tear jerker. A great addition to the PDC!.
If you love stories you should check out Collin Raye and his songs Love , Me ; Little Rock ; One Boy , One Girl ; Little Red Rodeo or That’s My Story and I’m Sticking To It .
Fling at the beach but she didn’t show up. He was dodging potholes while driving his sunburnt (faded) Silverado
“Dodging potholes” 😂 love your reaction! PDC suggestion: “Not good at not” by Morgan Wallen- the video of the acoustic version 🔥
thomas rhett: die a happy man
I cannot stress enough just how much you should react to that song
“Bottom shelf” is where they put all the stuff that doesn’t sell well. Eye level and up is usually “the good stuff”
I am hopeless! At age 70,I hear PDC and my immediate thought is that the elastic in my undies has broken! Yup,hopeless and VERY low on estrogen!🤣🤣
You can also watch his journey on The Voice . Thats what made him famous even tho he didnt win back in 2014
You should listen to Chris Jansen, Take a Drunk girl Home. It is a few years old.but it will grab you
That is a good song.
Also, please react to the studio version! It’s different, but the production (in my opinion) still really compliments the song. I love both versions so much.
Yesss the acoustic version, just him and his guitar! That's 100% PDC. I wish more people would suggest it❤
Try "the way i talk" for a throwback " try "you proof" "lastnight" "broadway girls "
Lol, just a little off on your understanding of the song which is ok. Bottom shelf is cheap whiskey, “dodging potholes in my sunburn Silverado” going through life with small holes alone. Dodging potholes
More Morgan please!!!
Girl you want major PDC.
Aerosmith Angel. Your welcome
This guy has some good stuff going. Dont listen to people giving him hell for going "pop" or mainstream. He is still good. He works a lot with Hardy as Hardy has written a lot of his songs. They work great together.
I am going to request this until you do it, Foreigner- waiting for a girl like You!! PDC guaranteed!!
They actually ended up together. People think she stood him up but she was not there for a reason
She stood him up,,, Broadway Girls!!!
No she did not
Top shelf is the high dollar expensive stuff, and so bottom shelf is the cheap stuff. His songs have fantastic lyrics!!!! My interpretation is they met on vacation and had a fling, he wanted her to go back home with him, but she didn't show up.... So all he left with was sand from the beach in his boots, not with her!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Kinda like a possible random hook up, but the guy wanted it to be more and the girl left. hahah imagine spring break type scenario.
you missed this one... he's dodging "potholes" in his truck (silverado)... no violence... just a spring break fling love affair....innocent...
The music video for micah tylers song praise the lord is funny and will bring you joy. Been waiting for several months to see it on your channel. Hope to see it sometime in the future. Anywho 😆 great reaction!

There's a spreadsheet for dropping drawers? Respect...
Dodging bottles 😂😂😂
Oh, but now I'm dodging potholes (not bottles) in my sunburnt Silverado, like a heart broke desperado heading right back to my roots. Dodging potholes and , bottom shelf (cheap whiskey)
Think people have already said, but "bottom shelf" is cheap alcohol. For whiskey that could be Jack Daniels or Jim Beam most likely. At least thats the popular cheap ones.
You should check out Zach Bryan's live versions of Mine Again and Leaving
Bottom shelf is where the bars keep the cheap whiskey😅
I go to his show every week for work. You have to see him do this song live to really appreciate the type of performer he is.
Last thought… I think you are missing the point of the song😂
Listen to cody johnson "nothing on you"
Did you check out the suns performances on the masked singer? If not i think you will be pleasantly surprised. The video is on youtube.
Yeah idk if this song is a panty dropper, per se, as it’s really sad and doesn’t make me want to drop my panties 😂 BUT, in my humble opinion, Morgan Wallen is just a panty dropper himself. His voice, the emotion behind it, the way he’s able to so eloquently tell a story… it just is so HOT to me 😂

It’s good Morgan but there is SO MUCH BETTER Morgan.
You would love "The way I talk" by him.
Beautiful song
bottom shelf whiskey
I think if you ever watch You In A Honky Tonk, Randall King will go to the top of your PDC list. Just sayin
No, he meet a girl on vacation at the beach and he wanted her to come back with him but she didn't want to and all he brought with him was the sand in his boots!!
The Morgan Wallen PDC is Cover Me Up
Review “man made a bar”
I love a girl that reps BX. Love your hat Britt
"Little Rain" might be the song to decide if Morgan belongs in the PDC or not.
I’ll give it a spin!
The way I talk is beast

Bottom shelf is cheap whiskey and Dodging Pot-holes
I'm only five minutes into your reaction, so I don't know if you actually ended up getting what this is about... it's like a summer love. He went on vacation. Looks like we won't be seeing him for a while after his stunt he pulled
do a reaction to Chris Cornell remake of Nothing Compares to you!!!
I know you like the live versions but I think you do miss a lot by not watching the official videos as well.
Didn’t you induct him to the song, Cover me up??
Awesome.
Thanks!
Cover me up is def his best
I think hes saying he met a girl on a resort down south and they clicked and he was hoping she would come with him
You like a story? Stephen Wilson Jr. (insert any acoustic song). Everything else is wrong !
Bottom shelf is cheap alcohol
morgan wallen sunrise or are you think about me
So we drank bottom shelf, have you ever noticed all the whiskey is on the bottom shelf of the alcoholic drinks
If this is a song you think is pdc material you're easy.
