The Aptera is looking rather special.
Headed in the right direction
Aptera looks very interesting, should know soon if it will become a reality.
I love all these vehicles, they would be perfect for my small town!!!!
I got mine reserved.
Nimbus now that is the bomb price rang & power I want one
I love the Stella Vita!!!
GOT MY INTEREST AND MY VOTE FOR MY NEXT GOT TO HAVE!!!
I want the last one, RV solar panels and all. I would make it my only car.
Eli zero now that is good small parks anywhere excellent pricing awesome!
It really is!
The Aptera is hands down the most efficient daily transport in the whole world.
I'm sure the Chinese will copy it if they see it selling well.
Then sell a crap version, for under $10K
It's the smartest thing I seen
Hello Dejuan Rogers, thank you for watching!
APTERA IS MAYBE GOOD FOR A LONG DRIVE SO YOU CAN PULL OVER AND TAKE A NAP WHEN YOUR TIRED!
Sooo great to hear you tell the price after each item.
Glad it was helpful!
Muito bom esses vídeos 📹 📹 📹
The APTERA has been in the making for several decades now. I really don’t think you’re ever gonna see it but if you do I’ll be surprised I would like to see it I like the design I like the concept but they just never come through with it. Could be a scam
I would love to own everyone.👍😎
THE NIMBUS IS GOING TO CATCH ON! ITS TO COOL NOT TO!!!
I want an abterra is my Feedback
Nice 😁👍
Thank you! Cheers!
I wish the cargo area was lower for easier load in.
All depends on the quality of the customer service!
First long time viewer
The first vehicle is an interesting "concept", but it's still a "concept" and a lot of people have come up with "concepts" that NEVER made it to market.
Aptera is far beyond a "concept". The gamma vehicle has been produced and will be shown next week. My wife and I have both ridden in alphas.
@@n.brucenelson5920 And when will it be available for the general public to buy, and at what price, and what will the support/maintenance be available nationwide?
@@RicG. Preorders are available now. I will be taking delivery of mine early next year, but there is probably at least a 2 year backlog, depending on how quickly they can ramp up production. the 250 mile range version will start at $25,900. My 400 mile range model, nicely outfitted with upgraded sound system and level 2 self driving will be mid-30s.
Aptera grants right to repair and will have open source repair documents available to owners and independent garages. There will be QR codes throughout the vehicle to take you to service videos. They will also have some mobile repair crews.
Everything you use today, from toothbrush to vehicle, was once a 'concept design', and seems to have made it to market. As Oddball would say "Don't hit me with those Negative Waves ..." 😀
If Eli was smart they would partner with a motorcycle company for those who travel long distance and need more range, by doing so over a gasoline engine that would make money for them until enough charging stations and fast enough charging get them where they need to be to make profit and a sustainable company!!
Where's the end of the Toyota segment? Any price?
Ok we're do we sign up for them, we're can we get a brochure
You can find a link to the company in the video description. Thanks.
Aptera 2.0, or the Second Try of Aptera,
Aptera failed the first time around because they put too much emphasis on wringing out every last bit of MPG at the expense of the driving experience. Little things, like decent steering even at slow speeds and at least minimal braking ability. The tires of the electric Aptera are literally twice as wide as the gas powered version's skinny wheels.
Aptera failed the first time because they were partnered with Idealab. When they were ready to start production, they hired a CEO from Detroit who decided he wanted to build a more conventional car and ousted the founders in a board fight in 2009 with the help of Google and other large investors. When he couldn't find backers to produce his design he liquidated the company in 2011.
Both Aptera founders went on to found new successful companies, including a lithium battery company that Chris Anthony took public as CEO.
He was able to buy back the rights from the widow of the man who bought the rights to the original company in 2019, and restarted with a new design with the original partners.
@@n.brucenelson5920 Thanks for the background info. Xbus seems to be having issues with the ICE-background Chairman they have brought in (who has caused the to design become much less innovative and lower-performing), maybe they will go the same way as the original Aptera.
@@alfnoakes392 This would be a shame. We need forward looking companies with vision. I have not followed Xbus closely since I am not in Europe, but I will take a closer look.
And my E-Dory/row-boat that is motor&paddle-less
Excuse me can ye help me invent my E-Walker that is solar
To help health care patients
Health care patients have been over looked 1, 2, many times, they deserve to in this electric ERA/age with us
Aptera is very nice but 57 000$ not even close to what it is really worth too pricy
Aptera starts at $25,900.
THE NIMBUS IS TOO TOO SMALL!!
Its a good thing they double as a camper cause when the battery runs out your going to need it.
You have more choices than if you run out of gas for sure!
wouldn't it just be solar powered cars not like there solar powered gas cars
not my cup of tea!! would rather have a van or a trailor,!!
The second Aptera vehicle will be a 4 wheel, 5 passenger sedan, but vans are in the production plan.
all the Aptera numbers are still render bait. they haven't produced a production intent vehicle yet and they keep pushing their dates back and are in danger of missing any delivery this year. So, prices, range, and more, are all just numbers in a spreadsheet with no measured values. This is coming from someone who wants one but is realistic about it.
You can't ride in a "render" and both my wife and I had thrilling rides in an alpha version. The gamma vehicle will be revealed in detail next week. They don't always reveal the progress the moment it happens. They are still on track to have a production intent vehicle by December.
All of these are simply great for city use BUT many other drivers get pissed off - really at small vehicles when they want to get wherever they want to go and these probably won’t be able to compete.
Susceptibility to dents
Parking- even in a commercial garage.🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
expensive fad
25,900 is not expensive compared to other 2 seaters.
I might be wrong and I hope I am .But I really don't see EV's as the future . When you really look into EVs your just trading one set of problems for another. I live in Florida after hurricane Irma I had to drive my neighbor around because he couldn't charge his Tesla model s . And can you imagine the strain on the Us's old power grid trying to charge millions of EVs plus house holds every day use. Just this summer they were telling people not to run the air conditioning in the middle of the day to prevent brown outs.
An Aptera with full solar will have none of those issues. Once V2G is standardized they will help the grid issue by feeding power back in during brownout conditions.
So if the power was out how did you get your fossil fuel ⛽️ at the gas station has we all know all the pumps are powered by electricity ⚡️ 🤔
@@stephenbusby3521 I don't understand your question? The grid support that could be provided by V2G equipped vehicles could keep grid power from going out due to overload.
APTERA is a car that has been “almost here” for years. Waste of time to talk about. Let’s table it until they actually produce a deliverable vehicle.
Pre-orders are available now. If you wait, you will be years behind in the delivery schedule. I will likely be driving mine early next year.
@@n.brucenelson5920 I’m hoping you are I just don’t see a lot of progress. I places a deposit when they first announced the car, I think it was $100 but I don’t remember. I don’t remember if I ever got it back but oh well
@@PapaDougsAdventures01 Are you talking about the 2005 company or the 2019 version? They attempted to refund all of the deposits for the original vehicle when they liquidated. The new company has honored the deposits of a few that were missed.
My wife and I visited the factory last November, and we both had rides in the alpha vehicles. Detailed pictures and descriptions of the gamma vehicles will be released next week.
Lots of progress happening, including contracts signed with major Tier ! suppliers. They are still on track to ship the first delta (Production version) by December
@@n.brucenelson5920 It would have been the 2005 company and as I said I don’t remember if it was returned but no matter. I’ll look forward to seeing the company flourish and I wish you and your wife well with your new car.
@@PapaDougsAdventures01 Thanks, Doug. At that time we were still using a motorcycle as our only vehicle and really enjoying it. As I aged, we replaced it with a Gen 1 Honda Insight, which has been good, but not what you would call exciting to drive. Our ride in the Aptera blew us away with the acceleration and handling - and it will have even better economy!
Thanks again for the good wishes!
