Great vid, just bought a 2017 SpyderRT limited, and this vid will get me going in the right direction. Definitely the floating foot pegs, cup holder and rear brake light are on the list!
@@markthespyderrider6641 No, you can get them from Lamonster Garage. They sell them with the plug n' play harnesses. Now the fender lights are an experience to install. There are no great instructional videos. The LEDS for the mirror are not hard to install. Lamonster calls them Longhorn lights. I did a video showcasing my lights but not the install.
Thanks Lloyd. I had the bandages issued when I was part of a Rapid Response Group deployed overseas. Their a great piece of kit to travel with, hopefully I will never come across a scene where they need to be used.
Just found your channel, so first time here. First of all, Hello Mark, beautiful Spyder RT Ltd. I like all the mods, all seem useful and practical, without going overboard. ( I'm sure that will come later. LoL 😎.) Nicely Done. Stay Alert. Ryde Safe in a fun way. Thanks for sharing. 😎.
I live in Florida and I will be getting a RT Limited soon. My priorities are lot's of lights for visibility. I also want a incredibly loud aftermarket sound system for those Pink Floyd moments. I was wondering how you lock a helmet. You showed me something new. Your bike looks awesome. Lastly, thanks for serving. I am retired Air Force myself.
Thank you Beanie! I love my RT but to be honest I was looking at getting a F3 when I bought it. My wife said she would ride with me so I went with the larger model for long distance touring. Still waiting for her to take her first ride :) Take care, safe travels!
@@markthespyderrider6641 Yeah the F3 is a bit more compact like the Ryker, a bit more nimble. I don't have any saddle bags or extras on mine ... It's just a bare bones naked F3 but I still love the RT! Cheers mate 👍😁 Beanie
I have the 2016 RT Ltd..I added the front and side grills...the biggest up grade was a total LED swap out of headlights, driving lights. saddle bag lights, fender lighting, and on the A Frames..plus rear mounted LED's for brake / turn signals, flag mounts like yours, the magic mirrors.. I also have the same rear trunk shelf system and the nets on the saddle bag doors and rear trunk with the bag inserts. I also added the storage system for the front trunk.
Thank you for sharing your additions and how you like them! I just got a used '18 RT Lmtd and have been looking at what I might want to add to it. I appreciate your short yet thorough walk through of everything!
You prolly dont give a damn but does any of you know a method to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my password. I love any assistance you can offer me
@Ahmed Parker Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and im trying it out atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Thanks Bill, I appreciate your comment! As the weather is getting a little cooler for early morning rides with fall approaching I took the drink holder off this week and am now using the RAM Mount drink holder bold in the center. With the drink insulator it helps keep the coffee hotter longer :) Safe travels!
Nicely done! Slowly working in mine. I would like to know where you got the following - Front grills Adjustable mirrors Cup holder Netting for tail trunk and side bags
Hello Richard, I hope you enjoy sprucing up your Spyder as much as I enjoyed working on mine. The following is a list of where I got the accessories you were asking about: Front grills - www.canamspyderaccessories.com/ Adjustable mirrors - www.canadiantire.ca/en.html Cup holder - www.amazon.ca/ Netting for tail trunk and side bags - fortnine.ca/en/ ( or Pierre did carry them at www.canamspyderaccessories.com/) Enjoy your ride!
Great looking machine! Your accessories are spot on. I have a “new” 2019 RT Ltd. I haven’t added anything yet other than a Baja Ron Sway Bar and a Pedal Box. I will eventually catch up though, I’m sure. One question, I live in Colorado and as the weather is cooling down quickly, have you found that adding a heated seat for the passenger is needed…or just use a plug-in suit?
I have a Bluetooth Device for my 2011 Can-Am RT the Bluetooth device does not work or do you know how to get it to work is hooked up the correct way though
Michael Whitfield Hi Michael, thank you for your comment. I purchased the highway pegs from www.canamspyderaccessories.com/rt-series-the-floating-pegs-all-years-and-models-black-with-polished-edge/ and I absolutely love them. I would recommend the pegs to anyone. For the Show Chrome 3rd Brake Light here is a link www.slingmods.com/can-am-spyder-rt-trunk-mounted-led-brake-turn-signal-running-light-kit?vehicle=1 but I bought mine from Amazon (usually in stock). Safe travels!
Hello Jon. Thank you very much for your comment, it is appreciated. The cargo netting I bought was made by Hopnel carried by Big Bike Parts but I purchased mine from Fortnine.ca fortnine.ca/en/hopnel-big-bike-parts-lid-net-set-3-piece-can-am-spyder-rt-41-156. My shelf in the trunk was purchased from CanAmSpyderAccessories at www.canamspyderaccessories.com/rt-can-am-spyder/rear-trunk-organizers/. As a side note the cargo netting can also be purchased at CanAmSpyderAccessories.com.
Very reasonable. I average about $300 Cdn a year for routine maintenance. Tire wear and change rate varies with the tire pressure you run and the amount of milage you put on the Spyder per year. Gas well that’s a different story, I use Premium or 94 octane and in Canada the gas companies love to charge a premium on fuel.
Agree with all your accessories, where did you purchase them? do you have a particular website to order from? Once I get my 2019 RT LTD most of these will be purchased and fitted.
Thanks for the comment Alex. I purchased the majority of the accessories from www.canamspyderaccessories.com/. Others I have purchased from fortnine.ca/en/, www.amazon.ca/ and store.valueaccessories.net/Can-AmSpyder.aspx to name a few. There are other stores I would like to purchase from in the US but once you include $50 for shipping to Canada unfortunately the product is not worth the price.
Great vid, just bought a 2017 SpyderRT limited, and this vid will get me going in the right direction. Definitely the floating foot pegs, cup holder and rear brake light are on the list!

Beautiful, I love every one of the accessories you added.
Thanks Jim!
Great job. Bike look awesome!
I Love All The Accessories You've Added To Your RTL! Good Video! Thanks!
The accessories I love on my Spyder are the fender lights and the mirror lights. Great video!
Thanks Mark for the comment. Did you make the fender and mirror lights yourself?

Where did you get those highway pegs?
Hi Lawrence. I purchased them from CANAM Spyder Accessories .Com www.canamspyderaccessories.com/rt-spyder/highway-mounts/
Thank you
Where did you order your phone mount from. I have a 2015 Spyder RTS se6, and haven't had any luck finding one anywhere?
Sorry for the delayed reply. I purchased mine form canamspyderaccessories.com and known it to be on Amazon.ca at times.
