Exynos looks more optimised to the dreariness of the UK weather! Another great video. 👍 I agree the Exynos wins this. I noticed a lot more glitchyness in the SD video compared to the Exynos.
My Exynos S21 ultra took just awful video out of the box especially in low light where noise and texture were dreadful but after three software updates it is improving all the time to the point now where it only needs a bit of noise reduction in all video scenarios to be a class performer indeed. I am impressed how it is improving. Genuinely.
Great video, I was worried since in Costa Rica we have the Exynos version, but the Exynos looked better in almost all photos, so I am going for the Samsung next week! 👍🏻
The exynos looks better, yet you won't find many praising it since mode automatically prejudge the exynos as being worse yet in reality the two chips are both as equal as can be, and these subtle differences are all fixable via software. But as things stand, exynos looks better
I think Exynos has always had a bad rap so it's interesting to see the differences this year. I too personally prefer the Exynos' photos compared to the Snapdragon but it is all down to personal preference
Your findings are same with Tom the Tech Chap, Exynos = more details slightly more noise (Photos) Snapdragon = more details slightly more noise (Low light Videos) Both are supposed to come to a middle ground, photos for Snapdragon and "low light" video for Exynos.
The HDR on the Exynos is a bit too much, when doing front facing video, can be a pro or a con. Very close call, there is supposed to be an update on the Exynos for video.
Yeah I think it's always going to be a personal preference. Both phones are on the latest Feb update in this video and also the latest Camera app version. I'm sure there's room for improvement though.
Neither got close to being hot but that's because is was -2C outside with the wind chill factor of about -10C. I know that doesn't help with your query. I can try do some thermal tests indoors though if you think that'd be helpful?
I only have the S21 but processor-wise - yes the S21 Ultra should be a great choice (if you're coming from an older Exynos chip). I can't comment on cameras though as it's a slightly different set on the Ultra.
@@AndroidAddicts that's a little puzzling to me, because I appreciate the true-to-life colors in a camera but also sharpness is pretty important. I may be happier with the snapdragon, I may order it from abroad, but I'll have to wait a bit. Thank you sir.
At first I didn't tell any difference between the two phones in camera quality but as it got in the video, I saw that when you zoom in the snap dragon would be blurry but however, the exynos was just pure clear when you pay close attention in the video so, definitely I would vote on the exynos just because of its more clearer when zooming in but, however when its in regular picture mode then you can hardly tell a difference in it but, when it zooms in then you can start to tell a difference in it so, therefore exynos for the win folks!!!!
Definitely Exynos in my opinion but some like the Snapdragon more. It's just down to personal preference but at least with this test you can have an idea between the two. Obviously with software updates things could change but I'll have to do a new test if the updates change the cameras at all 👍
Thanks so much for the comparison! Here in Argentina we get the Exynos and everyone talk 💩 about the Exynos but that's what we get here (and there) 🤷♂️. I was worried about the image quality of the Exynos (specially in photos) but from what I can see in your video, the Exynos' images are more detailed than the SD ones, right? Also, I was wondering, I read some comments saying that the SD images were more "natural" and the Exynos' ones more saturated, I guess that's something that you can easily fix with some editing after taking the photo, right? Thanks!
I didnt expect that honestly exynos i better in most situations 🤩 only the video when zoomed in the snapdragon did better overall i prefer the exynos for the first time 😍👍
Do you notice any difference in 4g or wifi reception between exynos and snapdragon? My exynos s21 ultra seems to be consistently worse than my OnePlus 7 pro on both
@@Steven-rg1wh yeah but the performance is throttling to avoid the heat. So the performance in the snapdragon is better. But hear me, I don't think exynos is crap but I just think snapdragon is better also for 3rd party apps like gcam.
What do you think after having watched this? It's personal preference at the end of the day. I prefer the very slightly richer colours and the sharpness of the Exynos but others will like the smoother and maybe less grainy photos of the Snapdragon
The exons wins this and is a stellar performer when there's good to moderate lighting. Where the exons falls flat on it's face is with low light situations. We didn't see any examples of this in this comparison because it was good to moderate lighting for the most part. I own an exynos s21u and was looking to return until the updates last week which improved things somewhat but still a ways to go. The exynos isp in very lowly lit conditions tends to ramp up the noise reduction and compression. It was horrible with launch software where you ended up more often than not with an oil painting. It's better after the updates but still needs improving. It's the one weakspot of the exynos. Granted you're not going to be taking too many shots or videos in such a scenario so many would argue the exynos is the better performer in most cases but the low light issue still needs addressing. Night mode in such conditions just produces pictures that look like they were taken at a different time so no solution. There is a major issue with exynos version's performance in low light which cannot be denied. At launch both my 2yr old ss10+ and even worse eye old s8+ took better shots. It's improved and will hopefully continue to improve but there's no denying the fact that there is a major issue withe camera performance. 888 version might not perform as well in certain cases but it's not horrendous in any case. The exons on the other hand started out with totally unacceptable low light performance. Much improvement still needed in that respect.
Thanks for your comment. I'll be sure to take some indoor low-light shots if I do another comparison when both phones have had their camera software updated 👍
That's a very good question. I don't know. It could be a limitation of the hardware or the software. I've check on the Snapdragon varient too and it's the same.
At 10:07 there is clearly more detail on the snapdragon. Are you sure you understand the term "detail" correctly? Haha it'd be funny to think so. I have a new video coming before the end of the week with the latest March update so it'll be interesting to see how things are now
@@AndroidAddicts im waiting for this one i subbed ;D because really.. the initial videos i saw SD was better now im just confused-_- i had a exynos for a week and gave it away due to heating issues and not enough battery life but im really tempting to try one more time but snapdragon this time
Exynos!
The phones. Should. Performan. The same!
Exynos better
Galaxy S21 Snapdragon 888 win
I'm really hoping that the exynos here is really the exynos phone and not the snapdragon.
The Exynos is definitely the Exynos 👍👌
@@AndroidAddicts wow. Because I own a S21 Ultra Exynos version. Thanks for the reply. 😁😊

Exynos better in low light
Exynos is king
It's weird. Everyone all over the world been getting different results when comes to exynos. Some its better. Some its worse. I am not getting an Exynos until I am sure whats going on. Lol seems like a huge gamble
Exynos bullship
Besides colors not a difference
Except this isn't even the s21 ultra so who cares lol
Everyone who didn't buy an Ultra I imagine
