Just because nobody has said it yet, the visual indicator of a pot or large pig or anything on any game has 0 relevance to how close it is to triggering a feature, it’s simply filling up to make us think it’s close to hitting. If you read the description/rules of any game it will say that it has no bearing on the game

@@TheALdo1901 . I hit a major on this game when the pot closed when it was basically empty and won over 3400 dollars. The Pot size really doesn't matter. I saw a woman hit the grand for 16k at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Race Track about 2 years ago and her pot was only about 1/4 of the way full.
It does not matter. The pot can close at any time. Although you do spend more money, the pot will close more often than the lower bets at the two higher bets. I have closed the pot with essentially nothing in it multiple times, but I do play at either 5.25/5.88 and 8.80/10.00, depending on which Dancing Drums game I play. All the progressive jackpots are pre-determined, and so are the bonuses at different bets. It's just all about being in the right place at the right time!

I was at a casino and played for hours and watched a drum machine with a "full " pot. It never closed ALL day long. The pot can close at any time. It's a gimmick
The pot is for display purposes only. Pots close at random. I have closed many empty pots. I do find the full pots take longer to close.
