This is easily the most gentle hyper coaster I've ever ridden. I would highly recommend this coaster to anyone who wants to experience their first "big, real" coaster.
My favorite ride at Dorney! I was there June 28th and rode this numerous times as always. It may be a simpler layout compared to newer coasters of it's height, but it's really hard to beat as far as excitement goes with the airtime! I've ridden several newer coasters that are as tall or taller and Steel Force is still my favorite. Why? Because the lap bars are simple and don't crush you legs into your seat, making the ride unpleasant! They let you fly out over the hills which is what makes it so much fun. Good video!
curruption018 I've been to Great Adventure before actually but went with a group so I literally only got on one coaster, Great American Scream Machine, which I'm glad I rode since it's gone now. Too bad, that was a good coaster. I really wanted to ride Nitro, I've heard it's an awesome ride. I'm hoping to go there before the end of this summer!
hey that is great! definitely try to get there. nitro is a great ride to experience. lots of hang time and speed. Also there other great rides like kingda ka and,El Toro. also the new drop ride they built this year is amazing. the free fall is unfathomable. hope you can make it there some time.
Haha I'm very familiar with the rides there, especially Kingda Ka and El Toro! I haven't been there since they built El Toro but it looks AWESOME online!! Kingda Ka was there but it was closed! That is a must ride for me! I tried to also get on Rolling Thunder while I was there but it broke down while we were in line so I never rode it and now it's gone. It was in bad shape though.
this ride will always be my favorite ride. i had always been terrified of roller coasters or really any big rides before going on this one. on a class trip to dorney in 8th grade, my friend dragged me onto this thing and i had a panic attack and shut my eyes for the big drop, but afterwards i so enjoyed the adrenaline rush. the next time i was at the park, i went again and i was scared to get on but i still put my hands up and had a great time. it comepletely got me over my fear of all rides and i can’t wait to go back tomorrow to go on every ride. if you are scared of roller coasters but u want to get over it, remember that the worst thing that can happen to you is you won’t like it. but you will be fine. have fun!
Love this ride. It saved my life back in 2009. It was a lightning storm and my dumb ass was on it. Lol long story short ( too late) it sped up and got us off. Lol
It was my first hyper coaster too. I've ridden it hundreds of times since then probably haha but I can remember how nervous I felt going up that lift hill. I had never ridden any coaster that was nearly as tall before but I couldn't wait to get back in line after the first ride! I've ridden several hyper coasters over the years but Steel Force still remains a favorite for me.
JoeyN sameeee once my handle bar was loose so I was so worried but the it was fine 😂 my brother was like so protective he was like trying to hold me in at the big hill
I love rollercoasters but this one was a little too much for me. The actual drop wasn't that bad but when you get to the top, if you look down you its too scary and too high!
Funny Moments and Videos You do know. If you ever rode it, you notice when it gets to the top and you look at all the cars directly in front and under you.
Sofallen I love this coaster, but it makes me panic like a crazed person, even though I love roller coasters. Something about the restraint system makes me panic, as I'm pretty skinny, and I'm constantly worried about flying out of the belt loop, because the bar doesn't come anywhere near to touching me
I rode this coaster in the back seat one time and, let me tell you, that momentum was INSANE!!!!!! The back part of the train just FLEW right over those hills!! 🎢👍😄
As I am from PA and I live approximately 1hr. Away from Dorney Park and have gone there too many times to count. I was there in 1997 for it's first season. I love this coaster. I paid my teenage niece $100.oo to get on this coaster . Her mom put the fear into her because she didn't like rides. Up until she was about 6 or 7 she went on every thing She was tall enough to ride. Then her mom sabotaged her. She was In her late teens before I could bribe her into doing a roller coaster and Steel Force was her first. After the first time I never had to bribe her again to get on any rides again. I knew she would let go of the fear her mom put in her and have a fantastic time. I even bought her the picture of herself. She still has the picture. More than 20yrs later. Moral to this is - parents don't put your fears on to your children because their favorite aunt just might know them well enough to bribe their fears away permanently.
I’m going on for the first time today and I counted 58 seconds for going up the first hill, which is the part that mortifies me, so when I go on I’ll count to 58 to calm myself down then BOOM the ride is fun! I’ll add an update tonight! edit: sorry i didnt for a while, i completely forgot, but it was so fun! i even went on hydra afterward and i had the best day of my life! tysm!
I just went on this with ViperFangirl today!! This was Viper's FIRST hyper!! It personally reminded me of Superman El Ultimo Escape at Six Flags Mexico. We were shouting the 1950s Superman intro the entire time. BTW, if you start singing the Superman TAS theme on the beginning of the lift hill, you finish when you get to the top.
Oh my god!! I went on this ride yesterday for the first time and I was so scared when I got to the top 😂 it's super tall!! But after the ride is finished you feel great 👌
Brought my 9 year old daughter on this last weekend for the first time (more like she insisted we go on lol). I hadn't rode this thing in 14 years, I was skeptical if I could still handle it lol. Was a lot more intense than I remember, of course I was also busy worrying about my daughter and making sure she was ok too. She handled it very well, I was so proud. She has more guts than I did at that age. It took me till age 20 to find the nerve to ride Steel Force lol.
On this coaster with a friend the other day. We finished the big slopes and we’re on the part where the coaster evens out. My friend yells, “I’M ALIVE!” The problem is, we still have the other small slopes left. She doesn’t realize this, and she’s in relief, until we start going down, and she’s screaming.
I went on this when I was 11 for a field trip with my friend who has never been on a roller coaster before, it was so much fun haha but the suspense to get up makes me want to get off lol AND THE DROP DOESNT EVEN LOOK BAD ON THIS, BUT ITS MUCH WORSE.. lol
This was my first rollercoaster ever and well... I ate a pizza and some ice cream like right before this. I fainted and don't remember the ride but the camera took a photo of mine that I will never forget.
I just rode thus rollercoaster yesterday. It was scary going up that first hill then, BAM!! You get tossed to the bottom of the drop right onto another high climb. I had a great time. I hadn't been on any amusement rides in a very long time and I got on all the big coasters. The new rollercoaster they have "Iron Menace" was very very disappointing to both myself and my fiancé. The ride is super short. I think its less than 20 seconds long. The initial drop is the only redeeming part of this ride, oh and the design of the entrance line with all the real steel plant items acquired from Bethlehem Steel really was cool, but the ride is ridiculously too short. I cant believe they spent so much money on a ride that is the shortest I've been on in my entire 55 years. Talon on the other hand is a world class thrill ride. I was surprised how incredibly awesome that coaster is. I loved it. It was a really nice amount of time and you went from being upside down one second to being in a helix the next. There was not second to get oriented , it was so much fun and it was really smooth. Had a great day. It was ridiculously hot though. Spent part of the day in the water park to cool off. The prices for food and beverages were insane. A can of soda 5.69. If you wanted a beer depending on the brand it was anywhere from $14. to $20. and im talking a small beer. A locker $20. parking $30. if you wanted what they called preffered parking, in other words closer to the entrance thats an additional $10. Oh and if you want to uograde to "Fast Pass" thats a paper bracelet that lets you get to the front of the line on most of the major rides then its an additional $55. That is absolutely crazy. Yet i have to say Dorney is the cleanest and most safest theme park i ever been to. It has a very nice vibe to the place.
id been to dorney park twice before and was always too scared to ride this. went with my bf yesterday and he got me to ride it for the first time. probably my favorite coaster! made me feel like i was flying. ended up riding it multiple times in a row before they closed.
I cried the first time I got on this ride. The first 2 drops I was like WHEEE!!! Then the little caterpillar part made me feel like I was gonna fall off.. so I started crying..
This ride is almost identical to "The Mamba" at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City. Three differences: 1. On the Mamba the track after the helix runs through the supports and is one of the best headchopper momonts of any ride I have ever been on. They get closer and closer and WILL have you shrinking in your seat the first time you ride. 2. The Mamba does not have the tunnels. I dont think they add anything myself. They are more of a distraction from the ride than anything. 3. The Mamba is a little smoother than Steele Force. Both are amazing rides. Hard to beat for pure adrenaline and simple rush.
I remember when I went on this when it first opened they had signs on the way up saying you are now higher then the pyramids, you are now higher then the Eifel tower, etc...looks like they got rid of those
It's actually quite smooth, the transition are pretty good for a Morgan. Like JamesC said, there is lots of floater. And by the way JamesC this is TopNotchCoasters
Is this coaster hand welded and shaped and stuff? Or was it designed on a computer and cut precision smooth. It looks like it has the hand bent welded thing like magnum, but it's from 1997.
The first time I went on this ride I nearly shit myself. For some safety reason, they stopped us when we got to the top for about 3 minutes. Scariest 3 minutes of my life. The ride itself is really fun though :D.
Yesterday was my first time riding a roller coaster and I had to ride steel force and I did cry and scream it was one of the most traumatised experiences of my life
I love it . But only thing that sucks is the last set of brakes trows you pretty hard . And it would be cool if they themed the tunnels instead of just basic metal
How was it when you’re going down the hill? I haven’t been to Dorney in like 4-5 years and I didn’t go on Steel Force. Next time I go I want to, but I’m terrified of heights so...🤷♂️😂
I was on this ride when I was 9 years old and I one hand behind me holding on to the front my dads seat and one hand below the seat belt and my feet pushed against the front of my cart and I was screaming as loud as I could and I started crying at the end of the ride.
This is my fav coaster ever it was raining so there were no lines that day however when it’s pouring I don’t recommend this ride we all had our faces covered I wish I could have seen that photo of everyone with there shirts and I over our faces but they didn’t have the photo place open at the time that would have been hilarious to see , the pouring rain felt like rocks being thrown at your face lol 10/10 best coaster I’ve ever went on!
Randomness 19 hahaha my 6 year old cousin,8 year old cousin, and 7 year old brother and 10 yo me went on it and the 6 year old cried,7 year old screamed,8 year old grinned like crazy, and I was just sitting there lmao
thats called blacking out on a coaster its a quite common experience for coasters that have intense elements on the ride think of do-dodonpa in fuji-q in Japan people say they black out because of its intensity
@@faintinggoat7964 he's describing more of a gray out. A black out is when you fully go unconscious, a gray out is when you start to go unconscious, but you don't fully pass out.
Hello, could I use this video in a video I wanted to upload on youtube? I'm sorry I don't have much money but if I do get any money out of the video I will definitely share some of the earnings with you.
Omg at the start of the hill, when you were just leaving the station I saw myself on the sidewalk!! I was one of the girls in the blue tee shirts!! My cousin was with me too!!
This is easily the most gentle hyper coaster I've ever ridden. I would highly recommend this coaster to anyone who wants to experience their first "big, real" coaster.
It was my first when i was 8, so much fun.
@@ka1ulah same I was 8 at the time and it was like the best experience of my life
I rode this when i was around 8. My first “real” rollercoaster ever 😭😭
This was my first BIG coaster so yea I highly recommended it, it’s really good
I agree, It gives you a perfect taste to build your confidence for the other coasters.
this was my first ever rollercoaster i ever road back in 8th grade in 1998. this was the coaster that started my love for coasters

You should go to six flags new jersy and ride nitro if you want to feel great air time and comfortability
curruption018 I've been to Great Adventure before actually but went with a group so I literally only got on one coaster, Great American Scream Machine, which I'm glad I rode since it's gone now. You went on it during a lightning storm yet it saved your life? Kind of curious to see how that works...
Jim Faust r u related to Jason Faust
Wouldn’t they close the park?
I would never get on a rollercoaster like that even during a storm I mean that is dangerous.
@@bleach9051 no they just close all the rides and you still can stay in the park. I've been there lots of times during a storm.
First hyper coaster I’ve ever been on and absolutely loved it! If you go to dorney park this is a must ride, and the air time on this is amazing!

its one of the top roller coasters in the world, its known for I think that most amount of airtime in a coaster
@@Spartanshaq777 Now I think either Steel Vengeance or Shivering Timbers holds that record depending on your threshold for airtime

I love it . But only thing that sucks is the last set of brakes trows you pretty hard . And it would be cool if they themed the tunnels instead of just basic metal
I rode this ride from the back seat one time and it kicked the shit out of me!! ❤❤
I went to Dorney Park Today and went on steel force for the first time and I loved it
How was it when you’re going down the hill? I haven’t been to Dorney in like 4-5 years and I didn’t go on Steel Force. Next time I go I want to, but I’m terrified of heights so...🤷♂️😂
Going down the hill makes you really nervous but after that it is fine
Try to find room in the back seat on this ride! Amazing! Steel Force is a classic!!
The Hydra is my favorite at that amazing park!
hydra is good but steel is like way better in my pov
talon is my favorite by far
This is the second Morgan hyper coaster to be built!
During a camp trip I wanted to ride this thing all day - I made it to 11 rides before I felt sick. Great times.
I was on this ride when I was 9 years old and I one hand behind me holding on to the front my dads seat and one hand below the seat belt and my feet pushed against the front of my cart and I was screaming as loud as I could and I started crying at the end of the ride.
Me too but i cried on the actual ride and not at the end
Isn’t there a part that goes right next to the log flume?
Never mind I found it 1:44

Yes
This is my fav coaster ever it was raining so there were no lines that day however when it’s pouring I don’t recommend this ride we all had our faces covered I wish I could have seen that photo of everyone with there shirts and I over our faces but they didn’t have the photo place open at the time that would have been hilarious to see , the pouring rain felt like rocks being thrown at your face lol 10/10 best coaster I’ve ever went on!
after my drop experience with Skyrush down at Hershey, i don’t know if i could do this one
This drop isn’t as bad
i might consider then.
I don't like roller coasters but still loved this one
I died on this ride today 🤣
I don’t which came first, but I reminds me of Magnum XL at Cedar Point.
Joseph Muir yeah magnum came first
😲 that was great 👍
1:37 on the left. It's the footers of the former ride Hercules(Hurt-Your-Knees)
Joshua Ortiz Well, it’s good when bad rides go
These Morgan hypers are great
Went here the same year, i was seven, and i pissed my self, thinkin about riding it again soon
Randomness 19 hahaha my 6 year old cousin,8 year old cousin, and 7 year old brother and 10 yo me went on it and the 6 year old cried,7 year old screamed,8 year old grinned like crazy, and I was just sitting there lmao
that looks so much fun I might try it when I go to dorney park for my band trip next Friday the 19th of may
riding in the front of this, i had black spots in my vision thats how fast we were going
thats called blacking out on a coaster its a quite common experience for coasters that have intense elements on the ride think of do-dodonpa in fuji-q in Japan people say they black out because of its intensity
@@faintinggoat7964 he's describing more of a gray out. A black out is when you fully go unconscious, a gray out is when you start to go unconscious, but you don't fully pass out.
My favorite part about this ride is the reatraints, they don't go down far and you can get some crazy airtime
I was on Steel Force when I went to Dorney, PA. I live in Plainview, NY
Hello, could I use this video in a video I wanted to upload on youtube? I'm sorry I don't have much money but if I do get any money out of the video I will definitely share some of the earnings with you.
I'm sorry it doesn't tell me who liked the comment, if that was you then does that 'like' mean I can use the video?
I almost died. I can't believe I got on this lol.
Just Bought a season pass for 2022 can't wait!!!!!
Omg at the start of the hill, when you were just leaving the station I saw myself on the sidewalk!! I was one of the girls in the blue tee shirts!! My cousin was with me too!!
I’m going here on August 27th (like a week) I’m definitely going on this! Im a roller coaster freak
