Kayaking in England. Ardingly Reservoir, West Sussex

- Hey Everyone,
After my August's visit to English Channel, I had an accident - I suffered from heat exhaustion with 1 symptom of a heat stroke.
It weakened me by about 90%, I could barely walk. 2 weeks later, while recovering, I was missing my paddling trips so much that I decided to still give it a go. I chose to revisit Ardingly Reservoir - the place where I started my channel with an initial camera test.
You can find that video at the very end of my list.
Still weak and slow, I paddled carefully around the reservoir.
This time I'm here to record a proper Waterway Highlight for you so that if you wish to ever visit Ardingly, you will know what to expect.
The local activity center has a SUPboard and kayak hire. Some groups of kids also visit it for sailing lessons.
You are also welcome to bring your own equipment. A single kayak would cost you 10£ for an entire day (9:00 till 17:00) while a tandem is charged 15£. A sit on top kayak is preferred as it's easier to remount just in case. However, if you speak with them kindly, an Itiwit x500 Strenfit will also be allowed. 😉
Thank you for peeking in and please, enjoy!
It's good to be alive!
Let's go paddling!

Ardingly seems lovely. Looks so much nicer to paddle than my local resovoir.
It is even nicer when water is not down. If you go to the very last video on the list, there is my first camera test done at Ardingly. On a good day it's really great to be out there 😊.
Do you need to pay a launch fee from the activity centre or can you launch elsewhere
Ardingly isn't far from me! How do you find this kayak? I'm considering replacing my paddle board and want something sturdy
I'm nearly local to Ardingly - I live in Crawley.
I chose the Strenfit kayak after months of research and I can't be happier with it. 👍
It's a solid performer that allows me to learn different techniques. 😄
In fact, I'm happy with all kayaks I currently own. 😁
