Oh lord. THANK. YOU. for doing a lag test that isn't just "I noticed this". You actually held the controller up, tapped the button, and let us SEE the actual lag. That is unbelievably critical when it comes to the question of "can I use this for gaming", and it astounds me that no one else thought to do this. That being said, it does look like there's lag, but it's not *massive* and could probably be very easy to adapt to. I just wouldn't recommend anything requiring twitch reflexes, but all other stuff should work just fine, like your Zeldas, Marios, Sonics, Final Fantasies, etc. Just no pro COD/Fortnite/FPS playing. :) I'm also a very casual gamer, so this would be nothing for me and looks very manageable.
As for me, the lag is clearly noticeable, but a brain can get used to it. You need to push buttons just a moment before you should. It's ok for party playing on big screen with few players or so (big screen make difference in this case). For everyday playing, it's a bit irritating.

This one, or the Nebula Capsule Laser 3? Capsule is smaller, lighter, but also only 300 lumens…. What’s your take?
thx for the lag test 13:40. not many reviewers do this. I clearly see some lag, probably about 100ms+ and I don't think this projector has game-mode (basically a mode which removes image processing to reduce input lag). image quality is great, so great for watching movies for sure.

So I've been thinking about buying this projector but I saw the lumens where on the low side. Being a laser vs a lamp I guess it's still better. My Epson 2250 lamp projector does twice the lumens with no HDR. I was even considering Epson's lower laser models but learned that they're not even 1080p native. My budget is $1000 or less. While there are other good laser projectors out there like Ankers Nebula everything cost more than $1000 on up. Being the holiday's I can get it at $800. Sounds like a deal. There is a small filter on the bottom. Appreciate the detailed unboxing , inspection, video menus and video footage. Everyone else was just saying it was great with real short actual video footage. This will be my third projector from Epson and I like to upgrade, thanks again!
Being a portable projector and very handy to carry during travels, i feel the only thing missing in this projector is either an inbuilt battery or an usb type C charging port through a power bank. This would have made this projector perfect
This is the first projector aside from Xiaomi that catches my attention. I didn't even know it existed, thanks for the video! For the same price, I would still go with Xiaomi, Xgimi or Fengmi though, only because of the better brightness. Epson is going the right way, it just needs to cut down the price!

The mijia alpd 3.0 long throw version please. There is plenty of reviews on the ultra short throw already but not enough of the long throw. A comparison of that one and and this epson would be great
Do you have a video that shows the whole setup process step by step from connecting to the wifi, Google app, Bluetooth, and connecting an Amazon firestick and video game consoles etc. All the videos I've seen seem to just skip the setup process and just seem to already be connected and watching movies and playing games etc. Also how do you get that side screen to choose between the resolution you want and what are the best settings to ensure you have the best setup like should you choose normal or fast etc.
Have you reviewed the xgimi horizon yet? I’m curious on how it stack up the epson. There at a similar price point and I think it would be a close review. My purchase would be between these two but I can’t find a comparison review yet
I'm curious as well. The Xgimi looks good and it has ethernet. I want to use this in the backyard and wifi gets weaker outdoors. The epson has no ethernet capability so that is a downer for me.
Awesome video! Have you seen the wemax vogue pro? Torn between these two models. Same profile, android apps, but the wemax has 2x10w speakers, 1600ansi lumen. I cant speak for the reputation because epson seems to win there. I keep going back and forth between which one I should get 😩
(5:32) I find it interesting that Epson just left in the AOSP volume OSD from Android for tablets, unlike Xiaomi who cared enough to slim it down on the Mi Box series to only show media volume. Honestly, a newer Android release being provided is a great improvement over the Canon Rayo which, last I checked, shipped with the tablet version of Android 4.4 without GMS certification, but with a custom Canon shell.

I have not been able to reproduce a pendrive with movies or pictures, epson only displays the usb, total capacity and available space, but no folders, no files. unable to reproduce nothing. system suggest you to format this pendrive with epson, I did so, but then Computer do not recognice this drive. May be usb is only a power supply for a Chromecast ??. Did you faced with this problem, or did it work for you ? I will appreciate if you can help ¡¡

I was wondering what would happen if you could get 2 of these projectors and run them both projecting the same synchronised image in the exact same spot, would the image be brighter ? Perhaps the future of full daylight projection is a unit with 2 powerful projectors built in, perfectly synchronised to project a brighter image that would be fully viewable in any light setting I’m sure they’ll send you another unit to find out.
Yes, they do this, it's called projector stacking, there are tutorials on youtube on how to synchronise images. You use the hdmi splitter and you project very detailed grid and synchronise projectors manualy. Good luck ;)
What's the shortest distance you can get it from the wall? (I could find the throw distance on the epson site.)I don't think my wall has 100inch space. I really like the uts ones but they are way beyond my budget. Does the audio override fan noise? Or it might be annoying on quiet scenes if you are sitting too close to the projector?
I have an ef-11 n I get about 100 inch at 4 meters. Fan noise is not bad at all, will totally disappear once sound is on. I'd look into an older Epson short throw if I were you. Probably won't be laser but it should still have the 3lcd system which cant be beat.👍

You can't cast Netflix unless Netflix is installed. The input lag is noticeable. Might be okay for certain games but it's not cool either. I'm returning mine.
Laser as a light source perhaps? As oppose to lamp or LED? And LCD here is not a light source, but matrix that passes and blocks light forming image. LCD is oppose to DLP (array of mirrors).

The lag looked pretty bad if your playing competitively. Can you confirm if online gameplay is good like Call of Duty or Gears of War?

I’m in the same boat, don’t know what one is better. I like the idea of 1600 lumens but it’s LED not laser.
