I know you got frustrated by the resin but honestly it turned out so cool, the bubbles/ripples and the slight green colour really make it look like a tropical ocean and add a ton of movement. Sometimes happy accidents sneak up on us, amazing end result!
What a nice diorama. Don't fret too much about the ripples and bubbles in the water. I think they add to the dramatic scenery. I don't know what you originally had in mind, but it turned out fine. It's all a journey and we learn from mistakes. The importance is to not give up. Kudos to your wife for pushing you to move forward. Be proud of what you achieved :)
With all the music and how good the diorama came out, i want a full backstory behind it. Like, why is he reaching up, did he get stuck or did the rocks move around it over the years. What events lead up to this, how long has it been there, what happened to the pilot. It would be so cool
I have a theory there was an avalance and it made unicorn gundam stuck. the exit way for the pilot was broken so the pilot reached up trying to escape breathing for air then dies leaving the awesome unicorn gundam to rust
Maybe Banagher’s spirit is now part of the nt-D frame the same way the Phenex had the spirit of its pilot in it as well. Maybe Banagher was unlucky and got shot down, the impact of the crash killed him and the Unicorn was lost in the waters. Later, Banagher’s ghost would inhabit the nt-D’s psycho frame and tries to escape.
I’ll give you one ten years after unicorns creation it was left by the pilot and after the war no one bothered searching for it and the dude on the boat that found it came during a time of peace staring at what almost looked like a fallen god
Nah considering lore wise the Unicorn was sealed, it would make more sense if the Unicorn was like this because someone else used it. Something like the unicorn was rediscovered accidentally by someone long after Anaheim Electronics have fallen from being the monopoly in the arms market, it was found when someone was exploring around the dense forests of Earth when they came across a weird looking metal structure, they managed to break in due to the aged locks, and ended up finding the Unicorn. The person would go into the facility, but as he was exploring the facility, he accidentally triggered the age old automated defence turrets made to deter intruders from trying to obtain the Unicron, he got shot in a bad spot but managed to accidentally open the cockpit and he climbed in there for safety, the man didn’t medical supplies that could save him at that time, so he tried to use his limited knowledge of mobile suits to leave the place and fly to the nearest hospital. However, the wound was too severe and he ended up crash landing at the cliff we see there, as he was dying, he attempted to reach out for help before succumbing to his wounds, dying inside the Gundam. The Gundam would then be stuck in this position as it slowly merged with the environment around it.
I could imagine that the water is boiling because of the energy the psycho frame still has within it. The diorama looks perfect as it is, u did a great job.
im not sure if u will read this but this really inspired me to make my very first diorama for gbwc and i won in singapore as the under 20 champion so from the bottom of my heart thank you for your guide on how to do this
I'm still relatively new to gunpla, but as I keep working at it I want to try new things, including a diorama at some point featuring the 08th team. This really gave me some ideas and techniques to experiment with when I finally give a crack at it. The final product looks great and I'd love to see more of your stuff. Keep up the good work.
honestly the bubbled resin is gorgeous! it really gives the impression of the water being over some kind of cave. its like the rock is cracking, water is seeping through and air is bubbling up. it adds this subtle movement and sense of emergency to an otherwise very tranquil, contemplative scene that is very understated and overall adds a lot to the storytelling here. i can picture all the buried zakus under there
isnt it great that when youre significant other shows interest in your hobby/work and comes in to help you when you feel like you messed up, and gives you ideas on how to fix the situation? you did an amazing job on it! as bob ross once said, happy little accidents!
I was wondering if the Gundam was going to stay frozen like that in time at the very begining of the video... I am glad that is how it turned out in the end.
it does looking good, even you have mistake made. but it give well living ocean type, i did like that also. maybe nice touch? just one eye in glowing paint colour for effect? that still bit active?
Damn! That turned out very nice! This made me subscribe to your channel man! Newbie Gunpla builder here. I started sometime back during the pandemic. And I wish I had discovered Gunpla way before then. Can’t wait to explore your channel for more inspiration to go and try more with my Gunpla building.
uish kalau ada story ke cerita disebalik curse ni mesti lagi best!,backstory of how the gundam got the curse of something, would love to read that!,whatever it is,great great masterpiece!,love it1,salam dari perak uwu
I know you made this quite long ago but a way you couldve saved it after the resin started bubbling up would be if you opened the boosters on the back of its legs so it looked like it was boosting out of the ground and heating up the water hence the bubbles
really enjoy the idea , didnt think the resin cast was a huge deal but i have one question, why did you decide to put so many rocks on his left leg? at first ithought it was the perfect amount however after the second application of stones and stuff it turned it from a mech stuck and jammed on a beach to a mech morphing into stone..
Hi EA Gunpla I love your work. But could you explain what were you trying to convey? I don't really understand how adding more weathering and deepening the state of decay would help fix the bubbling resins? What was the original idea had the resin not get ruined? Thanks.
A symbol of hope that stands through all of time. No matter how many years pass mankind will look up at the rusted hull of that hornéd stead and see that even at the end he still reached unto the future.
Looks as if the rust is peeling away as it gets out making it look like the curse is even worse than people thought but as soon as it reaches destroy mode all this rust on the robot will just explode off or burn away
The boiling / heated epoxy can catch a lot of people off guard. I believe there is a brand that doesnt create heat when curing. I'll have to check Luke Towans or High eye videos what epoxy they use they've mentioned it doesn't get too hot. I think its called Jdiction epoxy - Crystal clear
I skipped ahead a little, I thought the bubbles were intentional and a good detail. It's a cliffside, where the wave would constantly be crashing, meaning there would be lots of bubbles and stuff floating up as it's constantly getting churned in.
I know you got frustrated by the resin but honestly it turned out so cool, the bubbles/ripples and the slight green colour really make it look like a tropical ocean and add a ton of movement. Sometimes happy accidents sneak up on us, amazing end result!

I like it when hobbyists don’t talk and put really calming music in the background, there is just something about it

and the children yelling in the background really adds quite a touch.
not a good one, but a touch
The fisherman is such a nice touch to show the scale of the unicorn
Yes! And it brings life to the diorama ☺️

But have you ever seen bubbles forming around seaweeds or the ocean floor and called it “dramatic scenery”

Shout out to your wife! Always nice to have somebody that has your back when you've lost all hope
Those holes and rips on the resin made it still look like realistic water! It’s still really good on how it looks like with the holes and rips
I could imagine that the water is boiling because of the energy the psycho frame still has within it.
The diorama looks perfect as it is, u did a great job.
I love this piece since it tells such a story like "one last reach for the stars"
I see it as more of a "reaching out again" as more of pilot trying to get it out after being brought on the boat
You know seeing this diorama I cannot help but wonder that instead of the Turn-A Gundam being used centuries later it is actually the Unicorn Gundam.
I sense sadness and yet serenity from the project. True art isn't just seen, it's felt. Thank you for this.
人の手でも壊せなかったユニコーンを自然が終わらせたの儚くて良いですな
The way you made the rocks out of foam was really cool, I'm taking notes

I'm 3 years late, but I do like the bubbles. I know it's a mistake, but I think it gives a good underwater volcanic activity vibe
Get in that cockpit and fire up the NTD and it'll prolly run like new lmao
Amazing work once again!! I love Unicorn so this was a real treat for me!
Every time i watch your video you never fail to amaze me.

I love the amount of detail put into the gundam, it’s just beautiful
i'm sorry but i laughed out loud when you swore and threw it on the desk after seeing bubbles! lmfaooo.
but its still GREAT!
This is pure art :'D the mix of music and the diorama and it's kinda sad message give me a weird but warm feeling you are a real artist
Love how his work station is growing over time. More paints more products. Awesome man congrats!
I was wondering if the Gundam was going to stay frozen like that in time at the very begining of the video... I am glad that is how it turned out in the end.
Wonderful, it was difficult to go on but you were right not to give up, the final result is awesome!
You are the first person EVER that I've seen to get straight to the point
Your videos are the only way I can get my little brother to eat sometimes. Least we both enjoy them!
That turned out really good! Glad you saved it!
Wohh , I really like this unicorn .
That look like very awesome.
Even with the crack and hole at the resin it still looks like a sea water and looks pretty dope
i'm literally just getting into dioramas and will start this coming weekend! this video was of great help! hoping to be as good as you one day :)
Those bubbles would've made me quit. Good job finishing it, came out better than I expected
Please for the love of god do another one, you were able to save it and it looks beautiful !

I hope you build more Gundam diorama's.

Making diorama is definitely a whole another level of modelling. So good bro, awesome diorama!

Around 2 weeks! 😁
Is it possible for you to do the destroy mode for the unicorn gundam as well?
Awesome! Maybe u should do a Godzilla one or something idk lol
