Nowhere in any text does America’s red cross medic doctrine says “treat only allies”. For soviets, yeah. For japanese, yeah. Most Americans, British, and Germans were extremely noble and respectful of the Geneva Convention and treatment of injured. The German S.S. however did not abide by those rules. These two understood the value of lives. They may be the enemy, but what makes you any different from them? You're both wearing uniforms, being told what to do, and fighting desperately for something you want to protect. But by the end of the day, no matter which side you're on, you all have families, parents, and loved ones waiting for you to return. These two understood that very well and knew the pain of knowing what it's like if the person you care about doesn't come back. We're all human afterall. War is not as fun as what you experience in games. It's literal hell for both sides.
Anyone who thinks that way wouldn't be out to kill one another.... unless there is something beyond and above what you said that justifies flushing all that honour bullshit down the toilet.
You can create a soldier so strong that he can fight an army by himself, but who takes care of this venerable soldier when he inevitably gets injured enough he cannot fight, the Medics are the strongest not in strength or physical stature, but by their sheer willpower and the determination to save whoever and whatever they can, even going as far as to literally carry a wounded soldier back themselves. That is true humanity, able to see past the uniform and see that though they may be of a different ideology and race, they're the same as you, just people fighting for what they believe in
Experimenting with 3D graphics looks cool and all, but I personally preferred the 2D graphics. Great video anyways! And showing the church in real life was a great choice.
I think if he improves his 3d animations and the quality of the setting it'll be good. There's some stuttering and really stiff looking models in this video. @@akeiai exactly. don't forget how, unlike the allies, German submarines at the start of the war always saved the enemy crews of the ships they sank, and sometimes they even sent distress calls to Allied forces. @@filu7043 as did all the others don't be stupid. Aerial bombardment was not regulatet after ww1, since everyone wanted to be able to use the new possibilities bombers offered. Ignore these guys, they need to get over themselves. Hacksaw was done because while about a medic (who was *deeply religous* you two), said medic was in a lot of action. This story doesn't have enough action to be a movie, but an HBO mini-series might be suited, especially as while there's little action going on there's plenty of time passing, so making a show of it would do the story more justice.
@@cptTK421 Hacksaw was a true story and it is considered a modern war movie masterpiece. But there is plenty of space for a movie around this story. Just like Titanic. The only fact was the sinking and a few details. Ford vs Ferrari also has a similar situation. Creative licence, training and combat situations can be developed.
This is an angelic and heroic act of the two young men who bravely save lives regardless of who they are. God blesses them. All I can say to them may their soul truly rest in the hands of God.
Wow! I was astounded by the story of these two brave medics who treated their comrades as well as their foes. And the cat at the end of the video is so adorable.
This is the kind of story that needs to be made into a Hollywood movie along the lines of Hacksaw Ridge. It's rare indeed to find acts of compassion in amongst the chaos and brutality of war
Im proud of you *Yarnhub* your histories always make me look the "Good" part of the war. (The part not so dark, violent and cruel) And also the new animation style looks really good! You are really improving and as always I wish you the Best!
I swear I wouldn't have the mercy to stop inflicting damage on my enemies in a middle of a battle, much less the courage showed by both combatants, Americans and Germans alike. Are you sure these two aren't Angels of Mercy sent by God Himself? Once again, Yarnhub, you're making it a habit of making this old veteran's eyes swell up. Thank you!
to be fair, the Japaneses didn't sign the Geneva Convention, and neither the Soviets, so they're not bounded by that rule. Still a dick move to shoot a medic whose only job in the battles is to save lives.
Search up Shunsaku Kudo risking his ship to rescue allied survivors and Saburo Sakai sparing a C47 despite orders to shoot everything down. As for the Soviet act of kindness, look up Nikolay Masalov who put his life at risk to save a German girl. That's not to justify the systemic brutality instilled by either government and military leadership, but soldiers are humans which aren't inherently evil.
When you are in a church, with injured soldiers from both sides treating everyone equally with no weapons in the building. And a mortar round comes in, not exploding. You know that someone was watching over you

Most Americans, British, and Germans were extremely noble and respectful of the Geneva Convention and treatment of injured.

Agreed
Unless you were Japanese.
Anyone who thinks that way wouldn't be out to kill one another.... unless there is something beyond and above what you said that justifies flushing all that honour bullshit down the toilet.
Truly, angels. Not all warheroes carry guns.
Some war heroes carry something more powerful. In their heart.
Deputy_ Commander indeed they do.
The story of WWII U.S. Medic Desmond Doss is amazing! This man was truly heroic in the face of death!
That is true humanity, able to see past the uniform and see that though they may be of a different ideology and race, they're the same as you, just people fighting for what they believe in
Medics still carry guns jsjs
Experimenting with 3D graphics looks cool and all, but I personally preferred the 2D graphics. Great video anyways! And showing the church in real life was a great choice.

I think if he improves his 3d animations and the quality of the setting it'll be good. There's some stuttering and really stiff looking models in this video. Why isn't Hollywood making a movie out of this?
Because it would have to involve God and Hollywood is Godless.
Hollywood is a Satanic playground, any thing openly proclaiming Jesus love is banned.
They would never show Germans in a good light.

Geneva Convention: Exist*
Japanese Infantry: It's free real estate!
to be fair, the Japaneses didn't sign the Geneva Convention, and neither the Soviets, so they're not bounded by that rule.
