This is why I love the WoodedBeardsman's channel. He does a wide variety of outdoor/hunting and fishing things. You will never be bored of the same stuff, he does it all. One thing he also does very well is explaining to you and teaching you what he is doing. so it's a fun page to learn from also. Tight lines guy's! Awesome video buddy!
Full stop, more fishing is always welcome. Let’s see more of your bass jig Challenge for trout, I think it would be interesting how well they work. Two 👍🏼for Scott.
Glad to see another member has been added to the tribe WB. Love seeing Scott out with you in the wilds. Scott good on ya for trying out the fish brain. Can't wait to see the next fishing expedition! Fullstop each time everytime!
I am allergic to stinging nettles, but have found a natural antidote, and it works great. One variety is Jewelweed and grows near water, and the other is called Touch Me Not, and grows in the woods. Crush, and rub on affected area. It takes a while to work, so keep rubbing. I have a large patch of Ostrich ferns in my yard, and have had two meals of fiddle heads this year.
Full stop! Good job guys! I would like to see some more of Scott's secret fishing holes. I received my Woodobo seasoning in the mail 2 days ago & I am gonna try it on a mess of whole large fried bluegills this evening. I tasted it & can't wait to season the fish for my family tonight.
This was a really fun watch, would love to see more from Scott! I'm not put off by the potatoes or oil or anything but I would definitely like to see a couple pure survival style videos like this. Especially interesting to me as a fisherman what kind of greens you can get from the forest too!
Eating "Seagulls" would be supremo!!. And then making Seagulll fried rice the next morning would be awesome with the leftover's. And of course using Seagull egg in the fried rice. And Canadian wild onion's. Making Seagull head cheese would also be extremely interesting.
I would love to see Scott show you his secret fishing holes. Fish over fire is always good, leeks, nettles and fiddleheads look interesting. Full stop. 👍
Haha! Subscriber Scott was digging around the base of the tree and pulled out ... what?! I was expecting something completely different. He pulled out a Plan B. Thinking ahead is true survival. Great video. More vids with Subscriber Scott and fishing. Full stop.
@@TheWoodedBeardsman I guarantee that you will catch more of those native brook trout using small worms than you will with big worms or nightcrawlers. That is why you lost that trout at 6:30 in your video. Those trout grab the worm and immediately run back into cover to eat the worm. If you have a really small worm on your size number 6 hook, you can set the hook as soon as they start running with it because it will fit in their mouth. That fish had part of the worm in it's mouth, but not the hook. Your video just showed that the fish were eating small mealworms and or maggots. That is what they are used to eating, not large nightcrawlers. I normally like using something bigger than mealworms, but they will also work very well. The best worms to use for brook trout are the small mud worms that you can dig in a garden. I would not use night crawlers for brook trout if you paid me to use them. You can keep using big fat worms, but I prefer to catch lots of brook trout. Either way good luck out there and keep the videos coming.
I have never found a large patch of wild leeks. I planted some in my backyard 20 years ago, and only pick the greens. I let them go to seed, and my patch is over twice the size it was.
Good video boys. I liked the full meal foraging.... even if a domestic potato was involved. :) I think Scott definitely brings value to the table! The final product looked delicious!
This is a great challenge. I love challenges like this. You do great when it comes to living off the land but u love joe robinette abd id love it youd tag him for this challenge too. 😆
For small water with brush, a very very long rod and no casting can help. Just three feet of line off the tip with some bait, and drop it in the holes. No casting. Just fish.
Hey wooded beardsman love the videos I’m 17 and made my first video and was wondering when this is all over if you wanted to go to lydon fish pond and have fun and make a couple videos it would make my world
His secret hole and your secret hole and showing each others to each other!.... Chris soooo funny you tube gold you can't write /script that shit!..... Love what you do, your way of life hunting living of the land oh and the maple syrup lot of work but you reap what you soe. Keep going wooded beardsman no matter what the haters say!... We followers hard core followers will be here to the end!......
Look under the rocks for those worm things. If you find any, use them for bait. Incidentally, this is the second video where I have seen the Wooded Beardsman catch a fish.
Most fern species resemble fiddle heads early in their development. Here innthe ADKs we have alot of cinnamon fern- which tastes nasty and makes most people feel quite sick. Looks like fuzzy fiddleheads

I was really hoping for some cattail, but they were not even up at all!! Glad to have a big fat tuber though.
You should use much smaller worms when fishing for Native brook trout. Nightcrawlers do not work very well.
Ah man, I love putting a big fat one on! The big ones are super aggressive.
@@TheWoodedBeardsman

Canadian stinging nettles look surprisingly different from British stinging nettles.
Interesting!
