Flames can finish 22nd and give Habs the 11th overall pick:)
This is going to age unbelievably well, Habs are cooking in this rebuild
How many of you expert said that Hughes and Gorton's choice for Slavkovsky was questionnable? he proved a lot of recruiters wrong
not sure which was is worse, this or actually being locked up
As a Bruins fan, damn you Habs
thx. You got LeTourneau, & have been developing a few of our kids. Anybody but Toronto, until Canadian telecoms offer more than clips for its other teams.
Unlike Ottawas prospects the Habs have character.
Better to lock him up at that number now than have to pay him $11 or $12m in 5 years from now when we want to be competing for Stanley Cups
It was nice until he was paid to move on to Calgary. lol That team sucks, taxpayers must buy their new arena, & Playboy ain't paying 1 of its ladies to show any extras. That last thing could change, due to healthy competition.
Overpaid
The kid hasn't really proved anything. This could age very poorly
Montreal fans remind me of that scene in the simpsons where Homer and Bart and chasing the pig they want to bbq and saying "it's still good....it's still good". 😂
It's just a little airborne, its still good, ITS STILL GOOD!
Its gone, Dad..
I know :(
he's been good for 3 months out of 2 years and they gave him 7.6 lol
zero goals in 8 games at the world championships a few weeks ago as well, horrible deal 😂
@@nadaduo1765 he’s not a pure goal scorer you absolute moron.. crazy how dumb people can be 😂
Reading your comments clears everything up. You’re an idiot ! Saying patty kane is wasting a year is ducking comical… first ballot hall of famer with three cups.. there’s no way you’re older than 16. nobody can be this dumb 😂
@@nadaduo1765 What would make it a better deal, in your opinion? It seems like a pretty good gamble, considering that next season he's still paid a rookie salary. If he becomes PPG next season, you would have to pay him close to 10 mil for the same contract length.
Unless you believe it's more likely that a first overall, 20 years old player regresses than improve. Which would be a rather unique stance. But, it's the Internet ^^
7.6 mill for 50 points what yall east coasters smoking this as bad as tanev contract
Yes a 20 year old first overall pick will never get better...
Once he found his groove on the first line for the 2nd half of the season he was just under 1 point per game. Also the contract starts in 25-26, slav still has his last year of elc contract next season.
Contract only starts in 2025-2026, he won't be a 50 point guy at that point. Contract is a steal, anyone with a brain understand it.
as a tampa guy that likes to see montreal do well when they can.
am pleased for juraj and for those people that believed in him from the get-go. he really turned it around this past season. you could see it with his body language and confidence.
juraj has the potential to be a solid power forward with a scoring touch, as he gains more experience in the NHL.
GM hughes imo is doing an excellent job with locking down the core talents at reasonable labor costs. really liked the draft picks of demidov and hage as well. 👍🏼
