- I'm still struggling with glitches and errors when rendering my video edits. Im sure this could be fixed with the use of a laptop, but just like my gear, I value the ease and portability of doing it all on my phone too much to change!
A bit unfocused and rambling, I jam, play, and talk about the korg ER1. Its one of my favorite drum machines and has just enough flexibility to be considered a groovebox.
The ER-1 has a distinctive sound to it. is simple enough to start making music fast. But also has just enough features to inspire. the machine just oozes techno and truly is a perfect techno setup center piece.

Deffinently is a special machine. The mk2 metal panel has this beautiful, industrial, and serious look to it that I love. Its like a toy for professionals! Has LOTS of limitations, but maintains a unique sonic character and workflow that makes it timeless. Sort of an instant classic in my opinion.
Is there a huge difference between the er1 mk1 and mk2?
No, almost no differance as far as I know. The only notiable difference is the ring modulator on synth voices 1 and 2 is now a cross mod. Other then that, mk2 is an all metal housing and very attractive and pleasant to touch. The cross mod adds alot of sonic fm range, but I rarely find much of its sounds usable and almost none of it usable in a live setting.
