Maybe ur the one trolling? Cuz u must have amnesia.

Hey girls, as an Oromo myself we have a varied and vibrant addaa clothing/dress to chose from. I dont know why yall wearing diraa (there's nothing wrong to wear what u want), as now yall look Somali to people who are unaware or new to the Oromo culture.
We Oromos are diverse in looks and can be easily mistaken for any other East African country/ethnicity, thats why its important to highlight ourselves and move away from things that undermine our representation.
I know us Oromo babes are large consumers and investers into beauty and ourselves, but yall could have worn modern dress designs with Oromo influences. I myself just lack a company and investment money but could have desigened Oromo event clothing that others would have also loved to buy.
We should stop investing and wasting our money on other people's clothing/business & instead start our OWN and support it 100% fully.
the only thing Oromo in this video was the people themselves, music and the hairstyles/headwraps/hijab (hair/wraps not culturally aligned to 1 group of people). The diraa for sure was not doing our culture justice. I dont even think it looked that good unfortunately
Strengthening and perserving our Oromo culture is the #1 duty of ALL Oromos regardless.
I know this is also your wedding day babes, so InshaAllah it is blessed with gratitude, love and patience. And for my other Oromo babes lets take lead in showcasing our cultural attire no matter the event.
Bilisuummaa and stay pretty my obboleettiis!
You’ll never catch a Somali wearing any Ethiopian tribe clothes. This is misleading and very disrespectful to our culture . She looks wrong, the diraac doesn’t look good on her too.
@F A she actually looks good asf, Diraa itself isn’t that appealing. It’s very baggy and makes one look big and unshaped. The colours at times can look good tho
She also didn’t do anything disrespectful, don’t bring that nonsense over here
@@najm6483 if it’s not appealing why don’t you stick to your white cloths? I mean don’t forget yall we’re naked slaves centuries ago🤣🤣 but now youse would happily wear our diraac and baatis . Unfortunately yall don’t have the beauty to showcase our traditional clothes I mean you can’t outdo the the doer. Also She’s overweight, her diraac is all over the place, it will never look good on y’all the way it looks on us. Next time stick to your cloths
First I wanted to applaud you for your reflection. You raised some interesting points here. I agree with what you said about representing the culture specifically on big occasions like a wedding. After all, REPRESENTATION MATTERS.
Have been said that I slightly disagree with some of your comments. As someone who was born and raised in Diredawa, I know what Drea means to our girls- it has a big part in our identity . Plus, you said the only thing oromo on this video is the people themselves. I’m quite surprised by that. what makes you think the songs are not Oromos? I know we are not talking about the language here, it’s about the rhythm. May be you are unfamiliar with these types of beats . Remember, oromo culture is huge and multi dimensional. As a result, the way ARSI or SHAWA composed their music is different to that of JIMMA or HARRARGE. The same goes for dresses. Looks like you are less exposed to the culture of Diredawa
At the end, I can’t emphasis enough on what you said about doing business with OWN ppl. Not only important but also it’s a must.
Peace ✌️
@Dire Dawa thank you for the feedback. You might have misread the part about being Oromo in the video. I DID include music/song in my original comment. Oromos Masha’Allah have a varied dialect and song ranges & rhythm within their regions and music. And I am fully aware of this.
I also do have people from DiraDawa or Hararghe within my Oromo community. However, I can admit that I am not strongly informed about the Oromo people in DiraDawa.
May I ask is the Diraa the only thing worn my Oromos in DiraDawa? Or do they also wear other culturally related clothing?
And YESS. We need to strengthen our culture and business my investing our hard earned money BACK into our Oromo community. Alhamdulillah we Oromos are slowly but surely being recognised by the world. Next thing you know we would be very poplar socially in the world.
You too and be blessed 🌳❤️

Kotuu matii walif hatanuu me
Why are you mixing it with Hindi
somalee fakkaattan, mee aadaan oromoo takkalleen.??
Why are oromas always trying to look like Somali women. Why don’t oromas wear they own culture clothing to their wedding. They most really hate being being of they are trying to be Somali
Maybe we are not so different. Chill pill wllo
@@oceanseleven623 we are absolutely different, we are from two different country’s and different culture and history.
@@oceanseleven623 they should learn to be proud of the culture their ancestors created and leave Somali culture alone
@Hawa A no ONE on earth is as culturally prideful as Oromos. When a culture is solely based on a material fabric that’s when folks can be paranoid. Which ur clearly showing
@@najm6483 if they are culturally proud why are ain’t they rocking their culture but they are wearing Somali Dirac on their why day. Oromas are not proud of their culture they are actually ashamed of it. That’s why they wear Somali cultural clothing and pretend to be Somali

This nasty media. Do you know they coordinated it to a commercial to watch where a man says immediately, "What makes you itch" for ELECTRONIC HARRASSMENT. 🤪🤐🙄
Hhhjju8
Get the hell ota here bro what the F** there is nothing wrong with the media you know nothing about the media or those people 🙄
nothing original about oromos, they copy Somali attire
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
😂😂😂😂
totally wrong idea ..........you just count your race but oromo and somali share 90% of their culture
@@sultanoumer55 90% 🤣 who told you that?
Who whispered to you that brother Somali? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 what did you smoke last night? That’s what happens when you eat too much MIRA 😂. My Yemeni friend is still laughing at you. No wonder all Somalis think that they are Arabs. We all wear derea because it’s cheap. Simple as that . So relax and enjoy the beautiful music

🙄🙄🙄😏😏🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
This is disgusting and very disrespectful, we don’t share no history other than oromos being our slave. Stop wearing our traditional clothes this is cultural appropriation. Look at them compare to our woman y’all will never be us
We would NEVER want to be y’all 🤣 our genetic and phenotype diversity itself does us a beautiful favour.
The ONLY thing we have in common is that y’all believed in OUR indigenous religion and when Islam came y’all lost ur culture and history unlike us Oromos. Alhamdulillah we preserved our beautiful culture and Waqaa religion regardless of our religious or political affiliation unlike y’all.
No wonder so many Somalis complain about Islam on media platforms.
Don’t be searching or clicking for Oromo content if ur clearly a hater and babes focus on making sure India doesn’t run out of material imports 💀
Your traditional clothes are Guntino. Your traditional food is Garow and Milk. I can imagine you wearing your Guntino and standing in the dusty desert with two skinny goat all day. Who do You think You are? We all know each other. Each year you come to Oromo farm to begg for grain and without Oromo help you will not have your dinner ( Garow)
So have some respect.
