    Being a doctor, I am sorry you had such less support from the doctor community than what you should have received. I came to realize this when my own aunt received a diagnosis of stage lV endometrial cancer. We are too late to do much about it but your story is truly inspiring. It really helps to see the other side of the spectrum and understand the real challenges that comes with a diagnosis like this. You are very brave to share your story and the encouragement you are providing to all these survivors or fighters is remarkable. I hope your health improves with every passing day and you completely heal from the mental and physical trauma that this disease incurred upon you.

      Thank you so much! ❤️. My last follow up exam was in May, and I was fine. My next yearly scan (I was moved to yearly scans after 2.4 years) is in November. I am lucky to have eventually received great treatment and a caring team of doctors. I will never go back to the first doctor. I am so sorry to hear about your aunt. Endometrial cancer isn’t as well researched as other cancers and it should be so that more women will be able to live.

    Dawn, yours is the best info on endometrial cancer.
    I refer to this often.
    I have st3c clear cell endometrial cancer. I had a hysterectomy nov. 2023. Started chemo in Jan. 2024, had my last chemo 2 weeks ago (6 sessions every 3 weeks) had my first radiation yesterday...2 more to go (once a week) then keytruda infusion(every 3 or 6 weeks) immunotherapy for at least 2 yrs.
    So far the worst side effect is fatigue.
    I really want to thank you Dawn for sharing your journey. You will never know how helpful you have been to me during this process.
    I live in New Jersey, grew up in Philly.
    I am being treated at Penn, Virtua and they are wonderful.

      Hi Barbara! Thank you so much! 🥰. There is so little information available and most people think of only endometrial carcinoma without realizing there are more rare and aggressive types that need serious treatment. I’m so happy you haven’t experienced any severe side effects. I didn’t either. I don’t have any experience with Keytruda but I hope that goes well for you. I really think if you go into treatment with less fear about the treatment, it’s much easier to get through. Not everyone gets sick or has awful side effects. I just came across your story and I hope you are still doing well. I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in 2014. I had the same surgery you described. While doing the pathology they discovered a small endometrial tumor as well. I was extremely fortunate that my Ovarian cancer was caught at stage 1a. And my endometrial was 2a and had not perforated the wall of my uterus. I had 6 cycles of Taxol and Carboplatin. Followed by 3 treatments of high density radiation. This next year I will be 10 years post treatment with no evidence of disease. I also tolerated treatment quite well. Extreme fatigue and weakness were my worst side effect towards the very end. I, like you, did not look sick. I am so glad to hear your story. I pray your health continues. It’s always comforting to know we are not alone in our battles. God bless you!

    Just like you, Dawn, I had no clue I had uterine endometrial cancer. I have had some fatigue I've lived with for almost 2 decades from fibromyalgia and later from stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease. No bloating or pain, appetite robust. Only the bleeding as a clue, and at 66, no doubt was very abnormal. In early Dec 2022, I had blood test and everything looked great, better than last few tests. A month later, I woke up bleeding from the vagina.
    Doing well with surgery except for a sluggish bowel and some problems pooping, not like any kind of constipation I've ever had.
    I think losing all my hair, if that happens, might freak me out at first. I appreciate your frank narrative abt your journey and recovery. I hope I'll be as brave as you are.

    Thank you so much for sharing your story! Very much appreciated!!! Happy to know you are cancer free and that you're currently healing well from everything you've been through. I'm just now going through all of that myself and I'm still in child bearing age so I'm frightened that I will not be able to have my own children, as my hubby and I, just found out in September of 2022 that this was my fated story for 2023. I did the DNC and it did not work so now they are saying hysterectomy and we'll see. It is scary and nerve wracking! I agree that people think you would be looking sick or feeling sick but sometimes, very few minor symptoms that can easily get misdiagnosed as something else. In fact, they kept telling me spotting was due to stress in 2020-2021 and ultrasounds didn't show anything at all, and I had at least 4 of them throughout the year in 2021. Paps came back clear as well. Moral is that if you feel something is going on, you know yourself best and you can keep searching for a Dr who will take you seriously. Don't wait because that is also detrimental to your health/outcome!

    Hi Dawn, thank you for sharing your story. I am post-menopausal - haven't had a period for about 2 years, then suddenly, in August of 2021, I started having a period again! I was shocked but things were so busy at work, I didn't think a lot about it. In September, the bleeding started again, but it was much heavier. I was going through pads every 3 hours or so. The following months, it got worse - the bleeding increased, I was then going through pads every 2 hours, or even less. And because the bleeding was so heavy, I couldn't get any sleep. I was bleeding through my pajamas and everything. There were also huge clots, larger than the size of a quarter or fifty-cent coin. We won't even talk about the cramps. I finally was able to see a gynecologist a week ago. She did a pelvic exam, scheduled me for a transvaginal ultrasound and an endometrial biopsy - and you're right, the biopsy was horrible. The ultrasound showed that I have lots of fibroids - which I'm not too concerned about. What has happened is that the doctor's office called a few days after I had the tests done, to reschedule my follow-up appointment. She wants to see me sooner than the originally scheduled date of 2/25. My new follow-up date is 2/11. I will say, I'm terrified. I've been told that if a doctor wants to see you sooner than later after tests, it's usually not good. I'm still having bad cramping and bleeding and my mind is going everywhere. I've kinda resigned myself to the fact that I more than likely have cancer. My question is, how did you get through the entire process? I don't really have a support system so that scares me also. I'm so sorry for such a long post but am very happy that you're doing so well.

      Thank you, I hope to keep doing well. I wish you the best for your appointment. Please let me know how it turns out if you can. I wish there were a secret that I should share as far as going through diagnosis and treatment, but there isn’t. Everyone reacts differently. For me, I have always been pretty resilient. I don’t have any family, and my friends are supportive but they have their own lives, so I knew I would need to depend on myself to do my normal routine. I think it helped that I went about life as normally as I could. I never had any problems after surgery and didn’t have problems with chemo. Yes, I had fear and anxiety, but I didn’t let it overwhelm me. I focused on things I enjoyed like movies, coloring, shopping. I will advise you to stay away from Google, and beware of support groups, where you will likely hear the worst stories. Everyone’s experience is different. I hope this helps. Believe me, I know it’s scary, but you will get through this!

    She is absolutely right about doctors who make mistakes. The problem is you can wait months to get an appointment for a second opinion.There are few cancellations and schedulers don’t take you seriously unless you’re bleeding. You can have a clear discharge with uterine cancer. Some Pap smear results do suggest cancer, such as abnormal glandular cells. Re help with lifting, etc., if you can pay, TaskRabbit has good people reasonably priced.

    I've heard so many horrific stories about these biopsies for endometrial cancer. Do they even give you an option to be sedated even some laughing gas or something ? The radiation i cant even imagine what that process is because it's down there, do they knock you out for that? I had radiation for bc and remember how tender my skin was on my breast it must be pretty darn painful if its done through your vagina. Im going to have a pelvic scan soon been having spotting and i'm 60. Praying it''s maybe from a bacterial infection i had , group b strep which caused horrible irritation and yeast infection. Anyway thank you for listening nd i will speak up for myself if i have to.🙏❤

      No option for any kind of sedation! The internal radiation is done while you are completely conscious. It doesn’t hurt, but having the tube inserted and remaining there is uncomfortable. But, the radiation is pretty quick. It didn’t hurt at all at any time. I hope your scan is ok, but better safe than sorry! Always a good idea to have it checked!

      For an endometrial biopsy, I was given an option for a paracervical block both times. They are numbing shots around your cervix. Will help decrease the pain for about 6 hrs or so but does wear off & your cramping can increase then. But it made the biopsy a little more bearable.

Ten days later I came home. And I had no symptoms, just knee pain. So I’m lucky they found this or I may not be here now. Knees are not done and you know what I mean when I say I’m not ready mentally for another surgery.

    I just had a consultation yesterday. They plan to do a D&C. Another women said this is bad, due to the fact that it made her CA metastasize. I worked in a radiology office years ago. The mamo tech said never let a Dr. use the same needle with both breast in a needle localization. It would technically be spreading the CA from one breast to the next. Would love to know if anyone else has researched D&C?

    • @dawnlovescouture2644
      @dawnlovescouture2644  Рік тому +2

      A D&C removed the uterine lining. It has no effect on whether it will influence cancer growth in the future. Any cancer that would be present afterward would have already started prior to the procedure. A D&C is sometimes used diagnostically to learn more about the cancer and to decide next steps. I’m not sure what a breast needle biopsy has to do with a D&C. It would be bad practice to use the same needle for any two areas because it could introduce germs, but you don’t “catch” cancer from a used needle.

It can also be managed with hormones for some. Many young women with this cancer do not need a hysterectomy and can go on to have children. I would get a second opinion before making a decision.

    Biopsy results came back and came back as positive for recurrence of EC . Now she is being referred to a radiation specialist and we are waiting for are first consult on 2/3/23 . I don’t know what went wrong if the estrogen had any effects to where it made things worse I need help on thoughts I’m helping my mother find her way out of this situation I’m an only child male and all this is killing me I don’t know what could of possibly went wrong. All these next treatments are gonna be out of pocket because mom doesn’t have any insurance or can’t get any so that’s another situation that makes things even worse I hope we can cover the cost of radiation therapy and I hope it works

      Hi, I’m sorry to hear about your mom. Recurrence is something everyone is afraid of, but probably your mom had early stage and a low risk cancer and didn’t need more treatment at the time. I’m not a doctor, so I can’t give you any medical information or advice. You should talk to a social worker at the hospital to see what kind of financial assistance your mom might be eligible for. Info I read online “In postmenopausal women, administration of estrogens prevents osteoporosis and fractures “ would you know if your body would still require estrogen . They proscribed it to my mother cuz she was having light bleeding and dryness to their look but made things worse . It would be a good question to ask . One oncology doctor said that your body would normally get use to postmenopausal and produce it in other ways . Cuz I asked if her body still needed the estrogen cuz that’s why they proscribed it right but they wanted her to stop it so that’s how my question came up .

    God bless u with MANY years of health...i thank u for sharing, hopefully i will have the guts 1 day to make a video sharing my story to warn and encourage others regarding prebreast ca and now bordering on endometrial adenocarcinoma. Unlike yourself my trust has been shaken completely with my gyn and oncologist...at the time i need to trust the most i feel betrayed and not heard.
    I went from having a low pre-breast CA which i had removed, radiation then took lowest dose of tamoxifen for 3 years (some pt now have option of monitoring instead of treatment i took) to my gyn and Gyn oncologist reccomending hysterectomy for complex endometrial hyperplasia w atypia bordering on endometrial adenocarcinoma.
    Im 54 and as u can imagine if i now believe that i was over treated for the pre-breast cancer which there is plenty of evidence that taking tamoxifen has a direct high risk for uterine CA to now im"...bordering on endometrial adenocarcinoma" i want to be sure that indeed a hysterectomy is the right treatment for me and this dx at this point in time. I asked gyn can i get another d&c and hysteroscopy to make sure and the resistance i got and how quickly i was talked down to was shocking and while this doctor has been short before i always try to be respectful without me being a push over. My husband and i kept asking her, really there are no additional tests that can be done to get a more accurate dx and her answer was no! She said the standard of care is the hysterectomy then they can confirm if there was or wasn't cancer, she also said that 50% of the time there is CA and the other 50% none is found. I share this part of my story because i want to reiterate what u said about not enough funding for uterine ca and its awareness.
    If youre a person that prays please think of me because im heartbroken/devastated and daily i ask God to give me strength and to put good ppl in my path. I asked my oncologist if i could get a ct scan to perhaps better help them figure out what is happening with me and he said an MRI was better which im scheduled for at the end of the month. Lastly today i saw a gyn oncologist which i was hoping could help me better understand my dx and he was worse than my regular gyn, i asked if my diagnosis was aggressive and he almost seemed bothered by my questions and i didn't feel he answered anything directly...he simply said oh its a continuum. Im getting 2nd opinion.
    From pt to pt im hoping u can share any additional insights to testing or anything else u might think is helpful to ask physicians?

      I understand how hard it is and frustrating to feel unheard. Go and get a second opinion. You should be able to get a uterine biopsy right in the office. I do know that if you have other issues with your uterus if you are past menopause and not going to have children, most doctors will recommend a hysterectomy to be safe. Especially since adenocarcinoma is the least aggressive uterine cancer and usually cured with surgery alone. But your doctor should be able to tell you why this is the only option. I didn’t have a choice, I had the biopsy and knew it was endometrial carcinosarcoma, which is a very high grade, rare, and aggressive cancer. The only thing that wasn’t certain was what stage it was and I had chemo because I had cancer cells in my abdomen even though it was stage 1. Adenocarcinoma can sometimes be treated without surgery in younger women who want to have children, but in older women often it’s recommended to have a hysterectomy to be safe.

    Thank you for your story. My journey is almost exactly like yours. I'm 3 years out. The difference is I had no bleeding. I had menstrual like cramping for a few weeks. I was 10 years post menopausal. Made an appointment with my gynecologist. Luckily he was very aggressive. Ultrasound then attempted biopsy but no way could he even insert the speculum. 1 week later hysteroscopy. 1 week later, grade 3 serous carcinosarcoma. He called the onc surgeon before he called me. Robotic hysterectomy a bit more than a week after. Back to work in 3 weeks. During covid! I'm a nurse in community mental health. Worked through chemo and 25 external radiation. Like you not a whole lot of support but I definitely survived. Chemo was no picnic but certainly doable. The mental side of all of this has been the hardest. My faith got me through. My cancer journey is quite expectional & unique so i think i would share it here so others can learn a thing or two from it! my journey began in May 2013 when I was first diagnosed with Stage IIIA uterine cancer. A radical hysterectomy, followed by several months of daily radiation and several weeks of chemotherapy were administered after my surgery. In November of the same year, I experienced a ruptured appendix and then in January of 2014 a portion of my colon was removed, all due to the hypersensitivity I have to chemo and radiation therapy and the harsh chemicals that had weakened my body. My life returned to a somewhat typical pace and I was able to return to a regular teaching schedule where I strive to meet the demanding, but rewarding satisfaction of touching the lives of elementary students. Unfortunately, several years later the cancer returned. It seemed to respond to chemotherapy at first, but then I suffered a terrible reaction. Meanwhile my liver tumor continued to grow by 60%. Local doctors refused to operate on my liver or to find a surgeon, stating they had “hit a brick wall,” and that surgery was not an option for me. I refused to accept their refusal, and through a dear friends found a surgeon who agreed to remove 60% of my liver. Because of sheer determination, I quickly recovered from the surgery and returned to teaching and daily work out routines. Scans revealed that my cancer continued to occur in my peritoneum and lungs. For several months, beginning in January 2020, medications were prescribed by my Dr to try and kill the cancer cells, complying with my wishes to please use any method of treatment other than chemotherapy but this meds never seem to be effective as my Dr promised. Anxiously and persistently pursuing a cure for my cancer, I learned about Dr Dennis natural herbal clinical centre through another friend who convinced me to let Dr Dennis order a molecular profile report of my cancer. The molecular study revealed that I had 20 genetic mutations. Dr Dennis recommended i tackle this sporadic mutations with natural formulated herbs that would help fight& kill the cancer cells in my system gradually. i was convinced after much research on the ingredients and properties that makes up his C4 Formula herbs and also going through his Facebook page at ( Dr Dennis Naturopathic Physician ). At first the herbs helped fight the symptoms and I started to see good outcome, I had to use it for 13 weeks just as the Dr prescribed and my response has been amazing, I am astounded at the return of energy I feel, the color back in my face and my general appearance is that of wellness. The herbs is phenomenal! For your sake, the future of a cure for cancer and your family. continue to FIGHT until you have explored every option.

    I am 53 & thought I was in menopause, I had months of horrendous bleeding nonstop.. did the uterine biopsy (that is from the Devil). That was the most gruesome pain for sure. Luckily it came back negative. I had adema swelling in my legs every night but never was tired & was extremely busy living on 4 hours sleep. I was overweight, my body was screaming inflammation! Though I am vegan/vegetarian.. I didn't eat healthy. I didnt like vegetables, fruits, only carbs & junk. So I decided to incorporate saurkrat, mixed canned greens every morning with my breakfast. Before I knew it, weight was dropping off, swelling disappeared, bleeding stopped! My gut bacteria must have been off & this corrected it! I was 153, now 121.. no diet, no exercise, I still eat Icecream, chips, etc but in moderation & the weight stays off! Of course God is to be Praised for His healing to my body as Prayer is very important to me. I am glad you're doing well & thank you for your story~

    I have had a polyp in my uterus for about 14 years now. It bleeds pink blood every month. It was first found when I was 28 when I was being looked at because of my ongoing chronic infections. When it was found, the tech said my doctor would need to further investigate it. She did not. In fact I wondered if she had even read my ultrasound report. He saw it sooo clearly that he was able to say exactly what I was experiencing every month (light bleeding of pink blood between periods). Now, at age 43 I’m having all kinds of extremely debilitating symptoms and I’m severely anemic. I’m going for another pelvic scan in October. I feel very let down and quite worried. That doctor I had in my 20s is no longer my doc and I never liked her as she had committed malpractice on me before even the polyp thing happened but I’ve just been far too timid for far too long. That’s ending now. I’m going to take your advice and start advocating for myself! At this point I have nothing to lose. I can barely even function anymore and even walking is excruciating and difficult due to this strange, intense foot pain I now have (has been increasing over the last year and has been extra bad for the past 6 months). Headaches, extreme weakness, extreme fatigue and exhaustion, the pink blood which I’ve had for about 14-15 years now. Extreme shortness of breath. Cramping legs, bloated abdomen, like a pregnant lady (I’m neither large nor really small, just average sized). A lot of really exhausting and frustrating symptoms.

    Thank you for sharing your journey. I am a survivor too. Mine was less aggress Figo 1b, Stage 1. Hysterectomy and Brachytherapy (1 session left to go). I totally agree with you that there is little support for Uterine Cancer patients. My provider Kaiser Permanente had none. I am going to advocate for them do more education for women about Uterine Cancer but don't know how well they will listen and make changes to their protocol. One thing I noted was the response to the biopsy. Mine was the same and I asked for pain meds as I had biopsies prior with and without pain meds and my gynecologist denied me medication! It was so brutal I still have PTSD from the experience. If men suffered this kind of pain then pain meds would be an absolute part of the protocol. Leaving us lying on the table like wounded animals sadistic at best! I don't understand why there is no help for you. After my hysterectomy (complicated by 2 C-sections and extensive scar tissue) I was totally worn out at the beginning. Luckily I had a supportive husband, if not I don't know how I could have made meals or take care of myself or the house. FYI I recently read that Mayo Clinic is working on a swab test for Uterine Cancer and I hope it is developed and put into use soon. God bless you for sharing your experience and helping educate those who need help understanding what this is all about. One other thing, you might like to look at Dr. Goodenowe's website and see his cancer presentation. He talks about the cancer "Prodrome" which is a metabolic dysregulation that increases the likelihood of getting cancer and recurrence. I have changed my diet to adjust my labs and not be in a pro-cancer environment. It is a real eye-opener.

Even though it’s 3 years old, it’s just what I needed to see for encouragement & hope. 54 yr old hospice RN diagnosed 2/27 with endometriod cancer, initially grade 2 but waiting for final pathology after my total lap hysterectomy 1 week ago. 3/20 will have my f/u visit with Gyn-onc re: treatment plan. Found + lymph nodes so likely stage 3C2. Will likely be starting cis-taxel, Keytruda, & pelvic radiation soon. I also live alone, & am so thankful for my BFF who is able to come stay with me when needed & other friends who help as they can. This was not how I planned to spend my 2024, but c’est la vie. I’m planning to add some complementary therapies to help mitigate symptoms where I can (fasting, accupuncture, etc). I’m glad to know that I won’t be so debilitated that I can potentially return to work part time to conserve my FMLA. Did you have any issues with peripheral neuropathy? Hi Patty, what type of endometrial cancer do you have? I hope you’re recovering well after the surgery. You’re lucky that someone was able to stay with you. I had one of my friends stay for a few days. It helped a lot. I don’t have any neuropathy and other than joint pain a few days after each round, I didn’t have any side effects. You will likely be prescribed medicine for nausea. You mentioned fasting. That’s not something the doctors would recommend, because if you are too weak they will have to stop treatment and you don’t want that to happen. Best of luck to you! ❤️

    Thank you so much for sharing your cancer survival story and bringing more awareness to endometrial/uterine cancers! My mom passed away many years ago of metastatic breast cancer at age 46, and that was largely due to not being diagnosed until after it had spread beyond the point of any effective treatments. You are so strong and beautiful (with and without hair or the wig shall not be named 😊) and I’m so glad you were so proactive in getting evaluated, educating yourself, and advocating for yourself in your treatment (that OBGYN was truly, truly horrible). Thank you! Yes, it’s always better when any cancer is found early. 46 is far too young to leave! I think there are much better tools now to make a diagnosis earlier because the scans are so sensitive and there’s better information about tumor makers, etc. I feel like it’s a miracle that mine was still early stage. I am still so terrified that the cancer will return just because of the type it was, but I tell myself that any person can keep worrying about cancer regardless if they’ve had it. Ugh, I paid over $500 for that wig, I think I was too in a hurry to look around more. I could have gotten a much nicer one on Amazon! Thank you for watching! I hope that your ultrasound turns out ok and that you don’t need any surgery or chemo. But please advocate for yourself, if you aren’t satisfied, move on to another provider.

  • @anglophils645

    Request a Dilation and Curettage (D&C) procedure, if you have heavy or unusual bleeding. You are put to sleep for this, no pain, and it is much more thorough for checking pathology, than is an endometrial biopsy. An endometrial biopsy is painful, and it just checks a tiny portion of your endometrium for cancer. A D&C removes the entire endometrium, and checks all of the tissue for cancer.

    • @dawnlovescouture2644
      @dawnlovescouture2644  2 роки тому +2

      What are you talking about? I had a rare cancer that would have killed me. I had a complete hysterectomy, chemo and radiation right after I was diagnosed. I wasn’t given a choice about having a d &c first. Waiting for that procedure prior to a hysterectomy would have killed me. Please don’t offer advice about what should be done because you clearly don’t know enough to say anything.

    • @anglophils645
      @anglophils645 Рік тому +6

      I'm sorry that your doctor didn't offer you a choice of an endometrial biopsy that caused you horrific pain, versus a D&C, for more thorough diagnosis, right away. Mine did, when I had unusual bleeding, at age 61, in 2017. I was also told, "Assume that you have endometrial cancer, with unusual vaginal bleeding at your age.". I was lucky. My diagnosis was limited to endometrial hyperplasia, and I have been treated with progesterone. Unfortunately, I am now having unusual vaginal bleeding again, at 66. I'm calling my gynecologist tomorrow about it. So wish me luck. I hope that I'm still pre-cancerous.
      And I do know what I'm talking about. My brother is a radiation oncologist, my brother in law and niece and nephew are surgeons. I am highly educated, and have a very strong medical background, myself. My doctor suggested the D&C versus the in-office endometrial biopsy, for more thorough diagnosis---but I did not have to wait, he got me in for that right away. It's an outpatient procedure that's painless and allows for a much more thorough pathology. If I had been positive for cancer, I would of course, had to return for a total hysterectomy, plus, omentectomy, etc., as you did. I may have that coming up now.

    Dawn well that algorithm is crazy. This video popped up today just after you mentioned about your cancer and your hair. OMG 😮. THANK YOU for sharing I’m so glad you are well thus far. I had to have a radical hysterectomy as well on an urgent basis for similar symptoms. They took everything I ended up having a cyst the size of a softball according to my doctor. I had to switch doctors as well because I had a gyno who just wasn’t taking it seriously. My blood levels where at the point where it showed I almost needed a Transfusion. My primary had to call and threaten to put me in hospital if the doctor didn’t do something. By the grace of God she was tied up so I was referred to another doctor in the same practice. He was wonderful he told me this is an urgent matter we need to take care of it right away it’s not an emergency yet but if you would have waited another day I would have more serious complications. He was well versed in treating women with RA so he was able to take all the precautions and knew what game plan to go by. Honestly Dawn I’ve pretty much have blocked the entire experience from my mind so detail are blurry. He knew it was serious because I had family history my mom had survived cervical cancer then 20 years later passed away from endocarconoma -sp? Of the stomach. So my memory is fuzzy because internally I was petrified. I am so very sorry you had to go through it alone I was there for my mom each step and I know how difficult it was. As for me they said they got everything and the subsequent test showed I was clear so I didn’t have to go through any chemo or radiation. They keep a close eye on me ever since. I understand the hair loss not because of this but because of the RA treatments. I take a lot of vitamins supplements etc so it mostly has stopped falling out so quickly it grows back a bit faster now but it’s so thin. Thank you so much for sharing and now I understand why you comment about your hair being long enough for twillies now. God bless you ❤ and stay strong I’m so glad you are here to make content I can enjoy and get cheered up from.

      Dee Dee, I’m so sorry! It’s a very scary experience when it’s an emergency. But, when I went to gyn oncology, she treated it as an emergency and I am very grateful now. It sounds like you were able to see just who you needed to see. When you have a family history it’s even more important to do very thorough follow ups and not wait. I’m so happy you are ok. I also lost hair when I was on Rituxan. It wasn’t all over but I eventually had some bald spots, which I was able to hide. That was actually more frustrating then losing everything all at once, but really, that’s just a side effect and just a small price to pay for health. Looking at if now, all those years of infusions prepped me for chemo. Hopefully never again!
