I’ve been following your videos when I was a civilian trying to get into the air-force. That was back in early 2018! I’m a USAF firefighter stationed in Kadena Japan! you inspired me to make my own Vlogs! Good luck on your journey!
Kevin Guerrero that’s insane!!! Wow small world brother. Can’t thank you enough for the support. I’ll be on the look out for your content. Best of luck. Stay safe brother, much love.🤞🏼
Randy Cantu i’m 16 going to be a junior, could you give me the pt you guys do in fire protection like your mile run times and what i could do to prepare if you don’t mind ?
Your the one channel I watched a lot mainly bc I wanna become a air force fire fighter that’s been one of my dreams and you making the videos helped me narrow down just wanna say thanks a lot hope to see you live your best life now man.💪🏽
Wow congratulations man. I just graduated tech school two weeks ago. I used to watch your vids almost everyday. And I still do, believe it or not. I wish you success man. 🙌🏽
I've been watching your videos for almost three years and now my mandatory service as a firefighter in the Israeli air force is over as well loved watching your videos! Stay safe and good luck!
Good Luck Randy Cantu I Appreciate Your Videos about the Air Force FireFighting and Your Time in the Air Force. I am also a Big Fan of FIREMENS and FIREFIGHTING #FIREMAN #FIREMENS #FIREWOMAN #FIREWOMENS # MILITARY #MILITARYFIREFIGHTING 😁😊
Gonna miss seeing these videos Cantu. You showed a lot of folks some fantastic information about the job and the military life. Thanks for the effort you put into these.
Yo this is Lafferty. Congrats man! Time for bigger and better things but hard to believe man that 4 year contract is up. You and a few other guys I know are already out and done. To think it was only back in Spring 2017 at Goodfellow going through Tech school and now this is done.
I’m going to be a senior in HS and my school has this dual credit for a fire fighting class and I’ve wanted to be a fire fighter since I was a kid and I think Air Force fire protection would be perfect the only thing is that I am terrible at math and I have dysgraphia which makes my hand writing bad but it also affects mathematics and is that a problem for this profession?
Aiden Leal I think to start off in the right foot and who would know is an Air Force recruiter. They’re going to be your first step to get into this profession. Best of luck!
Aiden Leal I have the same exact problem brotha. But that never stopped me from working hard and trying my best to understand. I had taken the same program that your speaking about. My junior and senior year I had pumped myself with nothing but motivation to make my dreams come true. I took fire science 1 & 2 both years and I passed with A and B. It’s hard but putting the time and effort into something that you love is totally worth it. “Don’t give up because of a disability but overcome it and learn to maneuver around what faces you” that’s what my special ed teacher used to tell us in class. I never forgot it because I wanted to become someone one day. Now look at me I’m running a part time landscaping business and on a amazing fire department. If you ever need some motivation comment on one of my videos and I’ll get right back to you. Don’t give up brotha. Stay strong.
Livinglifeproductions I appreciate it and it’s all about the mindset I’ve always been one to stay positive and work my hardest to achieve my goals i just need to find time to study between working as a chef at a sushi restaurant but thanks brah I sincerely appreciate it.
Dude I watched your vids and I chose this job as my number one and luckily I was able to get it I leave December 1st man thanks a lot for the info and the vids
@@RandyCantu Ahhh dude not all what its cracked up to be. I did it after my time in, and I gotta tell ya wish I stayed in. Its real simple being in. Not overly a comfort zone, there are challenges just I found service way more desirable too civilian life.
@@lionellinares2618 Yes you most certainly can, but if you are in a demanding MOS, you can sometimes miss out on those kind of opportunitys. Also most time you will be doing online classes, which I recommend. Since you will always have time to do assignments afterwork, most of the time. Are you looking to join?
@@triggerdude I’m already booked to leave this 28th for fire protection for the AF! But I most definitely still want to get my degree in something business related like finance or something in that area while I’m in. Idc if I have to do it online which I’m sure I’ll have to
So I have a question. I would love to become an EMT if I could. I would love even more to become a paramedic. Especially if the USAF will pay for it. I’m currently in law enforcement. If I can become an EMT or get Paramedic certification, that would be really beneficial. In law enforcement I could get additional pay, get into many more swat teams, and it would open many doors for me. I was thinking of going CA Air Guard. So my question is, as a firefighter in the USAF, do you get EMT certified or paramedic certification? As of right now, I’m under the impression that PJ’s are the only paramedics the Air Force has. Am I wrong? Do they have “regular paramedics”. Regular paramedics that respond to calls around the base with the fire fighters? Are the firefighters paramedics too? If anyone could give me info I’d greatly appreciate it.
