iphone is quiet ahead in term of performance. but samsung s split screen, pop up view, flexible gesture or swipes for opening apps, i mean opening 2-3 apps at the some time is useful.
I like to have a fingerprint scanner plus certain apps like my online banking and PayPal can be logged in using it instead of having to use pins everytime. I have to say that laggyness when scrolling on the S22 I don't have for me it's super smooth even if I'm scrolling quickly.
I agree. I have both phones and both run equally smooth. I use my S22 Ultra way more because it is set up just the way I like thanks to Samsung’s Goodlock apps.
I never own Iphone. I love Samsung note series. I don't see why the iphones are more expensive. That's me. I own Note 9, note 20 Ultra and S22 Ultra 512gb factory unlocked
@@sinanmamed Sadly, where I live Android phones are not offered the same software updates, but the iPhones are updated the same time all over the world. Also I have Macbook, iMac, Apple Watch and iPad, so it all works together.

Yes exynos. In fairness, I’ve seen some snapdragon reviews and actually spotted some of the same problems when looking closely. Doesn’t seem nearly as bad though and most people I hear say Snapdragon models are much better 🤷♂️
How can Face ID be beaten when you’re opening a banking app you don’t need to touch the screen just look at it. People who say that are fning stupid especially if you wear gloves in the winter. You can tell when people are bias I’ve seen many reviews saying the speakers are better on the ultra and we know they’re not. And saying the camera is much better blah blah this was a good unbiased review
Iphone 13 pro max is best all rounder, apple never focus on one thing everything is good. Android has problems with batterys like you can take your phone off charge at 100% wake up and its 95% that itself was a issue for me.

I don't personally have any issues with battery draining/heating, so if you want to go for it now...do it! If you're able to wait though you can see what the S23 Ultra has to offer before deciding (there's always going to be a new/better phone though so you've got to pull the trigger at some point!)
If Samsung could get a handle on battery drain on standby and android could optimize some of their apps then I think on phones they could over take apple - while on a 12 pro max lol

Max res and 120 Hz! It all depends on what type of application you run though. You could get 5 hours of intense gaming, perhaps, but over 10 hours binging UA-cam videos! With mixed use I get comfortably get 8 hours personally 🤷♂️
I would personally say to wait until the iPhone comes out and THEN make a decision. The price may even drop on the S22 Ultra, plus you'd be able to see what the new iPhone offers to see if it tempts you. Waiting always allows you to be more informed, but then again there's always new tech on the horizon. So you've got to just pull the trigger at some point and make a decision, accepting that there will be a new, better device coming shortly after. So set yourself a date. Maybe when the new iPhone comes out if you can wait that long. See what it offers and then you can buy something then!

Samsung makes the displays for iphone, and if anybody thinks Samsung is going to give a better display to the competition, than what they put on their own phones, are just fooling themselves.
Honestly, the iphone has gotten sooooo boring. Same thing every year. I've got to give it to the ultra.. images can always be edited post produciton and that S-PEN is honestly a neat thing to have. i don't know why you never mentioned that the ultra has face unlock too haha but ye, you certainly get more with the ULTRA.
I just mentioned the two secure biometrics - that’s what most people will use. If Face Unlock was new this year it might have gotten a mention, but I’ve talked about it before
It's pretty funny he says the spec sheet doesn't hold up when he talks about cameras, but he uses horrible benchmarks to justify calling the iPhone more powerful. Where's your proof? Have you tried playing Genshin on both? The Galaxy manages more frames (and for a longer time) on the most demanding mobile game. That's a simple test which disproves cherry-picked statements.
The 3DMark tests are the proof. It's one of the most simple tests you can possibly run. They're literally designed exactly for this type of testing and comparison, that's why I showed the results in the video! I have tried playing Genshin on both and it seemed to me the iPhone achieved a smoother frame rate 🤷♂️
@@insidetechltd 3DMark is for testing a device against the performance of others with a similar configuration. A much simpler test would be to play games on both devices and see the FPS either can achieve (as all gaming tests are performed). I believe that this is based on what it "seemed" but it's presented as fact. Do you honestly believe any person interested in gaming thinks the iPhone is a good device for that? No emulation, no cloud gaming apps, and--until the 14 Pro--worse performance in the biggest mobile title. As a person who plays Genshin on both, the performance averages 5-6 frames worse on the iPhone because of thermal throttling. But sure, benchmarks are cool.
Your videos are becoming more polished and refined, that one just keeps watching them not just for the comparison, but for quality and how the content is been created and presented in much granular fashion and style that put it at a zenith of the utmost admiration. I say well done the Samsung for me is the way to go not taking anything away from Apple but in fairness, they are two great pieces of tech you can't go wrong taking one from the other ✌
Apple is just plain boring, you don't get to do everything you want to and you can't install apps like why music or UA-cam vanced. The s22 ultra to me is far superior
I have owned both and both phones are incredible, it just a matter of preference but now I see a more friendly android experience for Mac and iPad users as me.
To those asking about the wallpaper used, it's an old OnePlus wallpaper that I really like. If you just Google "OnePlus green and orange wallpaper" it comes up as one of the first google image search results!
Got my hands back and fort on both devices before I finally decided that s22 Ultra is the better match for me in terms of ergo and display, camera, and everything else. No regrets.
In core areas iphone wins in my opinion *Iphone hs more powerfull cpu and gpu A15 *Better premium durable built quality with stainless steel * much better battery life * better speakers with better bass and quality and separation *Better water resistance up to 6 m * more os updates * iphone display has higher sustained brightnes better HDR for display and display support dolbyvison playback support with Samsung dosent * more consistant camera with macro cam than can get more closer.. And hands down iphone is the king in video recording, the dynamic range and highlight details are insane also goes madness with ProRes and the only camera that can do HDR 10 bit with Dolbyvison....
I think it's important to mention that those camera issues on the S22 Ultra you mention are almost non-existent on the Qualcomm version. Fantastic news that makes the decision easier if you're in the US, little more than added insult to injury if you're in the UK.
I had the iPhone 13 Pro Max this morning for the first time in a store to play with..and i was realy impressed. The screen,the body,etc,looks amazing. I'm having the S21+ for 6 months and since 2010 i have only Samsung Galaxy devices. But maybe i'll buy the iPhone as my next phone. It's a fantastic device.

That laptop i didn't use it anymore since i bought a Acer 514 Flip last month. And it's such a fantastic (last of the Mohicans) 6.8 inch beautiful device,next to my Galaxy S21+. So after thinking a lot, i'm keeping my Samsung devices.
I own the regular iPhone 13 and the s22 ultra he's wrong about the camera the ultra camera destroys my iPhone camera compare them everyday I love them both only on video is the iPhone competitive where it might even be a little bit better but it's highly debatable which one's better they both record great video the iPhones just more smooth and switching between lenses but if you're just recording and not switching lenses the galaxies just as good and when you're taking photos lineup 10 Galaxy photos and 10 iPhone photos I bet seven out of ten will get picked every time by the Samsung they just look better

Almost all the bad items you mentioned about the S22 Ultra at the camera level I also noticed and I think the iphone that was in a fierce dispute with the S21 Ultra, is having advantages and good consistency in front of the S22... Even this year I was very angry with the result of the flagships launched so far at the camera level, especially with Samsung, because I have a S21 Ultra, I think it was the best in terms of photography last year, and after seeing dozens of comparisons this year, I decided to stick to comparing it with the S22 Ultra itself, and such was my disappointment to be able to prove the DOWNGRADE (the CAPADA) that Samsung made in the S22 camera in several aspects, mainly in terms of detail in the photos and side blurs, and because of that I took advantage of my channel to leave a comparison showing the INFERIORITY of the Ultra, S22 in relation to the S21, with blunt EVIDENCE... spent there and opining if you agree with what I show there in the photos or if you have a different opinion. The downgrage was general from the manufacturers in their flags, and with that Samsung also kept quiet waiting for the S23 Ultra.
To sum it up. If you aren't that tech savvy and want something simple with less features and more phone, get an iPhone. If you are more tech savvy and want to customize every bit of your phone, then get a Samsung.
Thank you. I got an iPhone and hated that you cannot customize it. I also got frustrated with the keyboard lacking options, no clipboard, the absence of many of my much used apps, and the fact that the camera made things in a weird color, which were not always true to life.

I like this video, extremely to the point and picked every aspect of using a phone in real life rather than talking number written on paper by those companies. I have noticed other youtubers are overrating S22 ultra soo much than it deserves, even they know the real fact that samsung shows its real face after having for a year or more, basically bad phone experience with samsung tbh. I have had both the Iphone and samsung flagships so far, and currently using iPhone 13 pro and im really happy with what it delivers to me on daily basis.

I am still not convinced buying iphone 13 max pro... There was time when i was not able to afford it... Now i can afford it... But other than the design there is literally nothing i found on iphone... I held and used one of my friends iphone just to get a day experience and i hated it so much.... Literally everything... Starting from widgets to lock screen options to camera.... On other hand i tested samsung galaxy ultra and it really blew my mind.... I don't care if there are few bloatwares but i can hide those all after installing a decent launcher or i can uninstall those... Images captured from samsung ultra were insanely awesome.... I prefer versatility vs being an Isheep... I honestly don't know what people think before buying apple phones... Some call its the ecosystem... Some says its decent and easy to use.... Some says its unique and still didn't find a reason.... Some says it has advanced technology for which i literally laugh... They pay double the amount and most of the people doesn't even know why they bought the iphone... I am not hating iphone users its just i am still not convinced... Anyways .. about the video ... I respect android and I love my Pixel 6 Pro, but my primary device is a an iphone. The cameras on the iphone and the polish of the OS is just a win for me. I wish apple offered more customization and apple pencil support. This was a great detailed comparison.
Iphone 13 pro max 512gb is double the price of S22 Ultra 512gb in my country, so I picked S22 ultra which is a really close alternative for half the price.

Iphone takes much better point-to-shoot photos and videos, period! S22 Ultra is only superior in zoom (10x periscope camera). However in day/night photo/video scenario 95% of the folks don't use telephoto camera anyway...
I'm switching to Apple after using exclusively Samsung. Why? Because Genshin Impact and most other demanding games are better on IPhone. And the Apple ecosystem ofc. Also f*ck Exynos.

I mean, there's million of these videos online - It boils down to personal preference in the end. They are both insane good phones and depending on your need then one will be the best (for you). Personally, I pick the 13 Pro Max due to how smooth iOS is and how reliable and optimized App Store apps are. But I think the S22 Ultra looks SO good! The pen is an awesome feature and the x10 zoom really is great, so I get people that would want S22 Ultra as well.
I couldn't care less about face ID. And during the pandemic, it was a pain in the balls. Never worked until recently they added that face mask feature. But I rather have fingerprint.

My S21 ultra when scrolling twitter feed does not behave the way S22 ultra did in this video. It is as smooth as the iPhone 13 Pro max. How come? Moreover mine is 2100 exynos chipset.

But if it was between the S22+ and 13 Pro Max...S22+ is my favourite (just to give some context). Yes the magenta hue definitely isn't a new thing, but it's worse this year than most others!

I think you'll prefer that hue compared to the bad skin tones you would get on 13 series, especially on dark skins. (No way to toggle the HDR manually) Personally I prefer Samsung image processing. I think in most cases you'll look out for an attractive and colourful photo while taking portraits and snapping pets and kids.

@@insidetechltd Indeed, Exynos is a problem here definitely. Processing is not optimal, similar things happening on s22+ but much less impacting a quality. For instance when you record video in sunny day, shadows are really noisy.

Excellent review! The best I've seen. Something that would be nice to know is the amount of maximum nits that the Galaxy gives in the natural screen mode, and with the white balance as close to D65 as possible.

I fell for the "Iphone just works" crap and had the Iphone 12 thinking it would be and absolute smoothe experience but i was wrong , I had just as much crashes and bugs and this weird issue where you could not x out of adds in some games. Face id works great but sometime I wished I could just use my fingerprint instead of having to pick the phone up to use it. Long story short I sold it and went back to android.

The iPhone actually has reduce white point in settings witch lets the display get extremely dim, so technically it does get dimmer then the s22

Samsung makes the displays for iphone, and if anybody thinks Samsung is going to give a better display to the competition, than what they put on their own phones, are just fooling themselves.

I did the opposite and I feel infuriated when using the iPhone. It lacks many of the great things that come standard for Android users.
Honestly, the iphone has gotten sooooo boring. Same thing every year. I've got to give it to the ultra.. images can always be edited post produciton and that S-PEN is honestly a neat thing to have. i don't know why you never mentioned that the ultra has face unlock too haha but ye, you certainly get more with the ULTRA.
I just mentioned the two secure biometrics - that’s what most people will use. If Face Unlock was new this year it might have gotten a mention, but I’ve talked about it before

It's pretty funny he says the spec sheet doesn't hold up when he talks about cameras, but he uses horrible benchmarks to justify calling the iPhone more powerful. Where's your proof? Have you tried playing Genshin on both? The Galaxy manages more frames (and for a longer time) on the most demanding mobile game.
That's a simple test which disproves cherry-picked statements.
The 3DMark tests are the proof. It's one of the most simple tests you can possibly run. They're literally designed exactly for this type of testing and comparison, that's why I showed the results in the video! I have tried playing Genshin on both and it seemed to me the iPhone achieved a smoother frame rate 🤷♂️
@@insidetechltd 3DMark is for testing a device against the performance of others with a similar configuration.
A much simpler test would be to play games on both devices and see the FPS either can achieve (as all gaming tests are performed).
I believe that this is based on what it "seemed" but it's presented as fact. Do you honestly believe any person interested in gaming thinks the iPhone is a good device for that? No emulation, no cloud gaming apps, and--until the 14 Pro--worse performance in the biggest mobile title.
As a person who plays Genshin on both, the performance averages 5-6 frames worse on the iPhone because of thermal throttling. But sure, benchmarks are cool.

Apple is just plain boring, you don't get to do everything you want to and you can't install apps like why music or UA-cam vanced. The s22 ultra to me is far superior
I have owned both and both phones are incredible, it just a matter of preference but now I see a more friendly android experience for Mac and iPad users as me.
To those asking about the wallpaper used, it's an old OnePlus wallpaper that I really like. If you just Google "OnePlus green and orange wallpaper" it comes up as one of the first google image search results!
Got my hands back and fort on both devices before I finally decided that s22 Ultra is the better match for me in terms of ergo and display, camera, and everything else. No regrets.

*Iphone hs more powerfull cpu and gpu A15
*Better premium durable built quality with stainless steel
* much better battery life
* better speakers with better bass and quality and separation
*Better water resistance up to 6 m
* more os updates
* iphone display has higher sustained brightnes better HDR for display and display support dolbyvison playback support with Samsung dosent
* more consistant camera with macro cam than can get more closer.. And hands down iphone is the king in video recording, the dynamic range and highlight details are insane also goes madness with ProRes and the only camera that can do HDR 10 bit with Dolbyvison....
iPhone is objectively superior.
I think it's important to mention that those camera issues on the S22 Ultra you mention are almost non-existent on the Qualcomm version.

I had the iPhone 13 Pro Max this morning for the first time in a store to play with..and i was realy impressed. The screen,the body,etc,looks amazing.
I'm having the S21+ for 6 months and since 2010 i have only Samsung Galaxy devices.
But maybe i'll buy the iPhone as my next phone.

Friday i bought the Galaxy Note 10 plus as my 2nd phone.
I traded my Windows laptop in,and payed only 40€ for it.
That laptop i didn't use it anymore since i bought a Acer 514 Flip last month.
And it's such a fantastic (last of the Mohicans) 6.8 inch beautiful device,next to my Galaxy S21+.
So after thinking a lot, i'm keeping my Samsung devices.

I own the regular iPhone 13 and the s22 ultra he's wrong about the camera the ultra camera destroys my iPhone camera compare them everyday I love them both only on video is the iPhone competitive where it might even be a little bit better but it's highly debatable which one's better they both record great video the iPhones just more smooth and switching between lenses but if you're just recording and not switching lenses the galaxies just as good and when you're taking photos lineup 10 Galaxy photos and 10 iPhone photos I bet seven out of ten will get picked every time by the Samsung they just look better

Almost all the bad items you mentioned about the S22 Ultra at the camera level I also noticed and I think the iphone that was in a fierce dispute with the S21 Ultra, is having advantages and good consistency in front of the S22...
Even this year I was very angry with the result of the flagships launched so far at the camera level, especially with Samsung, because I have a S21 Ultra, I think it was the best in terms of photography last year, and after seeing dozens of comparisons this year, I decided to stick to comparing it with the S22 Ultra itself, and such was my disappointment to be able to prove the DOWNGRADE (the CAPADA) that Samsung made in the S22 camera in several aspects, mainly in terms of detail in the photos and side blurs, and because of that I took advantage of my channel to leave a comparison showing the INFERIORITY of the Ultra, S22 in relation to the S21, with blunt EVIDENCE... spent there and opining if you agree with what I show there in the photos or if you have a different opinion.
The downgrage was general from the manufacturers in their flags, and with that Samsung also kept quiet waiting for the S23 Ultra.

Thank you. I got an iPhone and hated that you cannot customize it. I also got frustrated with the keyboard lacking options, no clipboard, the absence of many of my much used apps, and the fact that the camera made things in a weird color, which were not always true to life.
@@taliagoodwomanmann Everytime apple releases a new phone, it's basically the same as the previous phone with little upgrades. I enjoy the camera functions with phones and the 100x zoom on my s21 ultra is fun to play with.

I like this video, extremely to the point and picked every aspect of using a phone in real life rather than talking number written on paper by those companies. I have noticed other youtubers are overrating S22 ultra soo much than it deserves, even they know the real fact that samsung shows its real face after having for a year or more, basically bad phone experience with samsung tbh. I have had both the Iphone and samsung flagships so far, and currently using iPhone 13 pro and im really happy with what it delivers to me on daily basis.

I am still not convinced buying iphone 13 max pro... There was time when i was not able to afford it... Now i can afford it... But other than the design there is literally nothing i found on iphone... I held and used one of my friends iphone just to get a day experience and i hated it so much.... Literally everything... Starting from widgets to lock screen options to camera.... On other hand i tested samsung galaxy ultra and it really blew my mind.... I don't care if there are few bloatwares but i can hide those all after installing a decent launcher or i can uninstall those... Images captured from samsung ultra were insanely awesome.... I prefer versatility vs being an Isheep... I honestly don't know what people think before buying apple phones... Some call its the ecosystem... Some says its decent and easy to use.... Some says its unique and still didn't find a reason.... Some says it has advanced technology for which i literally laugh... They pay double the amount and most of the people doesn't even know why they bought the iphone... I am not hating iphone users its just i am still not convinced... Anyways .. about the video ... Iphone takes much better point-to-shoot photos and videos, period! S22 Ultra is only superior in zoom (10x periscope camera). However in day/night photo/video scenario 95% of the folks don't use telephoto camera anyway...

I mean, there's million of these videos online - It boils down to personal preference in the end. They are both insane good phones and depending on your need then one will be the best (for you). Personally, I pick the 13 Pro Max due to how smooth iOS is and how reliable and optimized App Store apps are. But I think the S22 Ultra looks SO good! The pen is an awesome feature and the x10 zoom really is great, so I get people that would want S22 Ultra as well.

I couldn't care less about face ID. And during the pandemic, it was a pain in the balls. Never worked until recently they added that face mask feature. But I rather have fingerprint.
I know it takes time to implement these changes, but I wish that Face ID mask update came a year earlier 😔

My S21 ultra when scrolling twitter feed does not behave the way S22 ultra did in this video. It is as smooth as the iPhone 13 Pro max. How come? Moreover mine is 2100 exynos chipset.

I think you'll prefer that hue compared to the bad skin tones you would get on 13 series, especially on dark skins. (No way to toggle the HDR manually)
Personally I prefer Samsung image processing. I think in most cases you'll look out for an attractive and colourful photo while taking portraits and snapping pets and kids.

@@insidetechltd Indeed, Exynos is a problem here definitely. Processing is not optimal, similar things happening on s22+ but much less impacting a quality. For instance when you record video in sunny day, shadows are really noisy.

Excellent review! The best I've seen. Something that would be nice to know is the amount of maximum nits that the Galaxy gives in the natural screen mode, and with the white balance as close to D65 as possible.

I fell for the "Iphone just works" crap and had the Iphone 12 thinking it would be and absolute smoothe experience but i was wrong , I had just as much crashes and bugs and this weird issue where you could not x out of adds in some games. Face id works great but sometime I wished I could just use my fingerprint instead of having to pick the phone up to use it. Long story short I sold it and went back to android.
Oh well, at least you tried it and found out what you enjoy more!
