Erik voice is a gift for all of us. He has a vocal coach. When he was going through his chemo, he still kept singing. He had a bone marrow transplant a couple of years ago. 7 months later he was asked to be lead singer for Skid Row. He left Skid Row this year to keep a promise he made to himself to have his health come first. We are so blessed that he is doing so well. Loved your reaction.
Erik is phenomenal, and he can sings just about anything. A couple of weeks ago he released a cover of Johnny Cashs Gods gonna cut you down. Erik is a genuine easygoing guy and I'm sure he would appreciate the discussion.
King Erik👏👏🙏 To actually do this like he does, it takes so much more than vocal range and power do pull this off and that is passion and SOUL and that sets him aside from the rest of them in my book! He's just born with it ❤
I have never subscribed to a you tube channel until I seen Mr Erik sing this and others I could listen to him sing over and over he’s absolutely awesome !!❤
The true beauty of this song is Dolly Parten wrote it not as a romantic love song but as a love of Porter Wagoner who had her on his show for so many years and shecwas going out on her own. Real true love of one artist for another. Eric hit it perfectly.❤❤❤❤❤
Welcome back and thanks for reacting to Erik. He’s such a talented singer and he has so many great covers. His cover of Black Sabbath’s Headless cross are amazing and shows a different side of his vocals. Erik won Swedish Idol some years back, and was also the vocalist in Skid row until he stepped down to take care of his health. He also had his band HEAT, and was also the vocalist of New Horizon with Jona Tee. Jona Tee plays a lot of the instruments in Eriks covers, and does he does the mix, master and production too. 😀🇸🇪
Even listen to him do Mariah Carey's Without You, these two covers are two of the best I'll seen and heard lately (UA-cam). In 2009, Erik won Swedish Idol and performed the specially written song Higher in the final. On March 23, 2022, it was announced by Eddie Trunk that Grönwall is replacing ZP Theart as the lead singer of Skid Row. In March 2024, Erik announced that he was leaving Skid Row for health reasons after being diagnosed with leukemia.
Great reaction to Erik. He is awesome. You might also enjoy Dan Vasc, singing Amazing Grace. A metal singer but also classically trained. Dan and Erik have also done a song together. "Breaking the Silence". Enjoy the ride.
Erik also just sang on the UFO song Mother Mary with Slash and Michael Schenker on Michael Schenkers UFO covers album. Great voice and a great guy too. Erik is absolutely a phenomenal vocalist. Erik uses a vocal coach and does vocal exercises before each show, something other vocalists who have been singing for years never did and now it shows. You have to take care of your instrument, but being a vocal coach I know you know that.
Check out Erik's UA-cam channel for more amazing songs - covers & originals. He records in his own home studio, & always warms his voice up properly. He would never release anything until he is 100% happy.
What an amazing male version of this song. If you want to hear a stunning female version you could try out Vanny Vabiolas version - its at another level
Great reaction, thanks! 🙂Erik Is totally amazing!! Please also check out Tommy Johansson "She´s gone" cover or "You raise me up" cover. You will love! Cheers! /New sub
You do know that before he could join skid row and sing lead (they begged him even if they didn't know he would survive) he had to re train his voice after looking death in the eye.. Learn good history!
@@grieverproductions2022 Yes Erik survived leukemia and had a bone marrow transplant five months before joining Skid Row. He joined even though personally I don't think he was quite ready. The road and being up all the time and traveling back and forth took a toll on his body and after two years he had to step down to concentrate on his health. He is fine, but traveling was getting too much for him. He revived Skid Row and I stll wish he was with them, but understandable. I still have the latest album with him on it, The Gang's all Here to listen to.
Honestly me too. I would love to do that at some point! Ideally I would love a singer that each represents a different style and just discuss the differences between how things work
Many people do reactions that let the whole video play, then comment at the end... find out what they are doing and implement it. It becomes less annoying. I watch a lot of reactions from many different people. I hope this becomes valued criticism
I love the interruptions, I am here for your opinion, expertise and view, this is a reaction, commentary thing after all, if I wantes just the song I would listen to the original video so I would say keep doing it the way you did it, it feels more natural when the reaction is happening immediately when you had the reaction. Love your commentary, genuine input and interesting thoughts, separates a great reaction video from someone who just sits there and smiles.
Erik had just battled cancer when singing this. You should listen to his version of All by myself. It is even more stunning.
Erik is the sweetest guy and he deserves the best.
Amazing reaction.
Thank you!! 😁

Well. He has obviously found his own way of singing. And it sounds absolutly amazing.
Could not agree more!

Tommy Johansson- you raise me up.
The best🤩
He's extraordinary ❤
Erik is amazing. If not for reacting, but just for your own enjoyment, go to his channel on YT. He is fantastic in so many ways, You´ll find out :)
Interesting! I'm no singer, but I really liked your reaction and your explanations. Just pasted by, but I will look into more of both you and Erik.

Love your ability to want to learn more and admit you don't know everything 👍🏻
I appreciate that! Anyone that says they know it all is frankly lying 🙂
You shouls hear him sing "The Voice" (John Farnham). He's fabulouse >>>>
❤
Check out Erik's UA-cam channel for more amazing songs - covers & originals. He records in his own home studio, & always warms his voice up properly. He would never release anything until he is 100% happy.
Please listen to Tommy Johansson and Erik Grönwall doing a cover of

No I was completely unaware! I tend to go into things completely blind but this is very interesting!

What looks like tension in his neck is probably because he is so thin. He has no subcutaneous fat.
Also maybe his leukaemia as well?
He is amazing! Next is John Farnham! 😊
100% better than Whitney!!!
I hope you can get some singers together för a talk!
Honestly me too. I would love to do that at some point! Ideally I would love a singer that each represents a different style and just discuss the differences between how things work
Brists are not suppose to give advise
Good thing I'm not a Brit then
Listen more and talk less... At the end you can give us your expertise lol.
I would love to but the last time I did that, I got a full blown copyright strike on the channel and the video got banned 😂😂
