Ive owned over 40 cars, from BMW V8s and 635csi's to Audi S1 and S2 Quattros, Volvo 850Rs and S60 T5s etc.. The little Fiat Stilo as a well thought out package is sold short.. Its a great little car and it puts a smile on my face when I drive it. Not because Its the fastest hatch on the road, but because its such fun to drive. It has that typical Italian feel and picks up the revs quickly. I was surprised at the consumption given its only around 1200kgs, but man when you take the revs to the top, not many hatches will produce the sound and smile factor like the Stilo 20V. Sure, the Ford Focus ST, Gti and Opel OPC sets the bar in terms of street cred, but the little Abarth is unique and puts the "F" back into fun. Thanks for the video Deegr

I just bought an Abarth Stilo, its a big smile fun to drive car, so much electronic that its almost seems like a spaceship , ok, expensive maintenance, but the absolute fun factor compares everything :) and i am agree with Paul Stuarts reaction 3 weeks ago ^_^
@@nachtey The stilo was made to be the rival of the mk4 golf, the later 2006 Tipo was than the rival of the mk5 golf. It did not sell well cause the stile was ahead of time by 10 years, was angular, sharp, and angry looking, people at the time preferred more "curvy" lines. I got the 1.2 16v stilo whit 80hp, at 100km/h does 3.5 liters on 100km, very economical to use, yes is slow, but takes corners and roundabouts at high speed, and people whit far faster cars cannot stay behind a lot (than in the straights im screwed...). I had to get the low power one because of a stupid law in italy about first year drivers can use max 55kw/Ton car, i had to stay under that limit. I still own it cause it saves me money on the next one, is reliable, cheap and easy to fix and can do everything. Is a shame it did bot sell well... but now prices for the stilos are rising to unimaginable levels... i see abarth ones selling from 15 to 20k euros...

0-100 km/h: 7.9 sec 0-160 km/h 16.3 sec 0-200 km/h: 29.4 sec measured by GPS. These parameters support the performance car. Compare the acceleration of my car with videos of other cars, like the 2.0 TFSI 200PS. My car accelerates better and sometimes it does not have DSG.

Cara, eu tinha um STILO SP 16V/122CV, o carro andava muito, e muito mais econômico que os PUNTO por exemplo, as peças eram um pouco caras, confesso, pena que o ABARTH é só no ano 2003 né? Yep, with ASR off is rather not nice for to engine and rest components, but with ASR on it sounds safer for motor, than your start. There's almost no tire o sliding, just pure acceleration if tires have good grip, if not the engine will be weaked to keep the grip.
In Brazil the Marea 2.4 has 160 hp,and the 2.0 turbo has 180hp and don't have diesel marea here... the brazilian stilo abarth has a 2.4 fivetech with 167hp (sorry for my bad english)
what for? simply instantly press acc pedal to the max, and it will start optimally from about 4k rpm when asr is on, or start with lot of tire screaming from 6k rpm when asr is off.

no need to such compication. Just engage 1 gear and fast press acc pedal to the bottom and with ASR on it will start as best as can, slightly relasing clutch from about 4000 rpm as I remeber. The same operation with ASR off will start from about 6500 rpm and clutch relase immediately with a loooooot of skidmarks and tire screaming if u need to impress someone, and don't like your car, u can engage hand brake additionaly :)
Tbh I never tried any of those methods as I am not really a "push the pedal to the metal" guy. I always had to use some feeling for the gas in my previous cars ;D So pressing the gas to the max at the start was never something that would make sense to me :o
Ahoj. Výfuk jsem si nechal udělat na zakázku u firmy Laityng. Šlo se od katíku, kdy středový tlumič nahradil rezonátor a zadní díl jsem si zvolil střední verzi. Byl zvolen i větzší rozměr roury. Pak jsem si nechal auto i načipovat u firmy Autochip v Praze. Kdo tvrdí, že atmo motor nemá cenu čipovat, tak kecá, je to dost znát :) No a nakonec jsem upravil sání, kdy jsem koupil kužel simota a vyvedl ho pod levý přední spoiler, aby měl motor přívod studeného vzduchu.
