- Like the more well-known oxygen sensor, the air/fuel sensor helps create an optimal air/fuel mix by monitoring the level of oxygen in the vehicle’s exhaust gases. The A/F sensor even looks similar to the 02 sensor. But the similarities end there.

You still didn’t say how to tell the difference, you said it’s on the label under the hood but still would like to know how to tell what one it has because it don’t say on the label
Vehicle Emission Control Information: need further explanation: does the O2 in WR-HO2S and HO2S mean O2 sensor? What would an A/F sensor look like?
So you cant use a AF sensor on a vehicle with a O2 Sensor?
nice info. unfortunately i dont have this label to know if my engine 3uzfe use o2 or afr sensor. it a swap. how else to tell?
Air fuel ratio or lambda sensors are upstream of the catalytic converter and o2 sensors are downstream of the catalytic converter 👍. Hope this helps. Ps.. you need to contact or research your specific vehicles though. But generally it's what I said especially after 2000. Not sure before.
Hi, my car kia stonic 2018 1.6 crdi had new dpf,turbo,egr,intake manifold and o2 sensors, and it's still running rich , showing 0.9v at idle and when cruising at constant speed stays at 0.4-0.5v, when giving it throttle it goes down to 0.1-0.2 , when releasing the gas pedal goes as high as 1.4v , running i guess as it regenerates the dpf every 130 miles and has a thin layer of soot inside exhaust tailpipe. Any suggestion what could be wrong with it, kia don't seem to know what's wrong with it .

@@MercyFree no, had lambda sensors replaced , egt replaced , pm sensor replaced, fuel filter , still pushes diesel into oil , still running rich ,still regenerates around 150 motorway miles
