Thank you very much, born in the UK but grown up in JA, heard of nine miles never had the opportunity to visited, back in the UK for 30 years, looking forward to go back to my beautiful country.
One needs to definitely also pay attention to the road when traveling these small winding routes. If you listen closely @1:17 you can hear the oncoming light blue SUV beeping his horn at the camera crew in this very tight curve where there also happens to be an adjacent white vehicle parked on the shoulder dead center of the curve in the worst possible place while the 2 vehicles are circling this narrow curve. I guess that the oncoming SUV was saying "pay attention" to the road closely in this tight spot because there is no room for error here. The local residents in this area are probably very accustomed & comfortable with these small winding one-lane roads but to an outsider like me this would be nerve-wrecking. Maybe the driver of the oncoming SUV was an outsider like me. (Beeping his horn all loud for no reason). LOL!
Thank you, I will be watching this again, it took me back to my early childhood, living in Stepney and walking through Nine Mile to visit our uncle in Eight Mile. Hope you can go through Stepney one day.
In your description of Marley it can't be overlooked that he was a contemporary prophet of his day who happened to express it through the music for the people. (Same thing is said about Bob Dylan in the POP popular music world). But Marley is definitely right there with Bob Dylan globally as the two most world-renown prophets who carried a guiter. Can't leave that out of his title.
I was disappointed that you did not go a little further and turn right and show the school that the great one attended. I remember being in school with the legend. Neville Cooke
Bob's younger brother Anthony Booker was laid to rest in the same crept as Bob but underneath Bob. Anthony was shot and killed in Miami at age 19 by the Miami police it was about 10 years after Bob passed away
