My Husband’s Surprise 40th Birthday Party

- 7 years ago while living in Delaware, I had this desire to throw my husband a 40th birthday party in our backyard. We had no house at that time but the dream was if we got to buy a house before his 40th, I would. We’d met many young and level headed couples who were home owners there and I strongly believed we would have ours with somebody too. Who would have thought we would end up living in our own home for 6 whole years before this day? Oh God is Good!!

Onuawaa, I can’t believe how nervous we’ve been about not capturing enough footage for this special video! Look how perfect it all is! So much love from everybody, the amazing neighbors, our incredible friends, brothers and sisters, Vera, Mama, all the positive, happy energies coming together to display such deep love! So grateful for our small supportive community! I remain in awe of what a blessed and successfully lit party we had. ❤❤❤

Sis, to be honest planning this party put me in a very reflective mood. I thought several times about the heights Kay has gone for me, and to be honest, I realized how many things I’ve taken for granted. So yes, planning this party was emotional for me…and editing also. Most of the videos from the party are from other people and there are many scenes that were captured that made me very happy I did this🙏🏾❤️
